This was our 3rd annual trip from Reno/Carson City to the Topaz area just for a brief getaway. We love the area and enjoy a very quiet and comfortable stay at Topaz Lodge. We also love that I can bring my dog! Both dinner and the following morning's breakfast were excellent, and we both very much appreciate the in-room coffee maker and pods.

One suggestion: Our room was #38, and although there was a lamp on the table between the 2 beds, there was not enough light to read by. I had to remove the lampshade, which only improved things slightly on my side. Two small overhead lights above each bed would solve the problem. The single framed picture above one bed could then be hung on the far wall, which would be a much better arrangement.

Handy location, with everything you need in one place - Quirky. Casino, Friendly staff, Bar, cafe, restaurant, Gas station and great views over the lake. Pet friendly but we stayed in the non pet rooms (101 to 105 have a beautiful morning sunrise over the lake filling the room with sunlight) Great cafe food includes a vegan burger and a few other vegan options.

The smell/ air in the casino smells like it has had too many doses of air freshener and needs to be opened up on a windy day for a good airing.

Location was absolutely wonderful with the lake in the foreground and mountains to our back. The café food was outstanding. The slot play was ok in that I got to play for an hour on my allocation vs 10mins in other casinos.

Our room AC didn't work and room was barely tolerable to sleep in until around midnight when it cooled off. Had the widow all night which helped

Super convenient to stay driving the long drive from LA on the 14/395 as last stop before Tahoe - Tesla charger, takes dogs, food & supply store, restaurant, grassy area with picnic tables and nice view of the lake - super nice and helpful checkin ladies and manager 😊👍and a great deal as Tahoe hotels much more expensive.

Every single staff person that I interacted with at the lodge was so nice and helpful. From check in staff to house keeping, the manager and all staff in the bar and restaurant. Everyone was great! We really enjoyed our stay.

It’s not the most up to date place but it was definitely clean and comfortable.

The service was good and the breakfast too. The free drink and discount breakfast voucher was a nice surprise. Our room was away from the main building and casino, a bonus! Great views of the lake.

It's 20 miles outside of the town of Gardnerville, something they don't advertise, so we were unprepared for that. The room was comfy and large, but really dated, noisey air con as well.

The lodge had a very good location. You could see the lake from your window, and walk to it. The breakfast was very good. The small casino was a throwback to old Vegas, actually nice. Friendly staff

The sprinklers went off in the morning so the kids couldn't play in the playground

When I arrived I ask one lady that work there and it didn’t even look at me I just need information but luckily another lady that just arrived to work give me the information where to head for the registration

The staff was great and the views of the lake were very nice. The casino is small but we had a good time.

The in room coffee pot was gross, we couldn't use it and the Steak house restaurant was a little over priced. Pretty sure the bison ribs were actually beef ribs but the staff was awesome.
