I love the location, accommodations and the pool. My family, who I come visit in the area, come over to swim. They enjoy it. The breakfast was hot and good.

I just recently booked two nights- Saturday June 21st and Sunday 22nd, My plans changed and I needed to get home a day earlier. When I arrived at 3:30 Saturday to check in, I was not able to cancel my reservation for Sunday night due to the desk help was not able to do it from his end. (?) He told me to tell the front desk in the morning and it would be cancelled with no charge. In the morning the front desk said she was also unable to cancel the night with no charge, but was able to cancel with charging me a late cancellation fee of $28.00- I paid for Saturday night and the late fee. I would appreciate it if someone who does have the authority would look at this. I go to this Comfort Inn, Crystal Lake/ Algonquin several times a year and enjoy it. Thank you! Sara Smith McFarland

we stayed in room 307, after we got back from dinner, 2 hours after trying to go to sleep, we realized our bed was broken. the springs gave in, we tried out the sofa bed and that mattress was much, much worse. the elevator "ride" did not feel very comfortable either as it felt like it was breaking on us every time we'd go up to our floor, we contemplated on taking the stairs every time. other than that, not a bad stay.

We had difficulty keeping the room cool enough, especially during the night. Small bathroom space; sink outside the bathroom is both a plus and a minus! Several family members stayed at the hotel. The room charges varied a lot; that was frustrating but I know different booking agencies have different rates. When calling the hotel directly, we didn’t always get the hotel desk??

We enjoyed the food pretty much ! I think it was just heat and eat omelette. Bacon was good, my kids like making the waffles and the choice of beverages will be back.

Honestly, we had no complaints. Our room was very adequate. I asked for more towels because I was bringing three children with and myself. The pool was a little crowded, but it was less than the 25 required in the pool. The water was clean was fun.

Place was recently updated so nice. Clean as well. The pool was pretty small ( and the tiles were clean); the water temperature was wonderfully warm. I had it all to myself so did my full hour of exercises and swimming. Breakfast was good with choices: ours were eggs and sausages and fruit. Would stay there again. Nearby park with a sand/lake swim area was great for a picnic dinner.

We were on the main floor, right across from the pool. We loved being close to the pool. It was not noisy at all. The buffet breakfast was adequate, at best. I have to be gluten free, so very limited choices, since buffets rely heavily on breads, waffles and pastries. I had a banana and peanut butter, and one morning, bacon, eggs and seasoned potatoes. Coffee was not very good, at all.

There was an adequate breakfast. Our grandchildren enjoyed the pool. The AC units were in good working order.

Do to some construction going on at the sight, the cable for supplying WIFI had been severed so WIFI was not available. This required using our own phone's data. I think a reduction in the room rate would have been in order. But no offer was given. Had there been a partner hotel nearby, this also might have been suggested.

The location was important. The room was nice. Bathroom a bit outdated, but that didn't affect my stay. The breakfast is what is expected. Bed was comfy, pillows could be higher quality. My only beef is that doors across the hall slammed all night. In the morning I noticed that it was to an employee area, which is crappy.

it was ok. somewhat disappointed they did not have bacon one day. but sausage was good paper thin though

the price could have been lower. we were there for a traveling baseball tournament at leopold park. i think they jack-up the price because of that. the price is now around 150-200 a night

The atmosphere of the entire place was fantastic. I cannot express how wonderful it was after driving nearly 7 hours with kids to have such a friendly staff member greet me. Ever person of the hotel staff i met was caring and listened. Even the guy who ran the breakfast every morning asked how we liked the breakfast and if everything met my expectations. I would definitely stay again!
