The staff, Manager Crystal and Server Susan, were exceptional. Crystal was very responsive to our requests. Susan in the restaurant was the best. Crystal gave us a room, but when we went into it, it smelled like smoke which was unbearable. She then gave us a different room which was fine, however the phone didn't work and the safe didn't work. She told us that he phones were being replaced and she got someone to quickly replace the battery in the safe. She also gave us breakfast coupons. She went above and beyond.

The lighting in the bathroom is not good. There were no outlets on one side of the bed to plug in a phone.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable - blackout curtains exceptional! The room (318) has an extremely loud a/c and at times would go up a level in noise. It did make it difficult to fall asleep (husband had ear plugs and I stuck a finger in my ear). I didn’t mention this to reception as every hotel we have stayed at since arriving in the US (4) have had very loud air conditioning units so we figured this is just what people put up with here. This was the loudest though. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, but the menu looked good.

It was a very comfortable room. The location was fantastic. My wife and I walked everywhere downtown. The price can’t be beat for a downtown stay. There’s a lot of reviews about it being dated. Truthfully, it is a little dated but very clean and comfortable. Kind of like your Grandma’s house. Assuming she had a little money. This may not matter to everyone, but the coffee is good too. Pretty sure it’s Marriott coffee. The staff is also friendly. Shower was clean and had great hot water and pressure. Beds were very comfortable too. Staff was very friendly.

Only snag we had was initially getting checked in to a room that hadn’t been cleaned yet. However, the staff gave us free breakfast buffet vouchers for our entire stay to make it right.

The location is convenient within walking distance to any point in Downtown Asheville. Also the hotel provides free parking and is easy to get on the highway. The hotel provides daily room service to replace towels and make beds.

We stayed for more than a week in this hotel. The weekend, we ran out of supplies in the bathroom, the used towels were not collected and no fresh one left. Some days, there were no coffee packages or cups in the room. We had to ask the front desk and they told us the room service on the weekends was one another day even though the weekend rate is higher than weekdays.

The location of the hotel is great, especially for the price of the hotel room. The hotel is easily accessible right off the highway. The breakfast was also surprisingly good, and the restaurant staff were very kind to us.

Despite booking a room for four people, we were told that the breakfast provided by the reservation is only available for only two people per room. We were not given any justification or explanation for the policy and were not notified beforehand.

Nice, comfortable and clean room. Easy and fast check in/out. Staff kindly allowed us to park our bikes at front porch due to rainy weather. The location is great, few minutes walk from Asheville downtown with a lot of restaurants and shops. Big onsite parking. Close to I40 and I26 highways.

The room description was a bit unclear on site and nobody answered my question to the property (via apps) to clarify this. Hopefully, the room appeared to be as I believed it is. The breakfast is available for additional charge (we didn’t try that, just went to our favorite bakery nearby).

The location is great for downtown Asheville. The staff were great and loved to say hello to the dogs. The breakfast was a large buffet with everything you would expect.

The hotel is definitely an older one that has been updated. Some of the updates were great and you would have no idea, but others I question why they didn't the finish the updating? For example, the shower had 2 sides with all new clean grout/tile and then the one with the faucet was not updated at all, therefore the juxtaposition of the 2 makes it so obvious. It wasn't dirty, it just wasn't new and the grey color grout vs the white was striking. It looks like they tried to whiten it up in some places (grout pen) but it has since come off and now makes it look much worse now.

I would return to this hotel. I initially chose the location mostly due to its access to the Concert Venue we were attending in Asheville. The staff was the BEST part - Accommodating, Friendly and Attentive to any needs from the front desk staff at check in, during the stay and at checkout. We loved the Chop House! And by mention of all the staff, I would also include our interactions with the following team members: the on site managers, the restaurant workers, housekeeping and the Security staff. WELL DONE! Early check in and a very early check out time were easy. The price was also excellent and appropriate.

It's obviously an older more outdated property than some hotels. I feel like the rooms furnishings and lobby furniture, etc are attempts to stay updated - which is very appreciated. However, the general physical plant and "bigger ticket items" - the hotel carpeting for example - should be invested in and considered more seriously by the property owners.

Room on 4th floor, surprisingly quiet. Bed was very comfortable. The black out curtains were great. They kept the room nice and dark. A/C had a continuous fan, so it didn't shut on and off at night. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially Requan at the front desk.

The room was a little "tired." The sink is the bathroom was cute but not really functional for a hotel.

Clean. Comfortable. Friendly helpful and courteous staff from maintenance to housekeeping to catering/bar service to front desk to management!! Top notch!! Cheers to Martha and her team in Bistro Catering for awesome service for our wedding weekend welcome party, post party and farewell breakfast! Class acts!! Martha, we appreciate your working with us on extending the bar staff to accommodate our guests!!! Cheers to Shelby and her team at the front desk for always taking the initiative to lend a helping hand or two to make sure that we had everything we needed. Shout out to Austin, Colby, Serenity… I hope that was her name ;). Special thanks to the gentleman from I believe maintenance, so sorry, I can’t recall his name, but he helped continuously with everything in the conference room all weekend to make sure everything was just perfect!! He was amazing!! What a great staff you have!!! All are SO deserving of an Employee Appreciation Award! We certainly tipped them all, but would love for the hotel management to recognize and honor these superstar staff members!! Not all names were mentioned, but if they worked from Thursday, 9/21-Sunday, 9/24, please thank them all again from the Watsons and I hope the hotel management can find a way to show them how much they really are valued and appreciated for their hospitality and their service!!
