This charming and beautiful place definitely exceeded our preconceived ideas based on location & price. We had set a low bar but were delightfully surprised at the clean tastefully decorated spacious room & the number of things to do (which we couldn’t appreciate this time.) Would like to come back. We did not get to meet any staff in person but we were well accommodated anyway.

The location was perfect for where we were going. I loved the balconies with firepits and games. They had lights on them at night making it so pretty. The beds were so comfortable! There's a fridge and microwave in the rooms. It's in a quiet location and still close to everything. There's a great restaurant next door. You can rent kayaks from them or a s'mores kit. They have thought of everything!

I think the price is a little high but not to bad I also think there could be some maintenance taken care of I've stayed more then once and one week the room didn't have a bathroom fan. This time the bathroom door didn't close all the way. My mom stayed in her own room last week and her toilet leaked and the fridge leaked. So for 80 dollars some stuff could be fixed.

Off the beaten track. Beautiful landscape. Prairie grassland topped with lava flows. Pure clear air. Resturant next door operated by two native lads is excellent. Quaint small village <800 people. Motel is only place with 2nd story. I picked this place out of the air as a last stop before the Mountains of the Moon Nat Park. Very nice. Family friendly. Pets? (don't know)

Wonderful location. Very quiet at night. Still quiet when we left at 7am. Restaurant next door liked very popular and must be good, but we had already eaten. Arrived about 8:45 and the office was closed but there was a phone to call for assistance. Girl who answered was very friendly and was in the office almost instantly. Check in was fast efficient and very friendly. Room was very clean except the carpet. Towels very soft and bedding had some style, which was a nice surprise. Family owned, which we try to find when possible. Remodel in progress, but no sounds or inconvenience from the work.

The only thing that I would ding them for was the carpet. It was very dirty. We all noticed the next morning that our feet were black on the bottom.

Great location, clean room with comfortable beds and pillows. Staff is was nice and the restaurant next door was a bonus.

The air conditioner is extremely noisy so we had to turn it off to sleep, which made the room a bit warm. It needs to be repaired or replaced. I couldn't figure out how to get local stations. There needs to be better instructions regarding using their TV controllers.

After having car trouble and missing an already late check-in I understood I would be loosing 100% of the non-refundable reservation. I called the next morning, got no answer, and left a message requesting a partial refund. I did not hear anything back but later that afternoon the car was fixed and I thought we could make it the 400 miles to Hagerman so I asked if instead of a refund I could use the fee from the previous night. The staff surprised me with a "Yes, we can do that." The place was great! Staff friendly. Beds comfortable, Everything was clean and working great. I've been travelling from Colorado to Oregon for 20 years and the Valley Inn is now my "go to" hotel.

The rooms were clean and cozy. The owners are making updates that are pleasing and give you that comfortable woodsy feeling.

There was not a breakfast provided but a restaurant was within walking distance. They may want to consider a voucher for the restaruant for breakfast. I've seen that done before.

Comfortable bed, pillows. Room design. Clean towels, shampoo, conditioner and lotion provided. Bonus chocolate is nice! Microwave, Keurig machine with bonus coffee cups, refrigerator clean and working. Nice, quiet place.

Nobody at front desk when we arrived for check in and check out. You have to call the person from front desk to come in to give a key, in general he was nice. For check out you have a little nice vase with a note to drop your key there. It’s look like this room was used for customers with pet because a lot of pets hairs stick to my feet when I walked bare foot.

The location is good. It is a bit off the freeway but it is easy to get back on heading east. The value was wonderful. All we needed was a good night's sleep during a long cross country journey. The bed was very comfortable. The walking distance to the restaurant was awesome. The TV was huge!

There was an old broken down Rv in the parking lot (which is not paved). The freezer didn't work very well, so our ice packs for our cooler did not refreeze. Need better pillows, they are small and go flat quickly.
