Our check in time was significantly delayed and we did not get there until midnight. There was such a nice and sweet lady that stayed up to check us in. She made us feel so relieved from our ordeal with traveling and vehicle issues and was very welcoming. And...the beds were like sleeping on a dream cloud! Very clean and simple rooms and only 5 minutes to downtown Asheville and lots of restaurants all around and Ingles right across the street. I booked a room again for another trip I'm taking in a week since I felt so comfortable there.

Nothing really, no complaints here.

The hotel is located very close to downtown Asheville and has several restaurants within easy walking distance including McDonalds, Taco Bell, Subway, Panda Express and Outback. They provide a Continental Breakfast that has coffee, bagels, English Muffins, yogurt, cheese sticks, oatmeal, mini muffins and microwaveable mini sausage biscuits and omelettes. All of the staff I dealt with were very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was chill and all of the rooms have balcony space to sit outside! There’s even a community area where people smoke that’s surrounded by all kinds of plants and herbs!

TV was very small and was NOT a smart TV. The sunshades were dingy and stained so they need to be replaced! There was no coffee maker in the room. The rooms do have rather large refrigerators and a microwave.

Great location. Plenty of food options within walking distance. 5 mins away from downtown, 10 mos away from the River Arts District and 30 mins away from Craggy Gardens/Pinnacle. Staff were wonderful, polite and very helpful. Breakfast is a quick grab and go (with a waffle maker), which was fine with me. I ate plenty lol. The motel itself was nice and quiet even with a few other guests walking around or sitting out their patio. The room was clean, staff stopped everyday to up keep the room. Only complaint I would have about the room is how the AC was on the other side of the room, which made the room hard to keep cool. But all in all a great motel to stay at if you plan to visit Asheville.

I love that the balcony was accessible and faced the courtyard, which was pleasant. It was nice to sit out there and enjoy the weather. The bed and room were very comfy and perfect for the overnight stay. The property owner listened to my feedback at checkout and was very pleasant.

My room entrance was on the side facing the sexy book store, and it felt a little desolate and secluded as at the time I checked in there were no other guests on that side. As a solo female traveler I parked in front where I felt a little more visible going to and from my car. Overall I felt safe though.

The staff is always nice, the location is perfect, only a few minutes from downtown or any place you need to go. We always book this hotel when we travel to asheville, which is every 4-6 months.

The location is ideal for us and our reasons for being in downtown Asheville, without being over priced. The breakfast is improving and is already better than the standard free breakfast offered at other hotels. Having an Ingles and several restaurant choices nearby is a big plus. The rooms are roomy and suitably equipped for our needs. Service personnel were very attentive to our needs and quick to offer or provide the necessary help. The beds and pillows were comfy.

Room lighting always seems to be similar to what yo might expect in a cave. It must be an industry standard. WE bring our own adequate lighting with us now.

Very nice and clean rooms. This place is absolutely beautiful and it's close to everything with in walking distance. This is really an amazing place to stay it is different than anywhere I've stayed before. It is so peaceful and quiet you forget that you are in the city!! Loved this place!!

That we were only passing through so I didn't like not being able to enjoy this very unique and really amazing place.

I like the room..the size of bed, and room...

Perfect spot, and location of where I needed to be. The room was great, nice size, and exceptionally clean..the refrigerator was leaking water..not sure if from freezer in Rm. 126...but, that's the only issue. Oh..and at checkout, I think the staff should ask if I would like a receipt physically, or emailed? Also, I felt a little insecure with no latch to go over my door for that extra security. The little lock on the door was necessary..but, a latch, or chain ..something for added security in these days, and times are. Emissary for your guest to feel even more comfortable, and secure..

Spacious room with all the accessories we look for - tv, fridge, microwave, work table. Clean room and bathroom. Beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. Obviously a refurbished hotel with older style room layout and construction, which means superior soundproofing compared to more modern structures. Hotel staff was responsive to our needs and worked hard to present a caring and professional attitude. Breakfast offerings were standard with a twist. No waffles, but egg omelets made a nice change from standard fare. Location on Tunnel Hill Road across from McDonalds and Ingles was very nice. A short drive from downtown.

We could have used an extra hand towel with the towel set and had to exchange dirty for clean at the front desk every day. The lighting in the room was quite dim and one of the lights was out until we were able to replace the bulb. We noticed frequent intervals where the front lobby was closed for 10 minutes or so at a time so the front desk clerk could step away to take care of unknown matters. Perhaps there could be more than one staff member on the premises at a time? Getting breakfast out for the guests seemed to be a chaotic and frantic exercise.

Breakfast was fine, but hard boiled eggs would have been a nice addition to a continental breakfast as there wasn’t really any protein. The outdoor courtyard was great!!

We couldn’t decide how sketchy the neighborhood was since the motel is next door to an adult toy store. The bathroom door was hard to close. Shaving a bit off the bottom would be an easy and cheap way to fix that.
