Location was perfect. Room size and pool location were also perfect. The hot tub temp was great. The last few I have stayed in, the hot tub was scaulding! We will definitely be staying next yr. The breakfast wasn't terrible.

There was never anyone at the front desk. The young woman that checked us in was super friendly and personalable, but that was the last of that. When I did see someone at the desk, they didn't greet anyone when they walked in and I thought it was kind of rude. The desk is super close to the front door, the least they could say is "good morning" or even a hi!

We had a King suite with kitchenette on 3rd floor, overlooking the beach. Very quiet, felt like we had the floor to.ourselves first 3 days. Got there Sept 29th to find 83° and warm enough to still go in the lake. It dropped to 78° next day, but still beach weather in fall. Our first morning, we opened the drapes to see an eagle on the beach, breakfasting on his fish. The pool and hot tub were great temperatures, and rarely busy. Very pretty area. Having the lounge/restaurant right in the building is a big plus when you get tired and don't feel like going back out for dinner. Parking was no problem, as a weekday stay in fall is easy, cheaper, and the place wasn't busy.

Our room had a kitchenette with stove, full fridge, dishes & pans, which was great, but no dish towels or dish rag, and no plug for the sink. The living room furniture is adequate, but not super comfy. The squared off arms on the couch & chair are rather uncomfortable. This room used to have a small dining table with 2 chairs for eating in your room, but has been replaced with a desk type table with one desk chair. Not convenient for a couple to dine together.

The hotel is on the water. we had a side view of the beach area from the balcony which was nice The bathroom shower is big and the bathroom was very clean. the linens were nice and clean. lots of desk space, mini fridge and microwave which would be nice for a longer stay. We only stayed one night. Hot tea was always available. We had fun dancing in the tavern. our stay was from 8pm-5am. There is an indoor pool and a large spa, we didn't get to try out. We would stay here again.

The carpet in the room is the typical hotel carpet. It is nice to have carpet when it's cold. That type of carpet just seems to feel dirty. We left too early to enjoy the complimentary coffee or breakfast, service starts at 8am. we had a 5am departure.

This is a wonderful resort....we are already talking about our next trip. All of the staff were friendly and very good at their jobs. This includes the bartender, waiters and front desk, housekeeping and the gal who was taking care of the indoor pool. I wish I knew their names so I could give them a proper shout out. We had dinner in the restaurant twice and the breakfast buffet both mornings...both very good. The food was excellent (I had the rib eye, my husband had the Reuben sandwich and our grandson had the pizza...all reasonably priced. The bar has a great happy hour and it's nice you can take your drink out to the beach where there were plenty of beach chairs. Our room was large, comfortable, well maintained and nicely decorated. We had a Court View, but next year I would love to have a full Lake View.

Not one thing.

We always come here every time we go to Traverse city, we have gotten a double queen, a king, and a king suite with the hot tub which was amazing. We love this place we love the food at the restaurant, my only one drawback was I always get lobster tail and we went recently I got it again it was beautiful when it came out it was big when it came out but unfortunately it wasn't cooked all the way through. But they took care of that and took it off our bill!

I did not have breakfast as I had an early morning flight. I loved the bath room with a walk in shower. Spacious, well lit and inviting! The Parkshore is an older hotel, and the owners have done an excellent job of renovating the property.

I reserved a room with 2 queen beds and a good view of West Grand Traverse Bay. To see the bay I had to really crane my neck and practically walk up to the window to see the bay! That was a big disappointment. My main view was of the roofline of an adjacent motel.

Staff was friendly, location was great. Beautiful bay views. Nice older pool and hot tub. Pool area was warm, cozy and had tables to sit at and relax. Room was clean and comfortable. Our bed and linens were nice and we slept great. We also really liked the restaurant and appetizer deals they had. The breakfast was more than we expected (better than a bag breakfast) and the coffee was pretty good.

Only negative I can think of is the front non waterfront view rooms-the parking lot lights are very bright at night and even with curtain closed it seemed like daytime. Probably wouldn’t bother everyone but worth noting as we had to switch rooms. Staff was so helpful about it. Thank you.

My friends and I arrived three hours early to our reservation and the lady working the front desk was so kind and accommodating. The room was clean and spacious, and the walk-in shower was a great bonus!

The continental breakfast could use some improvements, but we were all thankful that there was food at all. All of the coffee carafes had lukewarm coffee and the biscuits were extremely dry and hard to eat. I suggest ordering some new coffee carafes with a better seal and maybe individually wrapping the biscuits in foil so the chafing dish doesn't make them hard. Overall, it was a great stay!

Beautiful view of the bay. Very calming. Showers had more than sufficient hot water, which must have been part of the upgrade. Very clean room. Staff was very helpful. Updated rooms were attractice, clean and except for screaming kids running up and down hallway, very quiet. Family oriented inn, noisy kids unattentive parents, not inns fault.

Tricky desk lamp. Only worked when main switch was on. Made it difficult to work at night while spouse was sleeping. Resolved issue by changing outlet. Difficult to come up with any thing bad.
