Modern room, good air conditioning, great location in Lakewood ranch

Cleanliness - there was an M&M on the ground by the head of the bed (I don’t eat these, so clearly it had been left by a prior guest), there was a stain of some dried material on the side of the couch I discovered immediately upon entering (I didn’t bother investigating as it was gross to think about, and I didn’t bother with having cleaning services come by either), the bathroom sink faucet sprayed water, and the door to the gym was completely broken off.

The breakfast, Chef Hank is exceptional to your hotel, different items and very morning. He continues to replace empty food so you never fill like you missed. The salad was my favorite, I have never seen anything like it, and might I add a different salad every morning. Loved his French toast. Also the chocolate milk was a plus. Also the Chef had different beverages every day and they were delicious. Arnold Palmer, Iced Tea, Lemonade and the delicious fruit infused water. This is definitely the best breakfast in the world.

The fact that when we checked in our room wasn’t ready when it should have been. We arrived at check in time. Also the pool needs to be opened longer, it’s hard to fit in a night swim after a long day of sightseeing and beaching. Also your hot coffee needs to stay up longer, sometimes it was gone before breakfast was over. Most high scale hotels have 24 hour coffee or atleast have coffee up until after dinner.

The entire experience, every thing I needed, great bed, luxurious bedding, nice seating area, big screen tv with most every channel available, fast easy internet wifi, very nice bathroom, sparkling clean pool , sun or shaded lounges, wide selection of tasty breakfast offerings. Deserving of special mention I highly commend the House Keeping staffs meticulous attention to everything in the room and bath. Bath was spotless, fixtures and tile and glass all polished clean. So in summary, a really comfortable very well appointed and managed hotel.

Only recommendation, I would push the nasty CoffeeMate to the back and add cream or milk at the coffee station. As it is now, you have to get your coffee and then walk way over to the breakfast buffet to find milk for a civilized cup of coffee.

We really liked the location, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming — even with our late arrival from a delayed flight. The room was clean, tidy, and just what we needed after a long travel day. Breakfast the next morning was lovely and a real bonus. This was the perfect stopover before continuing on to Marathon.

However, it was disappointing to arrive and find the sofa bed hadn’t been made up. There were no sheets provided, and we weren’t sure how to set it up ourselves — so unfortunately, one of us ended up sleeping on the sofa. We were exhausted, and as it was only a one-night stay, it didn’t cause too much trouble, but it was still a shame.

We were exceedingly lucky to evacuate here to flee a hurricane. The hotel was packed with guests and their pets. The staff was professional, helpful, accommodating and despite the pressure filled event - the staff bent over backwards to help. Best of all this hotel is in Evacuation Zone E with hurricane glass and appropriate landscaping to prevent damage of falling trees to parked cars. Staff also battened down the hatches to ready the place for extreme 100+ mph winds. Great place!

Fire evacuation due to Laundry room setting off Fire warning. Staff said this happened about a month previously as well.Fire claxion far too loud in lower corridor, Fire Crew said probably due to echoing.

Room was good but don’t like bathroom sink outside of bathroom, room layout was good & clean bed comfy, pool was nice needed to be heated, hot tub not in good working order. Breakfast was awesome, staff fantastic especially our repairman Joe

Had to change rooms to be able to open blinds ,first room all rooms faced each other, hot tub jets not working & pool wasn’t heated

The TV. Slow connection, once out of guide when I chose a channel (ex. CNN) couldn't get back to guide. Anytime I chose a channel, connect to channel was extremely slow. I remember similiar last time I stayed at this property but thought it was a one off. They should take a look at that. Otherwise great stay in every way.

The staff was friendly and the location is close to many shops and restaurants and I-75.

Housekeeping was a hit or a miss. It took my leaving a note after 3 days of no action to have a dirty used coffee cup from the in-room coffee machine to be removed and replaced.

Don't eat breakfast. Coffee was good, fruity water & chocolate chip cookies 🍪 were delicious!

The pool area looked a bit unkept. There was nobody at front desk when I checked out. Didn't get my receipt. The kitchen guy said they will email me my receipt. Haven't gotten it yet?
