My husband and I spent two nights here on our way home from the Adirondacks. Twin Gables is in the heart of Woodstock where you can walk to all the lovely shops and restaurants. Leeann the innkeeper is friendly and makes you feel welcome, as well as serve a delicious continental breakfast. We loved the roof deck which has a nice view of Overlook Mountain. While in the area we also visited Opus 40, saw the Midnight Ramble at Levon Helm Studio, and swam at Big Deep, all very close by. We also slept like babies in our comfy and cozy room 6. I highly recommend Twin Gables while visiting Woodstock or just passing through.

There was nothing I did not like about the Twin Gables.

The breakfast was excellent. The owner and Jenn were exceptionally friendly and eager to be helpful and to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The location was excellent. Parking was very easy. We LOVED seeing (and playing) a couple songs from 33 ⅓ black vinyl records that were available, and still able to be played on their record player. It brought us back to another time that we remember so well. The room was great (our beds were quite comfortable), and the bathroom was just LOVELY!!!

To be honest - can't think of a thing! if I am ever back in the area, i would love to return.

Loved Twin Gables B&B! The house and our room were absolutely beautiful—spotless and thoughtfully maintained. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making for a restful stay. The only drawback was on our first night, when the guests below us were quite loud, talking and yelling until around 1:30 AM. Unfortunately, we could hear everything. Other than that, our stay was wonderful!

The location was great! The staff was really friendly and the hotel was clean.

I was surprised and disappointed to find out that they were unable to hold my bags after checkout; I was not leaving Woodstock until later in the day and had to carry my bags around with me after my 11:00 checkout. I have never experienced this at a hotel before.

This was the cutest, most cozy, most centrally located hotel I had been to in a while. Leann was fabulous, and made it known she was available if I needed anything. The room was sO cute and comfy — I've never sunk into a pillow better! Just down the road is Sharkie's which had a delicious meatball and birchtree clothing which I adored. I will be coming back and would strongly advise anyone else to try out this sweet colorful paradise.

My only regret is that I left too early to try the breakfast!

Perfect location when we visit the Bearsville Theater!! It’s a house so it’s super welcoming & cozy. Clean & tidy. The decor throughout has the Woodstock vibe. The rooftop terrace is an awesome bonus. Coffee bar & just enough breakfast to get you going. Fruit, yogurt, cereal, muffin, croissant etc. Great staff, we hit some traffic and received a courtesy call that the office would be closing soon & she stayed a little later to check us in.

We stayed in a lovely double room at the front of the property. The house itself is really lovely, decor is fabulous. There were little touches like a snack basket for purchase in the room. The towels in bathroom felt clean and new. The place was spotless. The location is in the centre of town yet very quiet and peaceful. We even saw a deer outside!

I had a great stay! The place was very clean, and the host was incredibly kind and helpful — she took the time to explain everything about the property and the area. The location is super central and convenient, and the design is charming and unique.

The only downside was that the breakfast could use some improvement, but overall it was a really enjoyable experience.

The breakfast was nice. There were croissants, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit in a cup, as well as whole fruits like bananas, apples and oranges. Choices for drinks were coffee, tea, orange juice and water. The location was perfect, close to restaurants and shops.

The locks on the shared bathroom areas did not work. My room was really small, had a moldy smell and seemed damp. I thought the parking area behind the Inn was very small. I ended up parking off the street on the side road. I understand that they will be remodeling soon, and that all rooms will have their own bathrooms. If you are on the second floor, need to get luggage up the steps.

An absolutely superb guest house where every possible thing has been thought of in order to give guests a stay to remember. I highly recommend Twin Gables and as I visit Woodstock regularly from UK, in order to see my son and his family, I will be making the guest house my place to stay in future for sure.
