This definitely matched the description listed and I found it to be a great deal. I was a little nervous about using the alleyway where this space is located, but it’s actually a fairly quiet and safe walk from the street to the house. The only problem I found was with other guests walking up and down the stairs late at night. Because the room I was staying in is located directly at the top of the stairs, other guests carrying luggage/talking did wake me from my sleep, so if you’re easily disturbed while sleeping or find it hard to go back to sleep after waking, perhaps be aware of this! Otherwise, this is an affordable option which is clean/offers multiple amenities/is within walking distance to transportation and the host is very responsive (and responds quickly) and informative.

I had a great stay in this room in New York! The location is amazing — just a short walk to a subway station that takes you directly to Penn Station, Times Square, and other major spots in about 25 minutes. There are plenty of restaurants, food options, and souvenir shops nearby, which is super convenient. The room was very clean, including the bathroom and common areas. Everything you need is provided, making the stay really comfortable. Some reviews mention the $30 deposit, and I understand the concern. In my case, it was refunded without any issue. You just need to make sure to agree on the payment method beforehand, especially if you’re a foreign guest, as some options might not work. The room is small, but it’s perfect for a solo traveler. Keep in mind that there’s not much privacy because you can hear things inside the apartment — so it might not be ideal for multiple people, but for one person, it’s totally fine. One last thing: the place is easy to find once the host sends you the instructions. Without them, it’s a bit tricky, so be sure to wait for the full info before heading over. Overall, it’s a great value for a solo stay in NYC!

place was a perfect location for the airport and easy access to central Manhattan for the evening. Easy to find (10mins walk from train station) and easy to check in.

I liked that the beds were comfortable, we had space in a refrigerator to use. The location was close to Newark station so getting around the area was very easy. There are two supermarkets walking distance away!

The TV cannot be played without Bluetooth headphones so make sure to bring a pair that could connect, even then, I had a relatively new pair of JBL headphones and they turned out to be incompatible but for the purposes of keeping volume down between the rooms, it’s not a bad idea.

This place is a 10/10 for me personally. There’s a lot of shops around so you could walk to some places and not drive, the place is super clean, our room was spacious and the host is always ready to solve problems if needed, his communication is AMAZING. I highly recommend it.

Two bathrooms so makes the fact you have to share so easy and comfortable. Also nice and warm which was great. A short 5 minute walk to Penn Station and a 24 hour Walgreens 2 minutes away.

Good accommodation, quite & safe. We had no issues during our stay. We drove 1 car and following host instructions, there were no problems. Host is friendly, he responded immediately to queries. The location is very good, it is only 4 blocks from Newark Penn, it has shops, restaurants, pharmacies and others just a few steps away. I would definitely book again.
