One the beach. The room was clean. The staff all smiles, professional, but engaging. As you can see from the picture there are plenty of lounge chairs on the beach. The scrambled eggs were good, as were the very small sausages. They have bagels, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, and juice. A very good coffee machine with “mode” choices: hot chocolate, americano, espresso,etc.

The room is tiny. There is not a chair, table or dresser. The toilet is really low to the floor. I decided to shower at 9pm and there was no shower curtain. The office was closed. They provided a shower curtain the next day. There are plenty of chairs on a cemented area over the beach and a gazebo in back of the that. Allowing shade and excellent views. However, under the chairs seats were spiders galore. We killed two spiders in our room. There were no bowls for the cereal-one must poor milk into the cereal box.

The room was clean and updated. The location was in a good spot. The beach was amazing with beautiful sunrises and sunsets each evening. It was great to have a fire pit onsite as the evening weather was a bit chilly.

While the room was very clean and updated, there wasn't a dresser/closet to "unpack" for our stay so we lived out of our luggage. There was only 1 very hard student desk-type chair in the room so we had to sit on the beds which wasn't ideal. We had brought cards but couldn't play since there wasn't any type of table in the room.

The property was very clean and the beach area was nice. The staff was excellent. Very nice and helpful. Proximity to downtown and wineries was good.

The rooms are on the smaller side, no counter space in bathroom and there wasn’t a luggage rack. Although the property was directly on the water the view from the room was of the parking lot. The room was described as lake view but none of the rooms face the lake. So if your looking for a lake view room this isn’t the inn for you.

I can't say enough good things about our stay at the Brio Beach Inn. Not only was it an amazing beach side property that had chairs for its guests but also a fire pit for the evenings. The staff went above and beyond everyday. The inn keeper gave us a map and circled things she thought we would love, and pointed us in the direction of some hidden gems. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night. We are already thinking of scheduling around this time next year as well.

The location on the beach can’t be beat. A family with little kids, we mostly wanted to play in the water and it was PERFECTION. Beautiful sandy beach just steps away from our door, plenty of seating, and even a fire pit we could use if we wanted. The beach is calm and shallow as well so I didn’t have to worry about my kids in the water.

The rooms are small, and the shower got water EVERYWHERE, despite using the shower curtain to the best of our ability. But neither was enough to deter us from staying again!

In house breakfast excellent idea, boo to the attempted food critics for the New York Times to whine about the "lack of selection" which in my opinion is totally false. Staff was great, beach raked every morning, rooms clean, beds comfy, excellent location to escape the hub bub of downtown. All in all a great option for those seeking a quaint property in a great location.

fencing and walkways on the area near the beach could use a refresh

Brio is right on the bay and was less than many other hotels. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was described as grab and go sandwiches, but there was a nice breakfast with sausage and eggs and tables to sit at.

Unpredictability of September weather in Michigan! Cloudy, cool and rainy but hotel staff shared a positive forecast and the day turned out great. Traffic is pretty heavy outside the hotel, but that's another Michigan problem, not Brio problem!

Staff very friendly. Clean, updated facility, comfortable room. Right on the beach. Great view of bay. Good, fresh enjoyable breakfast. Good location to TC, 10 minutes.

Room did not have dresser with drawers, was not a problem, just was not prepared and used cubby shelves and suitcase. Road noise bad at times, on main road into TC., especially early morning.

For the price, the team behind Brio Beach Inn is doing magic. All three employees we met were super kind and helpful. The beds were very comfy, and there is private direct lake access. Breakfast was complimentary and yummy!

The bathroom felt tired but fully functional still. Breakfast area was tight, but there is simply no more space in the building.

It was right on its own private beach plus a short walk to the public beach. The room was very clean, and the staff was nice, providing a good breakfast for such a small place. Small refrigerator was provided too

The bathroom was quite small. If you prefer fancy resorts, this place probably wouldn’t appeal to you. It was fine for two nights.
