The property was on the beach and Brio Beach’s section was well kept. The staff raked the beach and cleaned the tables daily. There was a continental breakfast daily which included items such as bagels, breakfast sandwiches, cereal and fruit. The manager Patricia was exceptional. She made sure our stay was comfortable and exceeded our expectations at every level.

The bathroom definitely needs updating.

It was better than expected as they had Jimmy Dean egg and sausage muffins that you could heat up and they were delish. There was room for about 3 tables in the breakfast room or you could go sit at the gazebo near the beach. We couldn't as it had just rained. The beach and chairs are gorgeous there. Patricia checked us in and was a pleasure to meet. We had everything we needed. Parking is easy, there is no elevator if needed.

Staff was exceptional. They were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We enjoyed having a fire in the firepit on the beach. We also enjoyed being right on the water. The bed was comfortable. We had a one queen-bed room, and it was perfect for two people, and the room had all the amenities we needed.

It was a little dated, but the price was very reasonable, and the room was clean, so no complaint from us.

The location, the price and the cleanliness were excellent.

We were originally given a room very close to the road with loud road noise, and originally the staff at the desk said this could not be changed. As we walked around we saw that many rooms were vacant, so we went back to the desk and finally got a room away from the road, with a better view. This should have been given to us upon first request, rather than making us come back and ask again.

A little slice of heaven! Location was ideal to spend time in Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore & all the other towns along the way while driving the Lake Michigan coastline. I flagged a few properties of interest before leaving home but didn’t book until I got into town & the minute I pulled in the parking lot I knew I wasn’t going to want to leave! I got the warmest of greetings from all the innkeepers I met throughout my 4 night stay. Essentially, the staff & property share the same warm “Pure Michigan” personalities! While there, I enjoyed in room coffee & a nice variety of choices offered in the complimentary continental breakfast & snacks to take for the day of sightseeing. After my full days on the beaches & exploring, I’d go down to the impeccably maintained beachfront to a chaise to watch the sunset with my cocktail. Bathroom, shower pressure, microwave, refrigerator & bedding were very nice, especially the bedding, I slept like a little lamb! I also REALLY appreciated the plug expanders for all my tech. I usually travel with a power strip & did not need it. There was a combination digital clock right on the nightstand & charging station plus a 6 port, circular charging unit available. One of my side trips was a 4 hr drive from Traverse to A MUST SEE Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in the Upper Peninsula and I figured I’d stay over night up there but I LOVED Brio Beach Inn so much that I just got up extra early with a drive into the sunrise, explored the park, then drove all the way back just so I didn’t miss out on one more night at Brio. On my next visit to the area, I wont even look at other properties. No question, I will be back to Brio Beach Inn as soon as possible!

I had to leave

This place is a well kept secret. It is right on the water and very close to downtown Traverse City. The best thing about this place was the care and kindness of the management! Patricia was one of the most amazing, caring people I have ever met. Her staff was also amazing. We are so grateful for all the care and work that they did above and beyond to make our stay wonderful!!

Tell the state the "intense smoke" from the their State Camp Ground across the street has got to be stopped some way some how. They should be fined. You have a great place there. We stayed Saturday and Sunday. A block away air was fine. And no the smoke wasn't coming from Canada. The State of Michigan by way of that camp ground is screwing you over. Seriously, anyone else doing that would be fined and shut down. Get it outta there. Good luck!!! Make some noise...

Very close to the beach! Clean! Staff was tremendous! Grab n go breakfast was really good! Units are small but who spends their time in their room when you are so close to the beach? Restaurants are nearby and fantastic. This is TC afterall! My kids loved it here! Will go again!

Everything was great. No real complaints!

The view was beautiful! Private beach. Liked the availability to have a fire by the beach. Clean room. Friendly staff. Quiet for a hotel. Bed was comfy. Pillows were nice. Most hotel pillows are hard and awful. Would recommend!

The air conditioner was so noisy. That is not comforting when you are trying to sleep.

Cleanliness! And location by the beach! Felt very safe as a solo traveler!

I loved everything and would def book again. The only small downside was the street level noise from the cars. I’m a sensitive sleeper so more aware of these things, but if you have good earplugs, you’ll be fine!
