Carolina Beach has a fairly limited amount of hotels. The C ourtyad is smack in the center of the action. The location is perfect. The reception is extremely friendly. The staff is excellent, friendly and always trying to make sure your stay is pleasant. The Bistro restaurant was very nice, clean and with an excellent menu which was great for breakfast. It also has a well-supplied bar and a nice buffet. There is also a small snack, items and drinks station behind the front desk that even includes beer. The rooms are large, comfortable and with outstanding views. One thing that caught my attention was how sound proof the rooms are. Even with the amusement park music going full blast at night, you could not hear a thing once you close the balcony door. Elevators were never crowded and everybody was very friendly. The beach is great, never super crowded. The Boardwalk is short but beautifully maintained. We loved the swing benches, although in high demand, but a nice touch to sit down, swing and enjoy the breeze. We loved the people all around town. A definite place to return to.

The one thing that may be of note is the price. It can be up there, but given the amenities, location, comfort and total experience, I guess they all make up for the room rate. So, it is all relative!

We loved the room layout it was a very relaxing experience with a great view! It had easy access to the boardwalk and many good restaurants in walking distance it was really great! The Starbucks inside was nice but for the cost of the room it would be nice to have complementary coffee and juice in the morning. We also enjoyed the channel list available the TV.

The building is nice but could use some maintenance, The elevator floor especially. Wall paper is starting to show stains from age. A complimentary breakfast would be very nice for the price of the rooms to stay competitive with the surrounding hotel's.

I honestly loved the hotel! It was really pretty, clean and beautiful. I loved how they had makeup remover wipes, I had forgotten mine at home and the fact that they had 2 pairs in the bathroom made my day! Another thing I loved was that they had multiple spare towels right beside the pool! It was very convenient for those who didn’t bring a towel with them down to the pool! I have stayed in multiple different hotels before and none of them have ever had any spare towels by the pool and makeup remover wipes which made me love staying here. Will definitely be booking again!!

The only bad thing I didn’t like was that I saw an Ant on the mattress.

All staff were friendly and professional. The hotel was at a convenient location for most of the boardwalk activities and restaurants. Ocean view was beautiful. Clean.

The only thing that bothered me was that housekeeping would only leave 3 sets of towels in a room that sleeps four, and we had four people. Upon arrival we only had 3 sets, & housekeeping stoped by one day & only left us 3 sets & told us we had to call the front desk for another set. I had to keep asking the front desk for enough towels. Make it make sense!

We only live an hour away and wanted to do a "staycation". Great place to do so. Love the late indoor pool hours. 11pm. And our ocean front balcony was fantastic. We didnt have any chairs for our balcony so we called and a very nice young white guy in house keeping brought them up and answered some questions about the place for us.

Everything in our room was great except the pillows. They, quite frankly, suck.They are down pillows so they compress alot when used. Not great support. Didnt sleep well. If we come back we will bring our own memory foam pillows. Was also disappointed they dont provide some kind of breakfast spread. The Hampton Inn, next door does so we are considering that place the next time we decide to staycay.

The location is ideal as it was right on the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and beds super comfortable. I would recommend this place.

They didn’t have bottled water in the rooms. It would be more convenient to have bottles of water in the room or access to filtered water for coffee and drinking. Parking was also limited if you leave in the afternoon you have a low probability of finding parking when you get back there in the evenings.

Currently working on balconies, not stated at the time of booking only brought up there days prior in an email, with no opportunity to cancel only to move your reservation with no penalty , couldn’t move reservation I already took off from my job! Jack hammers were quite annoying all day long, couldn’t sit on our balcony because of the constant dust on most days…….

Celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary with our stay at The Courtyard by Marriott. We also enjoyed celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary there 5 years prior. Soo glad we decided to return. Loved it!!!

The only thing that needed improvement was the landscaping.The overgrowth needed trimming especially along the pathway going to the beach. However, it's certainly understandable with the weather patterns this summer. The wooden handrail also needed to be mended.

The facilities were fine and the staff went above and beyond considering there was a tropical storm that came through. Offered free meals for lunch and dinner on the day of the storm because nothing was open in town, nor could you get anywhere with the flooding.

They need a bar by the toilet and second bar at back of shower. I wasn't offered an ADA room. Toilet is too low. Also a step stool for the bed is good for someone whose short or with disabilities.

I was very happy with the room, the location, and the view. I was very happy with how polite the staff was, from housekeeping to the front desk. I even like the amusement park beside the hotel. I will visit again.

I can't find anything I did not like about my stay at this site. I have visited this hotel at least four times, and I have not ever been unhappy while there. I would love to visit more than once a year.
