Enjoyed everything.

Room very clean,.smelled clean and updated with walkin shower and wood floors. Great view! Staff friendly and I like that they do housekeeping on request only. They let me get my parking pass when I arrived early into town then, called me when my room was clean 1.5 hours earlier than check in. Great service. Loved how easy it was to access the tiki bar and beach. Only a 20 minute walk to the boardwalk. Didn't use the outdoor pool but it looked nice and I saw it being cleaned the day I was leaving.

Could use some other vending machines and the ice machine on my floor was empty and could use a good cleaning.

It's my second visiting the hotel, the first time was on May 10th, 2024, when my husband surprised me with a beach trip, and we had an amazing experience at the Golden Sands oceanfront Hotel as we did the checkout, I made a new reservation for the whole family. My kids loved it ❤️

No towels in the Indoor pool, needs to be more pending on it!!

Staff were SO sweet, patient and helpful !!! The rooms are very small and I've stayed in more upscale hotels for less, especially in April! Maybe Booking agency didn't help much. The service was excellent. Our TV went out and in 10 minutes a repairman came and immediately fixed the breaker! Best customer service Ive had and I'm 73 !!! . Loved the ample parking, and the Ocean restaurant and Tiki bar there; they have great food!! Hats off to the ladies at the front desk, they are so professional and seem to enjoy their job so much and I dont always see this!! I highly recommend Golden Sands. Recently remodeled too! 0

Upon arrival we were greeted with kindness and professionalism from both Kaylie and the Assistant Manager, Nicole. These two were so welcoming it was refreshing and so very much appreciated. They also suggested we go to the Tiki Bar during our stay and it was fabulous. The room was also comfortable and clean. I will definitely return to this hotel and hopefully get to see our new friends behind the counter, Nicole and Kaylie. Every day they made us feel so special. They even took the time to wish me a happy birthday. Thank you to all the staff, everyone was so nice!

Parking; the Ocean Grill and Tiki bar are a very popular location and that is wonderful. However, the parking lot for the hotel patrons fills up with cars not parking pass to stay at the hotel. There is a parking lot across the street for the restaurant but not everyone abides by that rule. There are large spot lights on the back side of the restaurant to protect the construction area. The spot lights regretfully shine into the hotel room. It is very hard to block the light. I am sure this will change when the construction is complete. There really isn't much to say negatively about this hotel!

I loved the location of the hotel. It had a restaurant and Tiki Bar with a nice boardwalk leading out to the ocean and a nice beach access path as well. The rooms were a decent size for the cost, with a great view of the ocean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating whenever we needed services such as cleaning or just buying something to drink in the lobby.

There was some construction going on while we were there, and they changed the check-in desk on us while we were there as well. The indoor pool was very dirty and gave my 4 year old son a rash on his arms and legs. The area around the pool was very dirty as well with no towels and limited seating for guest to sit and lounge or keep belongings while in the pool. The mattresses on the beds were very firm and uncomfortable.

Just outstanding! Rooms very nice size, comfortable and good amenities. Especially having a pullout sofa was great to give child own bed. Set up well for technology such as usb outlets and plug-ins. Staff is amazing. Friendly, welcoming and make you feel as if a neighbor. Beach is very close. Local dining and within quick drive to Wilmington. Super attractions such as USS North Carolina and Riverwalk. Don't miss getting a cupcake at The Peppered Cupcake, it is amazing. Would gladly return.

Not hotel's fault, but many people use the indoor pool as a wash off spot from the beach instead of the provided shower. Very unpleasant to have a child playing and someone comes in to wash sand off feet and dirty the pool. Outdoor pool is very nice, but when some guests start smoking at it, just gets smelly and unpleasant.

The property is in the midst of updates. One building is almost finished. The rooms are decorated with a retro vibe and are spacious, clean and comfortable in the renovated building. Most of the outside is updated. It is convenient to the tiki bar and pier and other restaurants within a few blocks. Front desk staff are very helpful. Has its own beach access and parking.

Sharing parking with visiting paying patrons to the tiki bar makes the lot fill up fast. Parking lot should only be for the hotel customers with the restaurant parking across the street. I didn’t have this problem while I was there but could see the potential.

The room was excellent hardwood floors wonderful you wouldn't expect that at the beach but that is the best thing ever. And staff was excellent friendly very helpful and the location was excellent everything you need is right there walking distance tiki bar everything food by the way was great hey what would you say about the trip what didn't you like about it nothing everything was perfectly I even put on the hardwood floors and everything

Parking was easy in & out. Beds comfy and room was super cute. We love having a kitchenette and full fridge definitely w plus. Ocean front and not too crowded. Outdoor pool was very refreshing. Good stay overall and private access to the beach. Enjoyed wehours oceanside grill and the tiki bar multiple time during our stay.

Ventilation if turn off room super muggy and created entire floor and tv stand be very moist and wet all over. Indoor poor outdate and dirty but pool was clean just wasn't appealing to see worn down. Didn't realize outdoor pool til third day. Towels and wash clothes did not cut amount person in room down for four guest only had two wash clothes having to ask for more when should be properly stocked. When ask for cleaning of room shower was not done as same sand as the end of shower.
