the staff were extremely polite & helpful, listened to any concerns I had and answered all my questions. good communication. the other guests were friendly and respectful. lots of a nice spots to eat nearby & there's a library down the road. the blue heron is cute and comfortable.

you get what you pay for with a motel, so if you can't do old or a bit messy then it's not gonna be for you. but if you don't mind it then you'll be fine & if a room isn't up to your (reasonable) standards then the staff will be accommodating. **if the water isn't getting hot then try actually turning the knob to the cold side instead. worked for me.

The owner/operator Danish (spelling?) and his beautiful 90-year mother came out in the drizzling rain to welcome us with big smiles on their faces. Check-in was a breeze. He showed us a convenient parking spot and gladly helped bring our luggage to our secure and beautifully appointed non-smoking king room up on the second floor, where we had a good night rest following our engagement for the evening. Upon our checkout the following morning, Danish formally introduced his pleasant aging parents and graciously obliged our curiosity regarding his family and the origins of his business. Danish finally bade us farewell and directed us to a eatery down the road where we could have breakfast. We heartily recommend the modest and relatively affordable family-owned and operated Fairbridge Inn Express for visitors to Barrington, Illinois and environs.

I wish that we could have stayed a little longer. About the property, not all rooms are like the room we occupied however, Danish assured us that he is working hard to change that. He pointed to the recent pandemic and complications in the purchase process as recent setbacks. We wish him well.

Owner very friendly, helpful, and always available. Accommodations are simple but adequate, just what I expect of "two-star" rated lodgings. It was safe, quiet, and easy to sleep well. Since sleep was really my goal, I was satisfied. The price was a bargain.

No real complaints. Some fixtures are aging but they work, and that's all I ask.

I loved the fact that they were friendly when I came, and when I came back late in another vehicle they made sure I got to the door leading inside ok. The bed was very comfortable and I slept amazing.

One of the windows was shattered on the outside, not sure if they knew, was going to let them know but no one seems to be in the office ever. You have to call. Vacuum around tables, and the chair if that means moving them do it. There was food on the floor when I moved the chair. Also the air conditioner had possibly mold on the vents. That needs to be wiped or cleaned with bleach. It could just be a dust buildup also. There was 2 burn holes on the blanket.
