While half of the rooms were under construction- it was clean and safe and mostly quiet and empty. The rooms are a little ways off of the main road that allowed peace and quiet. The rooms had heating and cooling and openable windows and parking right outside of the room. The check in was next door which you had to use a red phone to coordinate the key exchanges but stretching your legs should be encouraged being usually far away in the mountains.

No notice that the hotel was under construction and it smelled like strong paint when the workers were working during the daytime.

near Lake Tahoe, clean and affordable

There were a lot of bad reviews overall but we really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and quite big and the bed was very confy. The only bad thing would be the bathroom because of the shower (water dripping on the floor) but that wasn’t a bid deal. The room was really warm and cozy at night and we enjoyed out stay (we even booked 2 more nights directly to the hotel after our stay ended). Definitely recommend for a cheap stay in South Lake Tahoe.

Nothing that I want to mention.

A young family runs both Pinewood Inn and the Hacienda Inn next door. If you want the swimming pool, in-room spa bath, or family suite with kitchenette, the Hacienda has those. Most rooms at Pinewood Inn are currently being renovated. My room seemed to have all new furniture and was very clean and quiet. It had a mini refrigerator and microwave. I especially liked the table and chair which gave me space to finish a project. The bedside lamp was very nice too, easy to reach from the bed with two light settings. Everything worked in the bathroom.

I liked it very much.

The room was large, comfortable and clean. The bedding was excellent - clean and new. A very good choice for a 2/3 star hotel. Check-in was quick and friendly.

The Booking.com might want to direct future guests to check-in at the hotel next door (which manages both properties). This would save a few minutes of confusion as it is necesary to read the signs to learn to walk to the adjacent hotel.

I was given an upstairs room at the back of the property away from the busy highway. It was quiet and comfortable.

Water temperature in shower could have been hotter.

Good price, clean, fridge and microwave in room, convenient location, accommodating staff. I had two separate reservations and they kindly changed my room type so I wouldn't need to check out in between.

Lots of traffic noise, but that's true of every motel along Lake Tahoe Blvd

The room was big, bed was huge, all very comfortable. I didn't hear any neighbors, except for people walking outside. I'm not sure if anyone was in the rooms next to us, but yeah it was quiet.

The cable was not coming in well, though maybe that was due to the storm? The remote did nothing. The place could have had something of a breakfast (we paid less for places with breakfast nearby).

Quiet room as requested. Didn't mind that there was not much view, because instead there was no noise from traffic audible whatsoever!

Maybe somebody being available in the office at this location, not just next door.

they are redoing all the rooms and our room was done. The small icebox was the best
