Location cannot be beat, just steps away from the Little Whiteface, next door to Hungry trout restaurant and their bait shop, 10 miles to Lake Placid and ample fishing opportunities nearby. We got a family room which was like a 2 bedroom apartment with a balcony facing the mountains. Almost blackout curtains, the beds were comfortable. The motel surroundings were beautifully maintained, early morning walks around the property and the view of the mountains were amazing. You can do campfires and they have arranged multiple spots to do just that. Kids loved the play area and had fun with the owner's dogs which was their fav part of the stay.

The location to Lake Placid was perfect. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful!

I didn't get breakfast there. There was no pan in my kitchenette to use. I thought there would be more appliances available to use to cook, but that wasn't the case. There should be a clearer post that there aren't any laundry facilities at the Ledge Rock, so people can plan accordingly.

The location was perfect. We booked a one-bedroom suite and had our large dog with us (100lbs) and they were super accommodating to him. When we ran into an issue with the room they were there within 15 minutes and we had a solution immediately. I spoke with the owner and one of his sons during one of my many dog walks and I can't say how much this is just a family atmosphere. This is the place you come to unplug. The views from our balcony and the many tables and huts in the front with the view of Whiteface will help you do that. The bedding was amazing and so soft (turns out it was Ugg bedding!) and the shower unit in our room was redone recently.

There wasn't so much I didn't like, but I'll use this space to set expectations. There are definitely parts of these rooms that are still in need of updating. That said, you won't regret your stay here for the location and the views. Typical Adirondack internet service can be sporadic at times, but this is not the hotels 's fault. Cell service was just fine as backup. Just something to note in case you think you'll be working remotely.

Family operation. Old style charm….obviously being updated. Lots of activities on the grounds. Awesome friendly owners/staff! Second floor rooms (with same level entry from parking at rear of building) had decks with great Adirondack chairs and view of Whiteface Mtn. to enjoy our morning coffee. Very reasonably priced.

Towel bar in bathroom broken/missing. Bathroom door sticks a bit. Any negatives easily outweighed by the pluses! 😊

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Had an amazing view out my window. Coffee maker and microwave were definitely useful. Quiet location and I felt safe. Tap water was tasty and very drinkable. Bed linens clean and comfortable. Towels thick and fluffy.

The room had a slightly musty/old odor. The interior is dated and could use refreshing. Bathroom floor tile was cracked which contributed to the dated look. The property is a gem that just needs repolishing.

Our family enjoyed the week we spent there. 1) the view is incredible - right in front of the whiteface mountain. in the night, the dazzling sky is breath taking. 2) the staffs are amazing, friendly and kind 3) The facilitation : there are BBQ outdoor, firepit, small cabins for rest, and even swings to play, amazing

sound proof could be improved. esp. we had a very noisy guest next door who had party till really late. but it is more on the guest rather than the hotel. nothing more to complained about

The location to Whiteface Mountain is great. The owner and his son that run the place are very friendly. Though the rooms are old, they are very clean.

The things that were a mild inconvenience were, the plumbing is old and the hot water can be fickle. It lasts the duration of the shower but fluctuates from warm to hot. Also, it is about 10-15 minutes away from any restaurants. These things are not deterrence, but things to be aware of.

the view was amazing. great location near hiking, stores, and a couple restaurants. The Hungry Trout is about 5 minutes down the road with delicious food and another beautiful view. clean room, plenty of space

it was a little outdated and had a musty smell but we just opened the windows and let the mountain air in.

Great little place with a family atmosphere! Essentially a rustic little motel almost directly across from Whiteface. Nothing fancy, but a beautiful view and very friendly accommodating family run business.

It’s dated, but we felt like it was part of the charm.

Location and the view is amazing! Lots of space outside for the kids to play around. The room had all the amenities, it was clean and super comfy. TV has free access to Netflix and Disney +

No dryer in the bathroom.
