The engagement and restaurant/bar staff was wonderful. They made me feel at home. Thank you to Jen, Joe, Sandy, Christina and Diana!! The front desk staff was very polite and helpful, too. The were able to fulfill all of my requests.The housekeepers did a great job and I had a comfortable stay.

If the restaurant was able to serve breakfast during the week, that would be nice. Fortunately, I was able to walk to some nice breakfast places. If you had more local options for the tour / activity pamphlet wall, it would encourage walkable / nearby activities instead of just taking a train into the city to watch a show.

I’ve had the best stay here at Long Beach Hotel. My room was upgrade because I was alone. The bed was super comfy. I was able to sleep peacefully during my three days of stay. the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The towels smells good, room is clean and smells good, i had a small fridge, no slippers or toothbrush so bring one. There is a complimentary coffee in the lobby. They have a small store in the lobby for snacks and drinks. I tried the resto and bar and the food was great. Would definitely come back again (hope I get the same room coz I loved it!)

The room Ken put me in was amazing!!! This stay put me back to saying this is a great place to stay for a night or two, I will actually come back after this and not as a last resort but back to my FIRST CHOICE!! Thank you Ken!

I read a few bad reviews and was told I should change my booking to a “better” hotel down the street. I’m glad I didn’t. Everyone I met on staff was friendly and helpful. The property is undergoing renovations. We found it comfortable and clean. That said, it is an older building and if you have noisy neighbors, you’ll hear them. I didn’t. I would book another room here if I revisit Long Beach. To the managers keep doing what you’re doing; thank you for a good stay.

The room was sparsely furnished. A comfortable chair would be a good addition to the room.

Oh my goodness ~ Tekla! When we checked in, we were bummed, we'd expected an ocean view which doesn't exist as hotel is a block from the shore. But Tekla, with her sweet demeanor, calmed us and opened us up the sweetness of the hotel. It's an older building but, it's clean. I found it charming once I let my guard down. The elevator worked, as did the jacuzzi tub. We had delicious complimentary coffee in the morning before our one minute walk to the beach. We were able to purchase goodies in the 24 hour snack center in the lobby. So, adjust your expectations. Arrive with the idea of enjoying the nostalgia of a Long Beach from days gone by. Smell the sea breeze while you journal. Have an ice cold Corona at the outdoor bar/Cafe. But most importantly, say hi to Tekla - tell her I can't wait to come back and see her again.

The hotel was ok, and the food at the restaurant was AMAZING! We were only a block from the beach, which was also amazing and the determining feature for choosing this hotel. There was free street parking and it seemed like a safe neighborhood for the car.

The room (two twin beds) was tiny and reminded us of a dorm room. The mattresses were broken in the middle and my teen slid out of bed in the middle of the night. The walls were thin, so I could hear the guys next door listing to music on their phones (as if they were in the room with us). We chose the hotel solely for its proximity to the beach, but we were expecting a little more from the room.

The staff was extremely responsive to our needs. I also liked being able to show my son an old style elevator. We only had to go up one floor, but he enjoyed that experience! The room was quiet also, which was nice.

The door stuck, there was no phone in the room, the radiated heat was way too high, and the windows wouldn't stay open. However, the exceptional staff and the uniqueness of the old building made up for these particular shortcomings.

The room was a lot larger then I expected. The staff at the reception was extremely nice and helpful with information whenever needed and offered more. Very friendly and even offered late checkout if needed. I would recommend this hotel anytime to anyone (but my enemies ;-) )

The staff is so kind and attentive here. And for the money, this is a GREAT value compared to other hotels in the area! It’s off the boardwalk so if you like peace and quiet, this is it. This was our 3rd visit - this is our go-to spot when making a weekend out of Long Beach.

There’s nothing we don’t like - it’s just subject to normal stuff for that area. Example: the on-site bar and grill wasn’t open due to upgrade issues. Any property ever gets subject to that stuff once in awhile.

The bed was very comfortable and the AC worked very well. Staff was very helpful and kind, and the restaurant in the hotel was very convenient.

The hotel could use an update in hallway carpeting, but that didn't bother me too much. Parking is hit or miss, especially on a weekend. If you find a free spot, keep it as long as you can.
