Our third stay at Heavenly Valley Lodge was fantastic, and it certainly won't be our last. The rooms are always incredibly clean and spacious, and the outside seating area is a very welcoming touch. We had the pleasure of meeting Rosy upon arrival, and she was so kind and helpful. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

Nice quiet area, beautiful clean rooms. Loved the wooden walls!

My only complaint is the no AC. We luckily had no issues as it was a cold night and I knew ahead so brought a little fan, but the thought of having a room with no AC on a hot night doesn’t sound appealing and so if I ever came here later in the summer it is something that might deter me from staying there again. With cool/cold weather it will be my first choice!

A spotlessly clean property which was well equipped. Situated in the perfect location for accessing the Heavenly ski area, approx a mile (4 min drive) below the main California carpark lot.

Nothing - it was perfect for our needs!

The rooms were cozy. Had everything we needed. The location was close to downtown but away from traffic noise.

More of an idea. Maybe some vending machines, ice, and snacks. Locate them in the office and open certain hours for visitors to purchase.

Easy location. Quiet. Nice little rooms with coffee maker, toaster, microwave. Easy self check in/out.

A/C would have been nice. Hot summer, room didn’t cool down much. Looks like one or two units may have it, but ours did not.

Clean and quiet spot to chill out after a day on the lake. We arrived late so it was nice to be able to check into our room right away with the door combination.

The tv couldn’t connect to the wifi and there was a buzzing noise coming from the fridge so we had to unplug it to get a quiet nights sleep.

Hot water...comfortable bed...really cute room... love the fireplace and River Rocks... no check in because you already know your code... we saw our first California black bear walk through the parking lot... after coming to Tahoe a Bazilian times we finally saw one

The shower has a fixed shower head so you have to stand right up to the wall just to rinse

The location was ideal and close by to shopping, restaurants, parks, and the lake- close enough to walk to pretty much anything you could need. Very easy to find, the layout was simple and convenient. There was a large and well maintained grassy area for our service dog to play and utilize that was green, watered, and clean with beautiful trees and well lit at night with a fence separating it from the busy street. The lodge was very quiet and we never saw another guest but also rarely saw staff, only once during our stay and so it was difficult to ask for anything. However, we didn't need much during our stay, everything was already provided pretty much- towels, extra blanket, coffee and creamer and sugar, kitchenware, wifi and password, and more. The king sized bed in our room was by far one of the comfiest beds we've had in all of our travels and very large, the TV had any streaming service app you could want and already logged in to accounts to utilize. The Lodge also has pet friendly rooms and never bothered either of us about my wife's service dog which is rare. Definitely an amazing place with great amenities and value. 12/10 would stay again.

Only a few dislikes were how rare it was to find staff anywhere doing anything so if you did require anything it wasn't very easy or quick to get. The room did get very warm very quickly even with the fans going. And although it was very convenient that the rooms have keyless entries and check in at a front desk isn't necessary we disliked the fact that the passcode was what it was and so easy to guess and that to there was no dead bolt, only a little chain so it just didn't feel very secure. Oh and no curtains only blinds so a lot by of light was able to come in day and night. Miniscule issues with mostly simple fixes and the pros definitely outweighed the cons.

Warm. The gas fireplace and thermostat works well. Spacious enough. Kitchenette useful. Nicely styled interior (chalet like).

Far enough from town you'll probably need to drive/taxi to restaurants, supermarkets & bars etc.

The room was a lot smaller and compact than the pictures on the website suggest. The bed wasn't very comfortable. Due to limited sitting facilities in the room, previous occupants have evidently sat on the edge of the bed causing the mattress to collapse, meaning when you lay on the bed, the mattress collapse rolled you off the side.
