The beds were comfortable and the hotel had multiple options of activities to do during the stay. The staff was exceptionally nice and gave us a highlighted map to show us how to get to our room since we've never stayed here before.

This one is partially on me, I could have called. The second day of our stay the room wasn't restocked (I made sure I didn't have the sign on the door handle outside of the room). It wasn't a big deal as our family of 4 already took showers the previous night. The next day everything was restocked and cleaned. Again, this could very well be rules that are set for housekeeping that the stay has to be 3 nights (clean 2nd day) to restock/clean. The cleaning wasn't a worry as we kept our room relatively clean.

The friendly staff members, particularly in the breakfast nook which had one of the best complimentary breakfast options we have enjoyed. The atmosphere was so very pleasant. For example, I was doing my PT in the workout room and appreciated the fact that a more experienced trucker was mentoring a newbie. Well behaved gentlemen throughout the hotel provided a quiet, safe atmosphere. Both the sauna, therapy bench and larger, nine-foot depth pool were much appreciated bonuses. The bathroom had a regular door unlike the unpleasant barndoor style in many new hotels and an additional sink and mirror with blow dryer in the room.

Instant Folgers coffee in both lobby and breakfast room. While I prefer a very firm mattress, our daughter preferred the soft mattress at the hotel. Definitely a personal preference. If one swims laps, the entire side with stairs makes turning off both walls impossible. However, if folks want to sit on those stairs and chat it is ideal. The 24 hour store's inventory covered all the bases.

This is not a very fancy property, but it is filled with amenities. I was impressed with the pool area, gym, breakfast room, convivence store and general physical plant. The breakfast in the morning was hot, had good variety, and crispy bacon! The room was well appointed. Although, I was using this place just a place to rest my head for a weekend, I feel like I could spend a day lounging around this hotel, which is not what I was expecting at this price point. It is my understanding (based on what I overheard from an employee) that the hotel is really owned and operated by TMC Transporation, which may explain why the hotel is so nice.

The pool area is nice for kids. The courtyard was nice to sit in and you can still see into the pool area to watch the kids. The elevators were clean and we never waited to get onto one. The breakfast was really good, we had it twice. They do not change it up though. Same stuff daily. We liked the small convince store off the lobby. It did offer a good amount of items, but does not sell alcohol. We had a king room and the bed was really comfortable.

There were only two ice machines. That was a hassle. The place is huge and a kid could very easily be turned around in there. The game room is not a game room. There are a few pool tables, a outdated claw machine, pac man, and air hockey table. The parking is really bad. If you get there later in the evening plan to park over in the northeast lot where the truckers park.

Everything was clean, everyone was kind, breakfast was great. The guy who was putting breakfast out was rude to my daughter but seemed to be very kind to everyone else in the dining area. He clearly knew many of them. My daughter is 10 with a neurocongnative disorder. She is very quick and impulsive. I know that he does not know that but he should consider many things when speaking to children and adults for that matter. I absolutely understand why he said what he said but his tone and comment about doing whatever she wants to do at home but not there was uncalled for. Other than that, everything was really great.

My husband and I just had a two night stay at this hotel. Our expectations were exceeded in every aspect. The room was large and clean. The beds were so comfortable. The breakfast area was wonderful and the free breakfast offered delicious and varied items for breakfast. Eggs, bacon, sausages, oatmeal, fruit, cereal, bagels, waffles, etc. The pool,, hot tub, and sauna were absolutely wonderful. Perfect temperature for each of them. Laundry was also available. The staff we dealt with were lovely, efficient and knowledgeable. Our experience with the shuttle going to and from the airport was wonderful. This hotel is a class act and you won't regret choosing it for your stay in Des Moines ... whether it be long or short.

Not a thing.

Everything was very clean and the staff was so incredibly nice! Everyone we interacted with even if it was just walking past someone from housekeeping they smile or have a good morning/evening for you. The hot breakfast was great with lots of options and the gentleman overseeing the breakfast kept everything fresh and stocked and was very friendly. We didn’t get a chance to enjoy the pool but it looked very nice and the people swimming seemed to enjoy it.

There wasn’t much but the only elevator was at the other side of the hotel from the lobby and the two other entrances had a lot of people smoking by them so they smelled of cigarette smoke.

Clean, comfortable

When I pulled up the button on the faucet to run the shower, half the water kept pouring out the faucet. I reported the problem to front desk. Bathroom sink has a slow drain. Probably just needs cleaning out. And the light switch at the door didn't work. Also the bed frame makes some clanking noise every time I got in it . Room 132, bed next to the wall.. All minor things that just need a touchup. Overall, pretty wonderful. Loved the humidifier too! And coffee in lobby all the time! Didn't try the coffee in my room. Free breakfast was great!

Beds were very comfy. Lots of amenities to enjoy. Pool, hot tub and sauna was nice, clean kept up on. The little store has quite a bit at good prices. Our room was clean. The rec room had quite a bit to do pool table video games etc. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay will definitely be on the top of our lists to come again.

The only thing that did suck was the parking it was a weekend it was busy and if you left for dinner you lost your parking we had to park far from our room both nights.

Staff were friendly. Breakfast was amazing. Beds were comfy. Location was great. I saw a complaint about the trucking students- they were definitely around (especially hanging out in the pool area) but were friendly and not bothersome at all. I appreciated the dehumidifier in our room and it was definitely needed as we emptied it 3 times in 2 days.

The Internet stopped working and when we asked the front desk, they told us we had to call tech support. Seemed a bit strange that it was our responsibility and that was frustrating . Ended up just needing to re-sign in after leaving the property and coming back. Didn't figure that out until after being on hold for almost 45 min. Exhaust fan in the bathroom would be nice- ours didn't seem to work.
