We were driving from South Lake Tahoe at night, the snow season up and down the mountain is very steep, the drive is about an hour, after dark, driving to be safe. The hotel's soaking pool gave us a lot of enjoyment and I slept very comfortably. The baked potatoes for dinner, which the whole family loved, were beyond expectations. No experience casino, parking lot is huge. the next morning I saw a rainbow. Lucky trip. The staff was very friendly, greeted us when they saw us and offered to help us.

It seems like a wonderful vacation that can only be reached by car

Very courteous at the desk, however when I called the first time weeks ahead to make requests for a room change to a first level floor and ask for a microwave I was told no. Then I called two days before and had reached a very helpful courteous person to assist me. My request was to have a first floor room so I would not disturb other guest when I got up early. I was awake between 12-3 and left at 3 in the morning. The checkin was very pleasant, but the smell Of cigarette smoke was throughout the property.

The room was nice and the beds were comfortable. The location is perfect for meeting up with our family for events in the area and the indoor pool, as always, is a great feature in the middle of winter! =)

The floors (vinyl planks?) are a little old in our motor lodge room (#4111)--not flat anymore and uncomfortable to walk on when barefoot. The price on Booking.com was also $10 more than going straight through the hotel; I thought we were getting a bargain rate by reserving through Booking.com but I'll know better next time.

Because they gave away our rooms they switched us to the main hotel and gave us very nice rooms.

I had ordered 2 king size rooms. The night desk claimed I had ordered 2 queens. When I told him no pretty sure its supposed to be 2 king size. He acted as if I was lying and gave me a very cold shoulder. I have the confirmation as proof.

This is a clean and comfortable, basic motel. The motor lodge is across the parking lot from the inn and restaurant, a five-minute walk. Everything works, the room is clean and bright, a little pricey but good, reliable quality and comfort. They now have new key fobs in place of the key cards that were not working. The restaurant is reasonable for breakfast.

Check in at the Inn is a little awkward, but it works.

Convenient location. Basic accommodations. No frills.

Could hear the conversation going on in the room next to us in the middle of the night. Smoking right outside the door. No soap in the shower. Too small television for the room size. We did not utilize the casino or other amenities.

Big suite room with nice kitchen, a nice indoor pool and great value for money restaurant.

The bathroom was not clean and we missed bath towels and it took 24h to get it fixed but we got a 50$ coupons at their restaurant to compensateur the disagreement.

They gave me the perfect ADA compliant room that I needed, and it was very comfortable.

This was not Carson Vly Lodge's fault -- this is Booking.com's fault: Booking.com did not tell us we had to check in at a separate location, down the road a few blocks. Booking only gave us the address of the Lodge, but we had to check in elsewhere and we were not told where to do that... that is a mistake by Booking, not by Carson Vly Lodge.

first time staying here (we usually stay at the Carson Valley Inn/Casino) did not want to stay at casino, (they also have an RV park) and glad we did not (casino hotel very nice), but this was nice and quiet and it was what we needed after a 550 mile drive. Perfect. would stay here again.

nothing really bad - remote batteries died and the phone in room had some issues but they are on top of everything you need. we had a ADA room and it was perfect

We needed a wheelchair-accessible room. The Front Desk Clerk gave us an ADA room in the main Carson Valley Inn. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A small night light in the bathroom would be a great addition to the room, especially for a disabled person.
