The breakfast was good, but I have stayed at other Holiday Inns that had more selection than this one.

Other Holiday Inns have had potatoes and cinnamon rolls, bacon. It would be nice if the machine for orange juice and apple juice would be cold instead of warm.

The staff was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. Every part of the hotel that we experienced was very clean (lobby, elevator, room, indoor pool area, and breakfast area.) Showers were clean and up to date (that's a big one for me). Also, I absolutely loved the outdoor breakfast area. It was lovely, watching birds care for a nearby nest while having a tasty breakfast and coffee.

Exterior of the hotel was under construction, so the outside pool couldn't be used and WiFi was out of order. First world problems.

Everything!!!! The food was awesome! The front desk staff upgraded us to a suite on the 6th floor because there was something wrong with the booking when we checked in and our room was Amazing!!! End of the hall, quiet, super nice and after traveling all day, so grateful. The young woman at the front desk was so kind (she has a very high pitched little kid voice- any recap her name) and the woman serving breakfast was a DYNAMO!!! She should get a raise! She was on top of all of it and so sweet!!!! I spoke to her I. Spanish and she said she lived her job. She made a lasting impression. Promote her.

The location provided easy access to plenty of shops, restaurants, and the highways. Breakfast was good and offered a variety of options from muffins, cereal, eggs and sausage. A large sports group was present, but we were located at the end of the hall on the fourth floor and either intentional or not, the placement was excellent and quiet. Room was clean and shower was hot with better than average water pressure. Check in and out was quick and staff was friendly.

Room had a slight smell upon entering but dissipated after a few minutes with the AC on. The parking lot was tight but had ample spots even with a large sports group present. It was a little pricey for my preference.

The location was better than we had hoped for. Just a short drive into the middle of town or you can jump on interstate to head to the outskirts. The bed was comfy and the room was surprisingly quiet. While the lot was a bit disjointed, there were plenty of spots and we enjoyed parking underneath of the hotel as had our bikes attached to our van.

We only had the breakfast buffet the first morning (out of 3). While sufficient, it was not the best. But the eating area was clean and really nice and the staff kept everything stocked. More variety would be nice.

I thought the room was pleasant and very clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, even when compared to our PosturePedic bed at home. The location to downtown and outdoor hiking activities in the mountains was very nice. The staff was helpful in an instant when asking about getting connected to the spotty wi-fi, and I noticed an improvement the next day regarding the connectivity, which was great for the rest of our visit. I have a feeling something got fixed after I asked about it. We mostly ate at nicer local restaurants, but I did like the fact that we could walk to some fast food places for the kids when needed.

The speed humps in the parking lots are too sharp and make you slow down way to much and a couple of them are within feet of each other. I just thought they were excessively annoying. The swimming pool setup was nice, and we enjoyed it, but it looks like the tiles and room needs redone soon as the chlorine looks to be eating it's way under the tiles and even some metal window framing. Those tiles were quite slick, too! The surrounding properties to the hotel were a little downtrodden, but fine.

The property is in a fantastic location, super close to down town Asheville only about a 5-10 minute drive. The view is so pretty, and its super close to lots of restaurants, grocery stores, and activities. This hotel was one of the cheaper options for us, and the staff and the quality is even better than more expensive places we have stayed. The 2 people at the front desk on our first night were so incredibly kind and welcoming, it definitely set the tone for the rest of our trip :)

My only complaint is the breakfast is always the same, we stayed for 5 days and it’s always the same hot stuff, however there’s enough variety that you can change it up a little.

From the start, I was greeted by welcoming faces, & enjoyed being able to decompress with no worries what so ever. As I’m near McDowell, I was informed nearby locals despite being out of county are hard to be accepted at times, although I’ve never had an issue with that outside of the county I reside as it’s 40+ miles out. With that being said, I thoroughly enjoyed the facilities, & will look forward to potentially considering another getaway there as my effort, & work environment is extremely important to me as a self employed individual. Where I go, my work goes, & all facilities were great!

This was a last minute booking for us and we were thrilled to get a suite when we arrived! The room was very spacious, with a massive and comfortable bed. The room was very clean.

It was a little further out of town for anyone looking to explore downtown Asheville, but you can get there in a 10 minute drive.

Good location, nice spaces, friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast, good coffee for hotel coffee. The fire alarm did its job well when somebody lit a candle in their room. The hotel was sold out, but it was surprisingly quiet.

Our first room had something quite nasty on the toilet seat. Also learned that room had a WiFi router expander in the room, and we’d rather not sleep that close to one. Second room was fine, but cleanliness was not over the top by any means. And the floor cleaner used in the public spaces has a REALLY strong odor.
