Quaint mid-century style property with a huge, clean pool in the middle of the lush courtyard. Ample, comfortable tables, chairs, couches and a ton of lounge chairs. The breeze-way was a favorite spot to people watch. Our room was giant, plenty of room for 4. We had a large balcony with seating. Our room included a kitchenette with full sized fridge. You can also reserve a gas grill or flat top (Blackstone type) griddle. More seating on the deck area surrounding the cooking huts. Really a nice place for families to make something to eat. The location was perfect. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle to enjoy a little peace but close enough for easy access to everything. The beach is right across the street. The hotel has the charm of old Florida but is completely updated. So happy to have found it. Cleanliness is a top priority and Isalnd House is one of the cleanest places we've ever stayed. And we are seasoned travelers. We will definitely be returning. Every staff member was amazing and accommodating. Happily passing out beach towels if you forgot yours. Don't pack pool floats because they have plenty to use. All around a fantastic place to stay.

If there was one thing I could change, it would be to slap this place directly on the beach.

Clean, beautiful and comfortable rooms. Wonderful staff and steps away from the beach. We flew to Florida so we had limited space to bring beach essentials. The hotel provided actual beach towels ( not tiny white hotel towels) and had beach chairs, boogie boards, toys etc. that you could sign out and take with you to use on the beach. We spoke with the owner who was very friendly and welcoming - there are some great restaurants and cafes within walking distance and endless options that are just a short drive. Exceptional service! We will be returning!

Pool closed at 9:30pm. Thought it should at least be 10pm. That is my only critique....lol

It was very convenient & just across the street from the beach. All the rooms on the first floor were recently renovated and the decor was outstanding. We were in a double room the first night but wanted a kitchenette so they allowed us to move to a room with one. The room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed the pool where they had numerous tubes and noodles available. There were also beach chairs & umbrellas you could borrow. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We had a great time and will definitely return. I highly recommend this place.

Everything was perfect and had no complaints

I had a wonderful stay at Island House Resort Hotel! The room was large, pristine and well appointed! I really enjoyed the pool and silky smooth check-in/check-out processes. The property is right on the strip and backs up to the bay with the beach across the street. Coconut Charlie's is a nice restaurant next door that offers beachside dining and other amenities.

I had a late check-in and came to the office twice to sign paperwork. The first time there was another family checking in, so the attendant asked me to come back. When I came back later that evening a different attendant was at the desk on the phone. She did not greet me or even acknowledge me. I sat for a few mins expecting that she could multi-task or ask me to return later. No... I ultimately left and did not sign paperwork until my 2nd day at the property.

The staff was very friendly, the owner made sure we had everything we needed and it was very clean. The location was awesome. Everyone was very accommodating and helpful. The pool was great and they had so many extras for the beach and pool. This place is really a gem!

The bedframe was slightly too small for the mattress, so if you laid on the side of the bed, it felt like you were rolling/ falling off the bed. We could also hear our neighbors TV very late at night. Other than that, everything was fantastic!

We liked pretty much everything. The room was immaculately clean and larger than typically expected. Furnishings were new, very attractive and the bed was the most comfortable ever experienced in a hotel. Small kitchenette area impressively designed for efficiency of use. Nice center courtyard and pool. All interaction with staff were friendly, professional and pleasant. It feels like the owners of this property really care about your comfort.

The AC appeared new and kept the room very comfortable but we would have liked it to be quieter at times.

The owner was so welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. All the staff were so nice and accommodating for us. The rooms were a great size, loved the sitting area for morning coffee. Everything was clean and neat. Service was excellent! Location was great for beach and all restaurants and activities. Also was nice to support small business and would definitely go back again.

Diane and Kelly are AMAZING! So nice and willing to help with any needs someone may have had. The suites had everything you might need to get your trip started. Nice and clean in the rooms, the pool was heated, so there was no freezing dips.

There was still some damage from previous hurricanes that they are doing construction on, but honestly, I can't even complain bc we never heard anything from our room or even the pool and bc of that, they were all freshly remodeled.

Great staff very helpful, location, great facilities, they even have grills that you can use, hotel provides chairs and umbrella otherwise they would cost 30 USD on he beach so it is a great help. Free coffee and tea. Very clean, modern, it is almost a perfect place. Washing machine available on the site. Price is somewhat competitive for what they offer comparing the rest of the options in the same area.

The air conditioning unit is by far the loudest I have encountered in any motel or location. Also keeping the room cool about 73f ~ 23C had to keep the unit running pretty much non stop so it was not very pleasant during the night. The room has an almost full kitchen it is missing an oven which you can live without it but since is rented as a small apartment it would have been perfect to have it for some bakeries :) in the morning.

We (2 adults and 1 teen) loved the location! Easy access to the beach its right across the road and there is a cross walk in front of the hotel so no worries about crossing the street. The staff are amazing and helpful. Plus there is coffee and tea available in the office. No need to pack beach towels, chairs, or umbrellas they already have it for your use in the office. Thank you for that! The room was well equipped for fixing food and enough space to not feel cramped. There are BBQ grills you can use with tables near by to fix a meal. The pool was nice and clean. There are plenty of eateries within walking distance and many just a few minutes drive away. Overall this is a nice property with very friendly helpful staff. I'm glad I choose to stay here. I will return to stay again and again.
