Everything about the place was all very nice . Walking distance to Mayo Clinic to business. The downside was trying to figure out how to get to it . Had to go through Mayo Clinic or a quick turn on the other side to reach this motel . ( If I knew all the parking issues , I would have gone eleswhere. ) As well trying to park under the garage is tight turns prior . And leaving the parking the garage . Well, you had to go back way too started . If you had a big vechile, it would not have been nice . So all that is crazy for a 2 year old place . Otherwise, there are no complaints with everything else.

Good location for Mayo Clinic and Convention Center (I was at a conference at the CC). Free parking in secure garage is nice. Room was large with kitchen facilitites and most of what you would need to cook--including dishwasher and garbage diposal. Didn't use the cooking kits you can borrow, but seems a nice touch. Spacious bathroom with pleasantly-scented toiletries bolted to the wall of shower (that is not a complaint, just info). Grab bars in shower (all hotels should do this!) and relatively low tub to step into. Big enough for easy use of walker & maybe wheelchair. I am no longer mobility impaired, but I notice & appreciate those things. Hotel was quiet, too, I could only hear some up above footfalls, not water running, toilets flushing, talking neighbors or TV, or the elevator. This is a good thing! Comfortable beds that are high, but not too high. The recliner in the room was a nice surprise. Usual breakfast offerings. Spyhouse Coffee is a good touch as it offers morning/daytime beverages & then evening beverages. This & the evening music, while not to my taste, makes it seem less like a deserted hotel lobby, more like a lively event. One evening a group was gathered around a fire pit, which also adds life to the experience. Overall, a good place to stay for many reasons.

Desk staff disappeared for 15 minutes or so one evening, leaving 3 strangers standing around looking at one another. No ice bucket in room--told to use one of the cooking pots, which seems odd in such a property. Staff didn't mention that room refresh only happens every other day. No luggage rack in room, but lots of drawers, etc. FYI: Be aware that parking/exit is very tight! To exit, turn left and go through adjacent parking lot for easier turns. Had to wait for a garbage truck to move out of the way to exit one morning, which isn't bad unless you are trying to be on time for your Mayo appointment or conference start.

Everything was wonderful, as usual. This is our preferred hotel when we have annual Mayo appointments. The king suite we booked had a fridge/freezer that wasn't working, but hotel staff moved us to an equally nice room that same night at the same rate. Geoffrey was very apologetic, and made sure we were satisfied.

The coffee in the room was very poor quality, and no complimentary coffee was offered in the lobby since there is a new coffee shop attached to the hotel. The coffee at breakfast was great - just wish it was a complimentary offer to guests at any time of day.

Very modern, rooms were comfortable, staff were nice, surprisingly there was a kitchenette, tv was personalized with my name on the screen, and loved the underground parking during a snowstorm. Great breakfast!

When arriving, parking was confusing with a large “P” sign yet no way of knowing how to access. The hotel shuttle bus blocked the entrance for cars to check-in so the some people checking in had to park in front of the garage entrance and a line of caravan had to wait to enter the underground parking.

Perfect location for medical appointments at The Mayo Clinic; an easy 5 minute walk. Good central location to explore area. Good breakfast and nice kitchen facilities. Bed was comfortable. Great coffee shop near lobby.

Breakfast could have been much better. Not a lot to chose from. Very little gluten-free and dairy free options.

The room was very clean, spacious, with comfortable beds. The daily breakfast was most appreciated and was very good. The facility is a close walking distance to the Mayo Clinic. The staff is excellent.

The only downside for us was perhaps the parking garage. While it is nice to have our car out of the elements, the parking spaces are a little tight.

Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The underground parking was great. Breakfast was very fresh, hot and large selection of foods to choose from. I highly recommend TownePlace Suites

There wasn't anything not to like

I had a special request and whoever fulfilled it went absolutely above and beyond. Every staff member I encountered was exceptional. The underground parking is a definite perk and worth the upgrade.

There were a few things that could have been a bit cleaner, but overall it was tidy. I wasn't a huge fan of the shower being open the way it was. I froze each morning. We did have an issue with the people in the room above us who were obviously pogo stick enthusiasts or people that let their kids jump from one end of the room to the other all night. But that is hardly the hotel's fault.

Breakfast was okay for a Rochester Minnesota hotel. Security system for elevators (must use key card) was VERY reassuring. STAFF was pleasant from the desk folks to the cleaning and breakfast prep people.

TV was incredibly complicated. It took real work just to watch the local TV news or to watch JEOPARDY on a regular channel. I could not figure out how to use the kitchenette microwave, and I have had microwaves for many years.
