The location, and building were amazing! Our room was beautifully decorated, spacious, and comfortable. It really felt like an escape! We didn't use it much, but there was also a huge and beautiful common area and back patio that would have been lovely to read or relax in. In the room, there were lovely robes and slippers to stay warm in as well. The staff was also very helpful for recommendations and helping with anything we needed!

The shower curtains were flimsy and the draft plus the curtains made taking a shower really difficult. Sound also traveled a lot due to the historic nature of the building. Additionally both our bedframe and bedside tables were sheet metal and reverberated when anything touched them (e.g., setting down a glass or your phone).

The decor was incredibly charming and the living room furniture comfortable for cozy hanging out during the cold days. It was nice to have both a desk and kitchen table so my husband & I could use our computers at the same time. Although our rooms were above the bar, the music--not too loud, but audible-- stopped in time for a very quiet night's sleep. The bar & restaurant are excellent. Location was good, walkable to center of town and to the train station.

Nice to have a full-size kitchen--but if you want plates, bowls, silverware or any other kitchen wares, you have to ask for them. Electric kettle and toaster are useful, but apart from tea & coffee bags (no coffee making equipment), you have to procure your own breakfast. A french press and toaster oven would improve matters.

The room was very well appointed and comfortable and the location was very convenient. To mark my husband's birthday, we arrived to find a chilled bottle of Cava for the celebration - nice touch! We walked all around town and thoroughly enjoyed the exploration.

There was some noise perceptible from the hallway and adjacent rooms, perhaps because of the hard surfaces and because there was a large gap at the bottom of our room's door. It might be helpful to consider some rugs or other ways to dampen sound.

Charming hotel in every way! We loved our room and having the sitting area and mini kitchen was incredible. It had everything we needed. We had an incredible dinner and oyster happy hour! The location is perfect for accessing all things in town. We found the staff charming and professional. We will be back.

We needed a makeup mirror with lights. Room is dark and hard to put on makeup. Need extra mirror outside bathroom as we had three people. Staff cleaned room and removed the clever black wash cloths and not returned. Would be great to provide bottled water. Fan in living room seems only to have on/off and nothing in between.

Such a beautiful and warm place! the modernized royal rustic farmhouse interior design is a feast to eyes. perfect location and great helpful staff. we enjoyed the town for a short stay and it left permanent great memories. We also had dinner at the restaurant which was 10/10 as well.

we appreciate the nature but we found a little bug inside the bathroom at some point. I don’t mind it but my parents were a bit nervous about it.

the room was charming...a great blend of antiques and new..bathroom was up to date.. the one downside to the property is that one must be prepared to climb stairs (in my case two sets of steep stairs) to get to your room..no elevator to haul luggage up although the staff will help if you ask. loved the room and the public spaces..

The rooms, bed and restaurant were excellent. Tuesday night had an oyster and martini happy hour and the quality was fabulous.

The staircase to the rooms we had were steep but the hotel offers to assist you with bags. If was fine for us but be aware if you have mobility challenges.

great location close to river and within walking distance of warren street and train. felt like home immediately. wonderful staff and beautiful room. will definitely stay here again if we are in the area

everything was perfect

Arrived late and staff waited for us. It was snowing and cold out and our room had a little wood stove heater that made it so cozy. To our delight, there was a turntable with a few albums so we played some music and had nothing but smiles on our faces. Room was extremely comfortable!

Minnie was incredibly helpful because we arrived late and were afraid of missing dinner. Unfortunately the Wm Farmer restaurant was closed on Thursday so she recommended a wonderful place and also called it to confirm we could bring our dog Chloe. It worked out perfectly because Minnie was so on it with 5 star service.
