The staff is world class and that is what makes this property stand out. As Marriotts go, this isn't an exceptional property. Its basic and clean, but the location in proximity to Mayo Clinic, along with its connections via pedestrian tunnels means its the go-to property. That makes the surge pricing a little eye watering during conventions or busy times of year. However, if you lay the price against renting and parking a car, it comes out about even to just stay within walking distance.

Room pricing swings dramatically. The rooms facing in toward the indoor pool only get diffused natural light, so if you want sun, make sure you request an outside room. The on sight restaurant Salute has a nice wine selection but a somewhat limited menu. However, there are lots of restaurants within walking distance.

It was close to the Mayo Clinic and had a subway area to walk over.

The property was nice! However I asked for and accommodated room and the bathroom was tiny and not really big enough for my husband who uses a walker. He had to half fold his walker to even get into it! Not to mention the commode was super short for people with disabilities! Some of the staff was friendly other were very rude and condescending! Felt like we didn’t fit into the idea of people that stay there and they just treated us like we didn’t belong!

The proximity to Mayo Clinic is ideal of this is the purpose of your stay. You can access all the Mayo facilities without stepping outside. You can also access some shopping and restaurants as well via the pedestrian subway. The restaurant Salute! is good, but the staff here is outstanding. My server Linda was an absolute joy. She made what is a very stressful trip, so much more pleasant. She alone is worth the stay here. Thank you Linda for your kindness and compassion.

"Concierge" floor room (floor 8) overlooked the interior atrium which wasn't the greatest. Also, room was a bit stuffy even with the air turned all the way up the room never really cooled down enough for me.

My son and I were very happy with the property. The staff very friendly from housekeeping, front desk and needless to say, DAVID the server in the breakfast area was exceptional, that’s what a excellent customer service is! Thank you David.

The place was fine, but booking.com sucks, you guys are cheats. I’ve used you guys several times but this will be the last. Keep this type of practice up and you’ll be out of business quickly, as you should be.

We had a doctor's appointment early the next morning so we chose this location due to the proximity to the hospital. And we LOVED it! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! We booked through Booking.com and check in was fast and easy. Our Valet attendants were super kind and very helpful! Our kiddos really enjoyed the view from our room (faced front of building) and they loved watching all of the people walking on the street below.

Bed could be more comfortable.

Outstanding customer service and accommodations for customers with specific medical needs….Wheelchairs and portable O2 at no cost. This took suck a load off us. Rooms were spacious and clean….

Makeup mirror and better lighting would be nice. Also, would like a light layer option for bedding. Comforter was too warm but sheet wasn't enough by itself.

Thought the hotel would have it's own parking. Had to use Valet which was ok, but more expensive.

Breakfast was fabulous with excellent service. The dinner was superb with an excellent wine list and wonderful atmosphere. The hotel's connection to the Mayo Clinic was extremely convenient for our clinical appointments.

The service was excellent all the way around - keep up the good work.
