The breakfast. Definitely the coffee. I was impressed ,usually Hotel Coffee is not very good. The staff kept the food stocked and everything was hot and fresh. The staff was so friendly and helpful . The staff kept the eating area clean , and as soon as someone got up and left, someone was there to wipe off the table for the next person. Arriving at the hotel, we got lost due to the construction out front. One of your employees was coming to work,and we were obviously struggling ,he asked us if he could help. We told him the problem he said "follow me I will take you there". Come to find out, he was an employee. He was so kind and helpful.

The door on the room didn't close correctly. You had to slam it shut or pull hard on it to get it to close. Having to sign up for times to use the pool. The lids on the cookware at breakfast is extremely heavy. No lotion.

The bread on the breakfast buffet is sub-standard. As for yogurt, it would be good to provide individual cups of yogurt with different varieties/flavors, including "plain" yogurt for people who do not like sweetened yogurt (In general, there is way too much sugar in those flavored yogurts!). Otherwise, the breakfast buffet was surprisingly good--I have few exceptions these days of breakfast bars in U.S. hotels.

Hotel was very close to site for wedding ceremony, reception. My daughter was the bride, and we needed to go to the site several times for rehearsal, set up, ceremony and tear down, so the hotel location was very important!! The hotel staff member was friendly, helpful and welcoming. The underground parking lot was secure and safe. Neighborhood businesses, restaurants were great!

Expensive! Also, having a microwave in the room would have been nice.

Nice and clean and modern. i had a very spaceous room with one bed and a sofa.

The door to my room (417) didnt automaticall shu, you had to pull it shut. i didn’t notice the first time but a very nice lady memeber of the stadf ponted it out. The room didn’t have a safe which I was OK with but I was somewhat surprised to see that in such a nice hote.

Great location and amazing friendly staff. Everything about the area was so great. Not as crowded with tourists but we were able to see an fun parade for the Fourth of July and check out the local festival

No complaints really. Free breakfast would have been nice, but we found a lot of very close restaurants to every day

Location. Excellent room design. Friendly and helpful staff.

Breakfast ! Do not mind bussing cups, plates, silverware, etc. but having a container where people dump their leftovers is extremely unappealing. Need more staff keeping the breakfast room clean and tidy. Many family with children frequent the place and children easily drop food while serving themselves the counters and floor get messy and slippery.

The staff, Chuck, Cordell and Israel, were absolutely awesome! Especially Chuck! He gave us good 👍 advice on restaurants! We met some ppl in the hotel and enjoyed talking in the lounge area. Chuck recommended a restaurant and we all went. Was delicious.

The rooms were nice, however, in the one time we got our towels changed out...no coffee cups were given, or bed made. We had to go downstairs for more toilet paper. No microwave for our leftovers.

Value of Money, Clean, Room size. Breakfast Friendly Staff.

CTA Transporation is 10 minutes, Only CTA buses is available or Metro Transporation which is NOT part of CTA. Far from Downtown. Room Service should be requested daily, first day you will get towels change and trash pickup only, second day you should have the full room service, but we did not have it even we did request a full room service.

Newly renovated rooms and lobby. Clean and decent amenities. Location is fine if you are visiting people who live in Hyde Park and/or near University of Chicago. I do not recommend this hotel for regular tourists who want to see Chicago as it is a bit far from the main attractions of Chicago. we were visiting family in Hyde Park and therefore the location was great for us.

the breakfast was horrendous! overall, I do not think the hotel (all things considered) is worth what they charge per night! sorry! I am a traveler and I paid more for this hotel in some of the most expensive cities in the world for the same number of nights! I do not know how the price is set by Hyatt on this property but it is not worth what they charge; it’s good but it’s not 1200+ USD for 4 nights worth! That’s Paris, NYC, LA, London pricing, not neighborhood pricing in Chicago.

Chuck was so friendly and helpful! Garage access was not a hassle, little walking. Good breakfast, always stocked despite being busy. Comfy beds

the breakfast potatoes could've been cooked longer and/or seasoned. Same with the sausage. Everything was plentiful but it was bland. Salt and pepper was my best friend 😆
