I like that it was close to several sites that we attended

I thought all the hidden fees like on the website it said the parking was free, but then we had to pay a deposit plus the amount of the parking which was 48 or $58 a night. I didn’t like that I don’t like the hidden fees, and I was just a deposit on the Car parking. We also have of course put a deposit on the room. That’s pretty much standard, but I just think it was a lot of hidden fees.

Extremely easy to drive to interstate 10. Valet parking was affordable and very convenient. Didn’t need our car until the day we left. My only complaint is check in. Check in was at 4, we arrived at 3:30. There was a full bus of tourist in line when we arrived. I stood in line, the host of the tour was gracious enough to let me go ahead of his group. Only to find out rooms weren’t ready and I was put on a waiting list. Patiently waited till 5 pm after noticing others were arriving and getting rooms right away. Waited in line, asked about our room, still wasn’t ready. I asked why others arriving after me were getting rooms? There was a discussion among staff and 2 people were put ahead of me. I was given a room right away. Otherwise the place was great. Although it needs a bar. Love having to use key card to get in hotel and to move elevator. Would stay again.

It was comfortable, roomy and quiet. They were able to provide a quiet room on the fourth floor which I had requested. There was a person near the front desk that could help with questions about the city. There was adequate response to problems that occurred when I reported them to the front desk. I am attracted to Home Suites because it gives the opportunity to prepare my own food.

1. Before I arrived in New Orleans, I sent emails with questions. I never got any answer at all. I only received offers for a better room or tours during my stay which I had not asked for nor needed. That was compensated by the adequate help provided on site. However, the communication with guests beforehand needs to be upgraded and more personalized. Not all those automatically sent offer mails. 2, For the breakfast provided, there were no alternative options for the milk butter and cheese. For example, Only butter, no margarine. Only cow’s milk, no possibility of alternative, The cook had no oil to cook with and could therefore not make eggs for me without butter. She did her best for me one morning to specially scramble eggs with minimal butter product.

Good area near main bars and tours. Friendly concierge Dave, friendly knowledgeable of the tours and places around the area to eat gamble etc..

Dirty shower, no shower gel. No shampoo.

The location was perfect for us, close to Bourbon Street and public transit. It was an extremely quiet and peaceful location (room 415). The complimentary hot breakfast was better than most hotels offer, but don’t expect something like the Ruby Slipper. Come on, it’s free. The staff is very polite and the various concierge (esp Glenn) were extremely helpful. The hotel is quite safe and secure.

The bedding was a bit strange, but not a huge deal.

Breakfast was ok, tables were ona self clearing basis which was odd for a hotel, and there were alot of clientele coming down for breakfast in their nightwear which really wasn't acceptable

Nightwear in the dining room, servicing of the rooms was by request even though in the rooms it said it was every other day this did nt happen at all neither was the bedding changed during our stay

Tour companies made it an easy pickup and drop off. Staff were helpful and pleasant Concierge were helpful

Very little difference in breakfast

The location was close to everything! The staff was friendly, professional, and helpful. We had a room with balcony and the door of the balcony would not lock, the staff immediately sent up maintenance, but door could not be fixed and we were immediately given a bigger room with balcony. The rooms were clean, spacious and provided lots of drawers and closet space. The bedding was excellent and blackout curtains and shades were top notch, no light before you wanted it. The kitchen was just right with small table and two chairs, large fridge, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, dishes, pots and utensils. Service was excellent! The breakfast each morning was well prepared and tasty. This was not just a continental breakfast; they had sausage, eggs, bacon, ham, the breads, cereals and fruit. We missed the Wednesday evening appreciation meal, but I'm sure it was good. The building was very secure for entry and exit. We would stay here again.

The furniture (couch especially) was old and somewhat worn, but clean. The bath area could use an upgrade.

Great breakfast, everything worked in the room, nice location, very helpful concierge guy (Dave, in particular), and comfortable bed.

The fitted sheet on the bed kept coming off because it didn’t seem to fit, and when we took the stairs, there was always different kinds of debris in the stairwell (a pair of socks, another pair of socks, a plunger wrapped in plastic), even after we mentioned it to the front desk staff. Not a big deal, but it made a slightly poor impression.

the front desk staff and the amenities were wonderful. They were truly so kind and helpful with every question and request we had. the location was perfect and convenient, but was also far enough away that we could easily have a quiet nights sleep.

the black out curtains weren’t really blackout curtains, they were pull down vinyl shutters that still let light in. the facilities also were not the cleanest. There were dirty dishes still left in the dishwasher and even in the cabinet. the toilet plunger still had feces on it from a previous resident and left a poop ring on the ground. we cleaned all of these issues up ourselves, but I’m sure if we had asked the front desk, they would have had it all taken care of.
