My recent stay at the Hampton Inn Athens was truly exceptional! From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere. Nothing, it was exceptional all around!

I booked 2 queen bed room and the app asked if I wanted to upgrade to a king bed a queen bed and a sofa bed so yes I upgraded when I got the room it was just a king bed and a queen sofa-bed so I looked back ant the upgrade message and it did say 3 separate beds. Other than that everything was good.

Liked the friendly staff. The breakfast lady was a real hoot. She had jokes for days and remained on task. The food was delicious and well stocked. She kept the area clean and fun. Here’s a joke for her …why do cows wear bells? Because their horns don’t work;). Thank you Always walk in love.

One elevator was out of service.

The elevator was being worked on upon my arrival. The staff said it should be back up in approximately 10 minutes. I didn't wait and climb the steps to my 5th floor room. I could've waited but wasn't confident it would be working that quickly and was ready to get to my room. The elevator was working when I left the room about an hour later.

I like the location it is central to Starbucks, shopping and restaurants.

I didn’t like the 4 pm checking time. I believe if the room is available at an earlier time then checking should be permitted. the reason for this is the front desk cut my key off at 11 am the day I checked out!!! check our is 12:00pm. I went to load my car and found out the key was not working. I had to walk around the building to get back in and the front desk clerk said it’s already 11:00!!! she activated my key only to find it worked one time and was deactivated again. I hope the Management team can see the frustration it’s unnecessary to deactivate the key when it’s not Time. whatever happened to Good Customer Service. it only exists at Chick-fil-A!!!!!

The breakfast was good for being continental style. I did like that the food wasn’t stale like some continental breakfasts are. The staff was very friendly. The hotel smelled clean and it was quiet. The bed was so comfortable and soft. The room was just what I needed for a 2 night stay.

Prices are twice as high just because it is a college town by and on the weekend. Even though I frequent Hotel. Loyal customers need to shown loyalty. To our satisfaction not just yours. Goes for everyone. Not just hotel. 😉 platform as well.

Our room was very clean and we enjoyed the breakfast both mornings of our stay. The staff was also very friendly.

The pillows were uncomfortable for me.

The linens and bed work extremely clean. The front desk lady was the nicest Absolutely welcoming and friendly.

The location was so so vacant dilapidated buildings around it, definitely felt like I had to make sure everything was out of the car and locked with the people that were hanging around that area. But other than that it was great.

The rate was high per night for the busy location, and the pool is very small. it is in a retail area, not in a neighborhood or good area to walk around.
