The room was recently remodeled and well done. A large spacious shower for a quaint efficiency. It had everything you needed in it and there was all the beach equipment for use. The beach is a two minute walk, the motel sits next to a public beach access, but you'd never know it. It's a nice quiet, relaxing space. It sits next to the Broke N Bored Grill and they have an outside smoker....it smelled heavenly!

My only complaint would be the wifi - which may or may not be helped. It wasn't always consistent, but it was there.

It is quaint, footsteps from the beach, has a bin of chairs, recliners, umbrellas, a wagon to spend the day at the beach, but easy to come back for lunch. The chairs outside each door enable you to enjoy Judy's lawn and flowers. The towels were soft and white. The proprietor is friendly and helpful.

Hard to think of anything. Maybe some hooks or more towel racks.

What I enjoyed most about my stay at the Carousel Motel - Redington is a combination of a several of things. The motel is on a strip that has a good mixture of places for tourists to stay as well as local residential properties creating the environment for traveler of being on vacation but the feel of home remains. There were plenty of local restaurants that serve excellent food, a convenience store, and a laundromat ALL within walking distance. One huge highlight is the beach is literally right behind the motel. If you go through the back entrance and walk less than a minute you are on the beach! Another aspect I enjoyed is the motel is small therefore there is not a huge amount of foot traffic while at the property, there is a beautiful small courtyard available to relax in if you choose and also a porch area if you decide you want to just relax outside for a bit. The motel has efficiency rooms that are well decorated with a home feeling. The room set up is complete with a small stovetop, fridge, cookware, and all the essentials necessary to make yourself a home away from home. The local Winn Dixie is just about a 5-7 minute trolley ride or drive away. You can definitely make yourself at home away from home. I would definitely recommend this place for travelers looking to get away but don't enjoy the crowds that come with staying in larger hotels and definitely for those who may need extend their stay beyond a small getaway.

I did not like that some of the guests were kind of loud at night but they were on vacation and I certainly do not count that against the motel. Overall my stay was exactly what I needed to get away for a bit.

Very close to the beach. It was very easy to open the room door. No fumbling for a key or a card. Quiet. Good location for restaurants and half way between Clearwater and de Soto. Clean!! And twin beds which are hard to find for two people traveling as friends.

I wish there was more shelving in the bathroom. Space was limited for two solo women.

We loved how close the property was to the beach. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating—quick to respond and excellent with communication. The recently updated rooms were very clean and comfortable. We experienced great hospitality and will definitely be back!

Such a cute, clean, comfortable room and Judy is so sweet and accommodating! Great location and so close to the beach! Judy has beach chairs, umbrellas, towels for the beach. The Carousel is a hidden gem! Definitely look forward to staying here again!

This is a wonderful place to stay for a very reasonable price! The room is large and tastefully decorated in a coastal theme. The kitchen area was clean and spacious with everything you need. The bathroom was clean and neat. I love the fact that the windows open to let the fresh ocean breeze in. While not right on the beach, the hotel is within easy walking distance of the public beach.

The remote on the TV didn't work very well- you had to go right up to the TV to get any of the buttons to work. But this is a very minor detail that didn't spoil our enjoyment of our stay.

We loved the room. Plenty of room for 3. Close to the beach and the restaurant next door was a plus. The only complaint would be the air conditioner. It didn’t let us sleep. It kept turning on and off every few minutes.

Looks like old Florida however, it was cute, comfortable, very clean.

That smoking was allowed in front of the rooms. In order to access my room, I had to walk through the smoke or walk in the grass.
