Beautiful, historic, quaint .... LOVED the ambiance and the staff were wonderful. My husband is handicapped and relies on a scooter to walk very far. Because this is a historic building, there are a few steps. The staff was ALWAYS right there to lay down the ramp they had for the handicapped and helped us each and every time. We never waited for help. They also brought ice to us each evening.

The inn is right next to a public parking garage. At least twice, car alarms went off in the middle of the night and they were not silenced for at least 15 minutes. Also, the restaurant behind the inn decided to pressure wash their kitchen at 10 o'clock at night for over an hour. The engine powering the power washer was LOUD and right underneath our windows. None of this was the Inn's fault, but be aware, this is a downtown establishment in a crowded tourist district. It is hustle bustle and a bit noisy outside, and well into the night at times.

The moment we arrived, I was offered Chardonnay and a pianist was getting ready to play -what a lovely surprise! It truly set the tone for our stay in Savannah.

Okay -I hope the hotel sees this. The vent on the ceiling in the bathroom by the shower, was filthy!! Since Covid, we are all more conscientious about hygiene. The vent was badly overlooked for a long time. We were also only given 3 towels, no body wash and 1 little bottle of shampoo for a 5 day stay for two people. Would have been nice if it was better stocked. But, other than those two tiny details, it was very nice!

Second stay. Nice historical hotel in great location. Good cookies.

Would have liked trash cans emptied and coffee replenished.

Planters Inn was constructed in 1913. It stands in the southwestern trust/civic block of Reynolds Square, adjoining the Oliver Sturges House, which pre-dates it by exactly a century, being one of two houses originally on the plot. Formerly the John Wesley Hotel,Planters Inn was established in 1984.The inn has sixty rooms, and is in close proximity to The Pink House. Christine & Clay were delightful. Truly charming accommodations near everything. Book through Stash, a collection of historic hotels, and earn rewards!

The city parking garage was doing construction & it was extremely loud. Hopefully done soon.

The hotel is in a great place for tourism. The shower was burning hot. The supplies to the room were enough for my stay and I did not have to call for anything extra. They have a happy hour and cookies available which is a nice touch.

The room is near a road that cars zoomed or played music very loud. The room was freezing and I couldn’t get a good temperature. Luckily they have bathrobes which I needed for warmth. The bed needed a step stool to climb into which I was given.

A great central location and close to everything in the historic district and close to River Street. There's a parking garage next door, or you can valet your car with the hotel. The hotel staff was great, everything question was answered, events and places were suggested, and everyone was very polite and accommodating.

The room was fine, as hotel rooms go. A bit smaller than what I'm normally used to, but a good size for being downtown. We would have liked a microwave, but I can see why you would want to reserve the extra room for the tenants. Not sure if other rooms had the same smell as ours, but it was very noticeable smell of oil, or something. Stay in the room for a while and you can't smell it so much, but it's there when you come back from going out. Also, a bit more light in the room than we're used to sleeping in, but again, it's in the middle of the city, and there are lights everywhere.

This hotel was overall a great experience for us. The location is wonderfully convenient to downtown and the staff were super helpful. We utilized the valet parking and found that it was cheaper than almost all the other hotels in the city by ~$10. Also, we found the rooms very spacious.

The only major complaint we had was that the Wifi did not really reach our rooms. Not sure if they advertised it as working in all the rooms, but I believe it is important to know if you plan on staying here.

The staff were wonderful and the location was perfect for exploring the city on foot. One of our favorite parts about our stay were the complimentary cocktail hours every evening during the week. They were lovely and a great way to relax before going out for dinner.

The rooms, were not the cleanest but still usable. Far better than a lot of locations I have stayed but still I do believe they need to pay more attention to the hvac systems in particular. Ours was caked in years of dust and dirt.

- Excellent location - Prompt service - Close proximity to public parking - Spacious room - Very clean - Great bathroom - Excellent water pressure - Lovely, comfortable 4-poster bed - TV was a good size - warm complementary cookies in the evening

- A bit pricey, especially since there was no breakfast - TV was in an awkward place (on the side of the room, and was a bit obscured by the wall of the bathroom). To watch it, we had to lie in bed with our heads turned all the way to the right - lobby felt cluttered

I love this place. I didn't feel anything supernatural, thank goodness. The lobby had old-time charm. The receptionist was very welcoming and let me check in super early. The room was huge. The twin beds were comfy. There were coffee-making sets, an ironing board, hair dryer in the room. The bathroom had a bathtub and plenty of hot water. The toiletries were Gilbert and Soames. The hotel was close to several interesting areas and within walking distance of a lot of meetups for the group tours. There is also an excellent breakfast place a few meters from the hotel which is highly recommended - Quinn's.

The toilet flushes loudly like it is sucking up the whole building. Almost embarrassing to flush at night and early morning. The beds were also too high for a short person like me (5 feet 1 inch).
