The grounds are very pretty, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the area is safe. The waterways and wildlife viewing on the east side is an added bonus.

The adjoining room doors need to be better insulated and people need to be courteous towards their neighbors when talking and watching TV. Our neighbors had the TV up loud and talked very loud to each other, and when they were on the phone. This happened both late at night and early in the morning, so it made our stay a little less pleasant. Insulated doors would help because that was where most of the sound was leaking into our room.

We liked everything very much, the nature is incredible - especially in the fall, when we were here. The staff is friendly and helpful, excellent service, the rooms are clean, cozy, it has everything you need for living. Clean pools and comfortable water temperature, there is a dry and wet sauna, showers. My family had a very good rest for the weekend. I want to come again and stay here longer. A great location nestled in the valley with beautiful mountain scenery yet close enough to the surrounding towns. Rooms are very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. The 1862 restaurant was Great ate there a few times and Chris our waiter was just fantastic we had him the first night and we requested him every other night. He was so very friendly, made us feel right at home and did a fantastic job you couldn’t ask for anymore . Come to find out the first night He’s a native New Jersey boy just like me. Even though I am older than him, we grew up in towns, not too far away from each other so we were able to talk about the different places that we knew including the Jersey shore. It was a lot of fun reminiscing. What a small world.

I love the stay at this resort so much! The restaurant that is located so close to the Hot Springs pool is great. I would emphasize the personnel; especially, Amber, she served our lunch with her whole heart, so inviting. Karen at the pool Market Place is amazing, her heart is so welcoming and big! The guy (I did not ask his name) who is controlling the temperature of the pool water is just great and sincerely caring! These people make this place so unique and exceptional, remembered. My both sons' families visited this place their first time, and they fell in love! Thank you ! We want to come back !

We did NOT like that when we came for the dinner, and we did not make a reservation cause we just arrived and our group of 6 adults and 3 kids was very hungry and tired, the person at the Reception of the Restaurant was not welcoming at all. We asked if we may have a seat outside, perhaps, but she was not willing to do anything other than repeating, "You do not have reservation... You do not have reservation..." We ordered the meal via phone, and an hour later came to pick it up to the Restaurant and the Saloon was having free tables that could have been offered for us. Also the Restaurant is closed on Monday. That is uncomfortable.

the ducks bothered me and screamed all night I’m usually sleeping with open window. Second night was better. I closed the window and almost no sound No coffee in the Monday morning at the reception. The restaurant not working on Monday. Have coffee in the room but it’s a self make Saunas is not working properly (it’s working but it’s not hot as it should be

Perfect room we need

No early check in, and I was told I will be texted with my room number at 4 pm but I didn’t receive any texts so I had to go back to the front desk to ask for my room number. FYI I already have the key with me given to me in advance when I arrived earlier than the allowed check in time.

The location and views are impressive! The room was very clean, great size, super comfortable bed and beautiful balcony! The hot springs were busy in the evening but so nice and a great way to spend your time there. During the morning hours they were much more enjoyable. The pool was also amazing.

Lovely little resort tucked away in the Sierra foothills. Beautiful views of the Carson Valley. Delightful restaurant and, of course, the signature hot springs are fabulous. Loved our weekend stay here.

Darned if I can think of anything to improve. One note: our room was HUGE! Consider getting upper floor rooms ... like we did ... because the views are stunning.

The location isnoit of nowhere- which made it great! The scenice view is magnificent, the facilities are awesome and the place is squeky clean. We especially appreciate a waitress name Amber at the in-house restaurant. She is super friendly and is very attentive
