My boyfriend and I stayed at the holiday inn countryside for two nights to explore downtown Chicago. It was close enough to the city at a decent price and the stay was fabulous. Everything from the room to the amenities was a great time and the staff were friendly and even wished me a happy birthday! Would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an affordable stay.

The location was convenient, and the staff was helpful. The person who checked us in gave us a voucher for two free breakfasts the following morning. This was nice and unexpected. The breakfast was good once we got it. The pool is a big plus. It is an Olympic sized pool with plenty of space around it to sit. My nephew fully enjoyed it.

Getting extra towels was a challenge. The breakfast setup was not the best to the point of being disorganized. The only reason we did the breakfast was due to the voucher.

Stayed here because of the pool. It's a kids favorite and well worth the stay. The pillows were very comfy as was the bed. The bathroom was clean.

The noise outside the room was loud and went on late into the night. It appeared a cleaning lady was on her cell phone talking to someone and very loud. Then we heard someone (male) from bother room talking out tonight hallway, also loud. Also when we went to the pool area there weren't any clean towels even though there weren't many people there. When we called for clean towels they came with about a dozen for the whole place- they were gone in a matter of mins. Need more clean towels and to constantly monitor them.

Pool was nice. Clean. Large size. No towels provided at pool even when requested. Poor lighting at pool after dark. The light fixtures didn’t work properly. There was not a complimenttry breakfast and that was not made clear. We purchased breakfast at the bar. No complimentary coffee at desk which was advertised. Not enough towels provided for entire stay without asking

Pool is 60 feet long, from 4' to 7' deep and soooo warm. Beds are comfortable, shower was very good, i felt welcomed even though I wasn't dressed up like many guests. Television was good sized and very good color. Room was comfortable in temperature and no funny smell like other places. Very nice.

I felt there was plenty of room in the pool room to fit in two hot tubs, this would've completed our wish list for a hotel. You can hear just a little bit too much of the talking in the hallways when you're in your room. I will definitely stay again.

I would have like a better selection for the breakfast items for example some cereals, milk, granola, cut up fruit; boiled eggs, a waffle maker with butter and jellies

It was just a grab and go breakfast which was ok

No restaurant or bar in the hotel and the pool was out of order

It was central to the activities I had to attend to. The room was quite and comfortable.

The coffee was empty and the area was unclean. Garbage falling out of the garbage can and spill on the floor.

We always stay at this location when we’re in town. Rooms are nice size, modern, clean for the most part, and in a good location.

Pool was closed while we stayed there.
