The central location of the hotel was great, very walkable. Was less than a 15 minute drive to everywhere we needed to go. I liked the ambience and the boutique nature of the hotel.

Was disappointed that guests weren't offered any discounts, etc. on breakfast. At the very least: offer a coffee and tea station. Plus, the restaurant only offered breakfast... The waitress mentioned they would open for lunch and dinner eventually, but I think there should be some sort of voucher or discount for hotel guests to encourage patronage. Need more options for parking, even if it's at a parking garage nearby.

Stayed in the Tiger Suite, the room was amazing. One of the most comfortable hotel beds I've slept in. Location was great. Staff was very helpful and nice. Room was exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. IF you can find street parking its free. Could not hear any sound bleeding through the walls.

Bathtub was not as big as it looked and did not have cold water for some reason, so we ran down the hall to the ice machine to get the bathwater to a normal temp. Valet parking is $33, Pay lot next door is $13 a night. Room was expensive, even for how nice it is. Some of the outdoor areas like the balcony seemed to hold water, and I can see that being a problem if a bad or long storm came through.

This place was exceptional. We booked last minute not expecting to be in the area and only needed one night stay. The price was budget friendly which is usually what we look for, so it surprised us to see a place this upscale. Located downtown, coffee bar and restaurant inside. Clean and modern with huge room and bathrooms.

One minor negative that didn't affect us due to the time we pulled in is parking. They charge $33 additional for parking and have valet if you're into that. The other option is parking on the street which may be hard to find depending on the time of day you get there. We arrived around 10pm and had no issues finding parking across the street from the hotel in your typical city curb parking areas.

Location to the Raising Canes Event center was great, walking distance! My mother in law loved the breakfast and thought the value was excellent (I don’t eat breakfast). Felt very safe, staff very welcoming and knowledgeable. Parking is charged per day, that was the only down fall of this hotel. My mother had a couch chair and we had only a chair for 2 people. Wish the front desk would have informed upon check in as her room for 1 was way larger!

Staff were friendly!

I went out to my car and there was a homeless person with their pants pulled down going to the bathroom in the street right next to my trunk area. I had to stand on the sidewalk away from my vehicle to give her time to finish using the restroom. Then I actually had to move my car because there was human waste I would have to avoid anytime I got in my car. The 1st Suite we got had a maintenance man working inside (repainting the room) when I opened the door. Went back to the front desk and they gave us a new room that was not as nice as our 1st suite (that I paid for). They seemed a little frustrated at the maintenance man (apparently he does that a lot, just shows up in rooms and starts working without letting the front desk know).

Love the location and hotel style.

Whoever designed the electrical outlets and lighting for the rooms was an idiot! There were no plugs in one of the bathrooms for a blow dryer and it was super dark in the other one. We stayed in the two bedroom suite with balcony. There were lamps in the main room, and either the bulbs were burned out, or they were just decorative, because we couldn’t figure out how to turn them on. I’ve stayed several times and find that lighting is desperately needed in all the rooms.

I had my credit cards compromise, and that was a headache, but the staff upfront was wonderful. Eric took care of me and help me through this situation called the manager immediately. Tabatha was amazing as well. She help me get in my room one night when my car didn’t work, the staff was wonderful. The place was great. Location was awesome. I would definitely stay there again.

Didn’t have a complaint

It is such a beautiful hotel and pet friendly. Checking in and out was easy, and everyone on staff was wonderful. Our room was terrific. We were next to an elevator and heard nothing, not even neighbors or pets. I did not want to leave. The Origin by Wyndham hotels are in only a few locations, so check for the others. We are often in Austin, so I know the next hotel in which we will stay.

I booked the Origin suite for daughter’s 10th birthday slumber party. I loved how spacious the suite was! Robin at the front desk assisted with my booking, she went out her way to show me the suite prior to my booking and helped with any additional questions before check-in. We had brunch at the restaurant and the food was great! The girls had an exceptional time!

Upon check-in the bunk bed bedding needed to be changed. Appeared slept-in and partially unmade!

The front desk staff was amazing! They helped us sort out the parking and were all very helpful and friendly.

We are not fans of the barn doors for the bathrooms. The gym facilities were very nice. The bar had issues with supplies, but the staff was friendly and accommodating. Getting food on property was not an easy task.
