The location was excellent. We were visiting family in the area and our travel time was very manageable. The breakfast was plentiful and good, with many options. Our room was spacious (we had a king room with sofa bed) and clean. We also had a great view of the city. The valet parking, although expensive, was excellent. The valet attendants were speedy and friendly. Our interaction with the front desk personnel and restaurant/ bar personnel was pleasantly refreshing.

I mentioned the excellent valet parking option, but it seems that there wasn't a choice. The only other option was to find a parking spot on the street near the hotel. There isn't a parking garage near the hotel.

Only complaint is that we weren’t told that the rooftop was automatically charging a 25% service charge and another 25% gratuity. There were no signs or declarations prior to ordering. Then the bartender wanted another tip when we didn’t know about these charges. I almost tipped another 20% but my wife caught the charges. So I crossed off the additional tip. Restaurants who automatically charge a tip state “additional tip” on the cc receipt - not just “tip” like you are hiding the first tip and additional service fee. This would likely be considered a deceiving conduct of business for its customers.

Really nice hotel, staff were very friendly and accommodating when we checked in early. Nice breakfast with good views of the city. The valet parking was good and the guy running it when we arrived was super helpful and directed us to the free street parking

Nothing major. It’s a big far from the city, you need to do a bit of a walk to the metro. Within walking distance of the Salt Shed which suited us perfectly

We were staying at the hotel because of location. We were visiting Chicago for work and to celebrate our 5 year old son turning six. And while I was originally somewhat irritated that I actually paid extra to stay on a high floor - not realizing that there were only 8 floors to this hotel, and feeling like I'd been taken advantage of - Judy Szurgot made our stay a fantastic one. She went completely out of her way to help us celebrate our son's birthday. There were balloons and cookies and a banner in the room when we arrived, and later there were even more cookies when Judy stopped by to sing happy birthday to our son. It was such a sweet gesture. The next day there were more balloons hanging on the door. Thanks, Judy.

Our room keys consistently would not work. We had to go to the front desk at least 4 times in a 3 day stay to get the keys fixed. Actually I think I went 4 times and my wife went several times.

My stay was quite disappointing. The accessible bathroom design caused significant water spillage, making the entire bathroom floor wet and uncomfortable to use. On the day of check-out, despite receiving a message from the valet service, my car wasn't ready as promised, which was inconvenient. These issues reflect poor attention to both room maintenance and service coordination. While the hotel may have other merits, these problems significantly impacted my experience.

Really great accommodations for the price and location. Very easy to get to (despite Chicago traffic). The staff was very pleasant and property was clean, modern, operated very competently. I recognize the reality of all the moving parts involved in running a hotel so often am very forgiving of almost anything, but I didn't have a single complaint here. Everything was clean, functional, quiet, ran like clockwork, we loved it. It was a short but fantastic stay!

No complaints! And this is of no consequence at all, but the stickers being left on the complimentary apples had me laughing for some reason HAHAHA, I don't even know why. Tasty apples though!

We loved everything about our stay. The valet staff was super nice and helpful also. Rooms are so nice. I liked that only guests could access the elevators with the key. Beds were so comfy. We could control the room temp. Overall 10/10 and will stay here again when we come back to Chicago. It was close to great food also.

That we could not use the balcony from restaurant to see the eclipse.

The breakfast was fantastic! Fresh fruit, oatmeal, lots of warm, hearty selections. The rooftop bar, Kennedy's, is a great atmosphere for a late-night drink.

The walls are quite thin. We could hear the hallway music by the elevator throughout our stay. The layout of this hotel is interesting since its lobby is on the 7th floor--just took some getting used to.

Breakfast was good, but was the same for all 3 days I was there. Fruit (bananas) wasn't really fresh, hash browns were a little soggy - not crispy (were in a streamer pan). Would have liked to see some link sausage and a waffle iron with batter would be a great addition! Room itself was amazingly functional - probably the most functional hotel room I've ever stayed in, Lots of space that made me feel like I didn't have to put my duffle on the bureau! Lots of functional touches that really made it an EASY stay, Nice clean linens, great shower pressure and plenty of hot water!

Bed was a little soft. Traffic noise was constant - I am not used to that. Folks in the room next door kept going in and out (probably 15 times in 45 minutes) around 10PM and kept letting their door slam. Super irritating.

The building and the location were very nice. The breakfast was decent, although could use a few more options. The building was safe and comfortable.

The pull out bed in my double room barely fits and you cannot open refrigerator if bed is open. Inside my refrigerator there was rotten food from a previous guest that was left behind. And there were no trash bag liners in our trash cans.
