Breakfast was awesome !!! Loved the vegetables in the egg whites ! Loved the hotel being close to Lowe's foods ! All of the staff members were very friendly ! The beds and pillows were like sleeping on clouds. Everything was very clean.

The staff member who prepared our room for our arrival forgot to give us a towel bath mat to step out of the the shower onto. That tile floor, when wet is very slippery. We were in on the 15th, and out on the 17th, which meant 3 showers each.............and we were given 2 wash cloths each. But luckily I had brought extra washcloths , from home. I asked one of the room prep girls in the hallway about the bathmat towel, and she extremely cheerfully handed me 2 !! This was really only a small issue. We loved our stay !!!

Reception team was exceptional. They were friendly and allowed me to check in early. I had a very long day with multiple connecting flights and had been travel since the day before I check in. They were very pleasant to deal with, very professional and gave some recommendations for places to eat near by and places to visit near by .. oak island , Southport and Holden beach.

They were remodeling but it really was not an issue. It was not noisy and did not really impact my stay. It looks like once they are finish it will be really nice / updated / new .

The staff was really friendly and the breakfast was exactly what we needed in the morning I loved having the stress of the morning routine during vacation taken off my shoulders. We are also very close to the beach and to town for groceries. I also like to comment the fact that the bathrooms and the rooms are very clean and spacious. The AC gets super cold and I can't stay enough how nice it was to have complementary toiletries available in the shower. I think we will definitely be coming again.

We have stayed here multiple times and never had any issues at all. It's minutes away from the beaches in Oak Island, maybe 15-20 min from Holden Beach, and maybe 5-7 minutes from Southport. The rooms here are good sized and always comfy. Breakfast is always great, they never disappoint. Lots of hot items as well as cereal, oatmeal grits. We like that they have both regular milk and chocolate milk in to go sized bottles. The staff is always very pleasant during check in. Nice and clean always

The only thing I can say is they are doing some construction in front the hotel but that is not their fault.

First and foremost the indoor pool was absolute hit especially on those rainy days with the kids and how it was open till 11:00 p.m.. Breakfast was always full and you had tons of choices to pick from. Every staff I encountered was so nice and above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. The beds were probably the most comfortable beds I have ever stayed in with a hotel. And I love the fact that our room had a jacuzzi tub in it. Everything was clean and any request I had they were more than happy to accommodate my request. This is our new favorite Hidden Gem at the beach and we will be staying here for our trips down every year.

The only thing I can say is how the roof was pouring out water. But we were here till Monday when the tropical Cyclone went through and their staff was actively either cleaning up the water or trying to do something to fix the problem. There really wasn't anything about this hotel that I didn't like. And the weather is beyond their control and they were actively cleaning it up.

Our stay here was phenomenal. We have stayed at many many hotels and most have been hit or miss in our experience. But this Holiday Inn was exceptional in every way. It was beautiful, clean, the beds were comfortable, the pool was open late, the staff were all AMAZING, and breakfast was delicious with much to choose from. We had to bother the front desk worker 3 times the first evening we were there, and not one time did we feel like an irritation or inconvenience. As we were checking out the front desk lady gave all my kids stickers. Little things like this add up and create a positive experience.

We had 2 small issues. The first, which is not really the fault of the hotel, is the entrance. There is road construction going on and the entrance is not marked well, so we missed it twice. The second issue was the pool room, I am not sure if there was too much chlorine or not enough ventilation, but after about an hour my sinuses and eyes were stinging and I was just watching my kids play, I was not in the water.

The bed was extremely comfortable. I wish I could take it with me. It was quiet. And the staff were awesome.

I thought in the pictures I saw that it had a bathtub but when we got there, it had a standup shower with a one sliding glass door and I had a toddler with me so it was very difficult to give her a shower.

The cleanliness; value and breakfast. The number one thing we liked was the staff, The General Manager (I forgot her name); Patty at the front desk and the breakfast ladies all made you feel important and not that you were an inconvenience.

Carpet in hallways could be updated. I believe a renovation was going though.

Excellent breakfast..,Sonya and whole staff was great very hard worker which rare these days and they enjoyed their job. We needed one night stay prior checking in at house we had reservation on Holden Brach. Sonya recommended Southport we had great dinner over looking the bay between islands and tour the town.

Shower could have been clean little better but other than that value and everything else was excellent and I will come back next time when we rent a house on beach to get extra day vacation since so much for night or two when add cleaning and all taxes in rental house.

AC in our room was loud and woke us frequently all night. when we told the morning attendant, she said she would call maintenance and let them know, so hopefully it was fixed for the next guests, otherwise, a terrific stay!! thanx
