The hotel was very nice. Wish we couldve spent some time in the pool haha.

It was a little difficult to find the hotel back behind things. The bed was way too high off the floor. I actually slept on the floor with my pet because she couldnt sleep on the bed.

No breakfast but guests are invited for coffee. Adequate facilities to keep and prepare a light meal in room. Pool is fine with a number of chairs scattered around. Sandy Beach just across road through footpath.

Security Deposit required - which was not advertised nor was I informed on check in. Just an amount appeared as a payment on credit card. Reception couldn’t explain so needed to ring a central booking place to find out what the charge was for. I’ve yet to receive a refund which was promised upon successful inspection of the room by housekeeping. Location is always a drive away from restaurant, bar or even to get an ice cream!

Clean, location, friendly staff, pet friendly, quiet, very lighted location at night. Pizza location on site, complimentary sun block at pool area, grill and gazebo for rental. Home away from home. Early check in or late check out available upon request and availability. Walking distance to beach, liquor store and many other local businesses and food locations. Fitness center across street. Basket ball court behind location. Awesome spot. Not booking it will be your loss. They were updating furniture too!!!

Doors lock automatically so make sure you keep your key with you.

We loved the retro vibe and everything was super clean and comfortable. The communication was excellent. We especially loved the virtual check in, keyless entry, and virtual check out. Staff was very helpful and checked in with us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We were even able to borrow a camp chair for the beach. Definitely recommend checking this place out and we will be back!

This is an older motel and the air conditioning is a window unit that did not get super cool. This was our ONLY complaint, but it was manageable.

Loved that this motel was retro. Built in the 50s but still felt like home. We took our dog with us and management accommodated us with a room on the end of motel closer to the dog park across the street. Pool area was beautiful, but if you wanted the beach it was a walk across the road. The manager was very lovely and very concerned of your needs. She made you feel like family. For the money this was a good pick for us. Close to the beach , restaurants and shopping. We are definitely going back !

Only because of the age of the building there are a few things that need done , but management is working hard to update.

I can't just give this place a 5 because I give it 100 Malibu resort motel was the best motel to stay at right across the street from the beach the hotel had the most cutest pool the decorations,the light, the trees, the exotic birds oh my God I love this motel. it was so clean. The rooms were clean, smell great the bed was extremely comfortable like sleeping on clouds. you can smell the fabric softener the best coffee in the office. and Deb was the most sweetest, helpful host, I just love her & this motel to pieces me and my friends and my family will most definitely be back at this hotel.

I love Deb. I will most definitely be back to visit this motel. If you haven’t booked with her, you should definitely book with her. I promise you will leave so relax and comfortable. It’s a must book with Malibu resort motel.

We liked the location, the pool, and the staff (very friendly and hospitable). Also, very safe area. Loved the room for the mattress, very comfortable!

We missed having central A/C and a vent in the bathroom would’ve been nice to have as well. Finally, we would have liked the ability to stream from applications such as Hulu and Netflix on the TV, rather than only have cable.

The pool was absolutely beautiful and the location was amazing! The room size was very good.

The rooms were clean, the pool area was nice (my only wish was that the heater was on, it was a bit cold still). I LOVED all of the birds that visited the property. And the resident cat and dog! The staff was so friendly as well as the other guests/residents. Love the convenience to the beach and other shops and cafes. Would definitely stay here again!

Wish the pool heater was on, but otherwise I loved it!

The whole thing until the heater went out in the pool, the whole reason I booked this hotel was for the heated pool it was out for 3 days of my vacation so for that reason I won't book here again other than that I give a great rating
