Loved the location, very peaceful @ night. Staff very friendly, & I felt safe & very much in nature. Loved the fire pit & location of my cabin. I would imagine it’s much busier on the weekend so I got lucky it wasn’t super busy from Tuesday night to Thursday morning. I took a lot of night walks with my dogs. Loved that the cabin was pet friendly.

Lots of litter around the lakes, on trails & the cabin was dirty. So much fishing line, fishing tackle & trash around lake in front of my cabin #17. Just needs a good cleaning. Did not feel the cabin was well cleaned & the couch was very old & dirty. I brought extra linens & covered the couch. I cleaned 25 cigarette butts out of my fire pit & trash around the cabin. I get that it’s pet & family friendly but it just needs a good cleaning. BUT…. that won’t stop me from renting that cabin again. Just buy a new couch as it’s also a bed.

Lots of activities for the kids and the staff was amazing! I was surprised even lots of activities during the week too! Lots of fish in the ponds and facilities had everything we needed. Such a large selection in the store as well and not overly priced either. We also enjoyed the golf cart rental as it made getting around in the heat more barable. Can’t say enough nice things about basswood.

Our cabin needed a new mattress. It was very old and I woke up with a backache. A few maintenance items needed in our cabin

Our family loved all the activities available! Even though it was the off season, there were plenty of games to use to make for a fun family time. Parts for games were left out and available all the time, and there were a lot of options. I hope they are able to continue this, but I know it is difficult when there are some people who misuse and break the equipment.

It still worked out fine for our family, but was a bit of a surprise that the sleeping arrangements were not as described in the room options. Description stated queen bed and futon, and there was actually a full size bunk bed.

Beautiful, quite,peaceful

No breakfast, kinda felt unwanted. Mostly cacausains was only black American when first entered building the whole staff including the owner came to stare and whisper then nightly the same Grey truck would drive by and random people walking only by my unit I guess making sure I didn't steal anything.

I appreciated the full size fridge, the toaster, the coffee maker and kitchenware. It was relatively clean and beds were comfortable. There were many lakes to fish in and no mosquitoes! The country store was well stocked with all kinds of necessaries and fun items.

It is close to the airport and planes fly low over the park about every 30 minutes from roughly 6am to 11pm. Kids enjoyed watching them.

Staff are friendly. Bungalows are perfect cabins for a family getaway. The full kitchen is wonderful. They're comfortable and spacious. The pool and play area are well maintained. The lakes are beautiful and fun to fish! Golf cart rental is a fun bonus!

We had cockroaches in our first bungalow. This was disappointing. The bedding we paid for was old, stained and had a cigarette burn.

This Place is Great! The staff is friendly and helpful. The beds are comfortable, quiet, and remote. It's a perfect getaway to relax.

I was staying there for work and it is a little far from where I was working; however, that is one of the things that make it quiet and comfortable so it was an acceptable trede=off for me.

Great experience from check-in to check-out.Very helpful and friendly staff.Cabin was clean and had necessities from garbage bags,dishes,toaster.We really loved the screen in porch with table and chairs.Fishing was great for family caught lots of fish within just a few minutes.Definitely recommend the Pizza Shack pizza delivered to cabin.The chicken alfredo was our favorite

The staff were extremely friendly we got there litterally 2 minutes before they closed and they still took the time to walk us through everything since it was our first visit. I love that they have little activities all weekend even though we didn't get to do them this time we deffinitly will stay here again.

We love staying here! Quiet, secluded and peaceful. Room is always clean enough for us to be comfortable. I like that we can get food or drinks upstairs if we don't want to drive all the way into town. The patio with the propane fireplace for each suite is so nice! Gives you more ways to enjoy the outdoors too and not be stuck in your room if you don't want to be. There is a nice view of the pond and trees from the patio. Staff has always been courteous and helpful.

Needs some repairs done inside and out. Starting to get a little outdated. A little bit of a drive off the highway.
