The shower in our room plugged and the water leaked into the room and closet. Our luggage and my wives shoes got all wet. We were moved to another room. Because we booked through booking dot com they said there was nothing they could do for us on our bill as it was paid through booking .com. They said they would have a manager call us but we never heard from them. We love the Grand Traverse Resort but we are a little disappointed that something wasn't done.

We had an amazing time at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa! The resort's beauty and vastness left us in awe - there's so much to explore! A hint of nostalgia hit us as we strolled through the resort, reminiscent of classic malls from the past. Our kids had an absolute blast splashing around in the pools, and the friendly staff made us feel right at home. While the gift shops were a tad pricey (as most are), they're conveniently located throughout the resort. We can't wait to come back and experience it all again! *Highly recommend!*

The hotel room was very nice, clean, and spacious. The beds were comfortable and there was ample space to put our belongings. Lots to do in this hotel, which was awesome! Not that we had kids with us, but it’s certainly kid-friendly.

The shower was by far the worst part of this trip. Shower head does not protrude from the wall, but rather from the ceiling, making it difficult to wash your body if you don’t want to get your hair wet. The water pressure was also insanely low. I didn’t feel “clean” after, as the water pressure was similar to a trickle. Also, the temperature of the water fluctuated. I was able to take one HOT shower but the rest of the showers were lukewarm at best. The bathroom was also pretty small, making it difficult to move about, open the door fully, etc.

Had a lot to do there! Very cool place. Friendly staff everywhere we went.

Could have some more kid friendly places to eat. There were tons of kids there and I felt like not a lot of places to eat with kids. The one place that seemed the most kid friendly and best pricing for a family of 5, didn’t have seating for the 5 of us. No tables big enough. The shower head is weird. Needs harder pressure when it comes out of the ceiling like that.

Concierge and doorman was very nice and helpful. The stores were nice too. Shuttle service was great. The pool we went to was nice.

We checked in late at around 10pm and the lady at the front desk was not friendly. We had no idea where anything was in the hotel. If it wasn't for the concierge we would not have found anything. Also several things were broken in our room and the bathroom wasn't very clean, I had to clean up hair from the floor. With as much as we paid it would have been nice to get a cup of coffee.

Not enough staff stores and restaurants where not staffed horrible experience at jacks tap room waited 45 minutes for ice tea dinner was comped the waiter was not trained not his fault the manager a women who had been there 30 years was at her Witt’s end. Upper management is not doing a good job of overseeing this I would not recommend anyone ever eat at either place airie was nothing special. The coffee shop was our fav but only open till 3 what is that at a resort? The arcade was only open Friday and Saturday just pitiful. I would not say resort it was like an old has been with accommodations. The room was great and the view was great. Just very sad with resort. Feel no longer there.

The staff was extremely helpful with an issue we ran into with needing to move our check-in date. They were very accommoadting, polite and porfessional.

Only on the day we left, our kids complained of their skin tingling/stinging. I think the chlorine levels in the pool might have been too high (kids had similar reactions with a neighbor's pool). They went swimming first think in the AM so the pool might have just been treated. My kids' skin is extra sensitive so it might not have affected most others but something to think about if you have sensitive skin.

Room was perfect for 2 people. Nice and clean bathroom. No bad smells. Felt like we were the first people to use that room. Staff seemingly does a great job of cleaning and making the place feel new.

If I had to pick one thing, there is a door that could be used to open one room up into two rooms. The door was not the problem, but the guests on the other side of us were speaking in a moderate volume and we could hear every word clear as day. Felt a little less private on either side.

I liked that the resort hosted the basketball tournament my son was playing in. The food at the club house was amazing! Best burger we've had in a long time.

Our air conditioner didn't work our 1st night stay but we didn't call the front desk because we arrived late & were tired. The pool hours could be better. They close at 9:00PM and the slide doesn't open until 10:00AM. We weren't allowed to bring our own drinks or food into the basketball tournament. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was okay but definitely not worth $76 before tip for the 3 of us.

Lovely facility. Clean and comfortable room. Good selection of tv channels. Fairly quiet. Great staff wherever you were on property. Price was fair. Restaurant for breakfast was good. You're 15-20 minutes off season to downtown Traverse City.

Smaller bathroom was a bit cramped. It's a big place so a bit of a walk from room to your car in the lot.
