The pool area is nice for kids. The courtyard was nice to sit in and you can still see into the pool area to watch the kids. The elevators were clean and we never waited to get onto one. The breakfast was really good, we had it twice. They do not change it up though. Same stuff daily. We liked the small convince store off the lobby. It did offer a good amount of items, but does not sell alcohol. We had a king room and the bed was really comfortable.

There were only two ice machines. That was a hassle. The place is huge and a kid could very easily be turned around in there. The game room is not a game room. There are a few pool tables, a outdated claw machine, pac man, and air hockey table. The parking is really bad. If you get there later in the evening plan to park over in the northeast lot where the truckers park.

Everything was clean, everyone was kind, breakfast was great. The guy who was putting breakfast out was rude to my daughter but seemed to be very kind to everyone else in the dining area. He clearly knew many of them. My daughter is 10 with a neurocongnative disorder. She is very quick and impulsive. I know that he does not know that but he should consider many things when speaking to children and adults for that matter. I absolutely understand why he said what he said but his tone and comment about doing whatever she wants to do at home but not there was uncalled for. Other than that, everything was really great.

My husband and I just had a two night stay at this hotel. Our expectations were exceeded in every aspect. The room was large and clean. The beds were so comfortable. The breakfast area was wonderful and the free breakfast offered delicious and varied items for breakfast. Eggs, bacon, sausages, oatmeal, fruit, cereal, bagels, waffles, etc. The pool,, hot tub, and sauna were absolutely wonderful. Perfect temperature for each of them. Laundry was also available. The staff we dealt with were lovely, efficient and knowledgeable. Our experience with the shuttle going to and from the airport was wonderful. This hotel is a class act and you won't regret choosing it for your stay in Des Moines ... whether it be long or short.

Not a thing.

Everything was very clean and the staff was so incredibly nice! Everyone we interacted with even if it was just walking past someone from housekeeping they smile or have a good morning/evening for you. The hot breakfast was great with lots of options and the gentleman overseeing the breakfast kept everything fresh and stocked and was very friendly. We didn’t get a chance to enjoy the pool but it looked very nice and the people swimming seemed to enjoy it.

There wasn’t much but the only elevator was at the other side of the hotel from the lobby and the two other entrances had a lot of people smoking by them so they smelled of cigarette smoke.

Clean, comfortable

When I pulled up the button on the faucet to run the shower, half the water kept pouring out the faucet. I reported the problem to front desk. Bathroom sink has a slow drain. Probably just needs cleaning out. And the light switch at the door didn't work. Also the bed frame makes some clanking noise every time I got in it . Room 132, bed next to the wall.. All minor things that just need a touchup. Overall, pretty wonderful. Loved the humidifier too! And coffee in lobby all the time! Didn't try the coffee in my room. Free breakfast was great!

Beds were very comfy. Lots of amenities to enjoy. Pool, hot tub and sauna was nice, clean kept up on. The little store has quite a bit at good prices. Our room was clean. The rec room had quite a bit to do pool table video games etc. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay will definitely be on the top of our lists to come again.

The only thing that did suck was the parking it was a weekend it was busy and if you left for dinner you lost your parking we had to park far from our room both nights.

Staff were friendly. Breakfast was amazing. Beds were comfy. Location was great. I saw a complaint about the trucking students- they were definitely around (especially hanging out in the pool area) but were friendly and not bothersome at all. I appreciated the dehumidifier in our room and it was definitely needed as we emptied it 3 times in 2 days.

The Internet stopped working and when we asked the front desk, they told us we had to call tech support. Seemed a bit strange that it was our responsibility and that was frustrating . Ended up just needing to re-sign in after leaving the property and coming back. Didn't figure that out until after being on hold for almost 45 min. Exhaust fan in the bathroom would be nice- ours didn't seem to work.

Very clean, modern design, ample parking. Staff was very attentive. Jane greeted us on arrival with free cookies. We explained we had an additional room booked for the following night for our daughter and her boyfriend and we would be attending a concert so we would be in pretty late. The following evening(actually 1am next morning) Marianna greeted us and had everything ready for them. Very smooth. Very nice. Excellent breakfast well attended by Jorge both mornings. Our daughter and boyfriend made use of the pool and spa which were excellent and very clean. Next time in Des Moines we will definitely book this property.

My son-in-law took me to the hotel. He had seen it years ago and was overwhelmed at how awesome it is now. Everything was immaculate. The breakfast was awesome too: hot biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon, eggs, cereals, pastries, and that was just what I saw. Then... I told, James, the cook who was on the spot in the dining room to oversee everyone's needs and wants, that those biscuits and gravy were great and I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. And James is also the shuttle driver and picked me up at 4:00 a.m. and took me to the airport. Wonderful guy. The whole staff went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. The pool was big, the game room was very nice, the rooms for meetings, weddings, etc. were all well-appointed. Enough said! Oops, the "shower power" sold it too. Awesome.

The staff were excellent. We arrived early and needed to store our luggage, while we returned our hire car. The staff helped us store it in a secure room. We were allowed to wait in the Inn, after we returned from lunch with friends and it was still too early for check in. The room was spacious. The shower was hot. It had an elevator and a snack shop. The Inn had many facilities, which we could have used: spa/ swimming pool, rec rom, exercise room. It was also quiet. They had a free shuttle bus to and from the airport - on the hour.

Unfortunately the Inn lost internet power in the late afternoon and it only returned during the night. This was a problem for checking into flights. Breakfast was similar to other Inns. There was a very limited selection for the GF, but you could toast your own bread. They did have fresh fruit, yoghurt, hot scrambled eggs, cold boiled eggs, sausage and bacon. Once again breakfast used polystyrene containers. It was not within walking distance of shops or restaurants- you would have to drive.
