There were a few blips. There was no working fan in the bathroom, There needed to be a little more attention to cleaning in odd places like door frames. The sink drained incredibly slow, and I feel like there should be an additional trash can. Very minor issues. The beds and pillows were magnificent as always, which are my main reasons for staying at Hampton Inns. The adorable lady named Silvana at the breakfast bar was an absolute delight. She welcomed everyone and made them feel special. Overall this was a great property that I would visit again.

We liked the lounge vibe with the TVs, and comfortable furniture. We liked the coffee station, and the efficiency of the elevator, the ample parking, the comfort of the room, the blackout shades, the strong shower, the lovely events that took place when we were there, which seemed to be run with care.

Because we reserved multiple rooms (4) because our whole extended family was attending a family event offsite, the people at the desk were confused about which room was for which people, and they made check- in difficult. We had to be called each time to confirm the information already provided. And each time someone from our party checked in, a different employee was at the desk, and was unfamiliar with what we had explained in a comprehensive manner when we checked in.

The hotel was exceptionally clean! It smelled wonderful. That was the first thing I noticed and commented on that several times. My kids enjoyed the pool. It was also very clean and always fully stocked with pool towels. Having a restroom AT the pool was very nice. We were upgraded to a king suite for free and that was an unexpected surprise. The location was in a very busy area, but it was convenient to the places we visited. We went to the NC museum of Science (highly recommend!) and also went for a walk in William Umstead Park. Overall I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and the kindness of the staff. Breakfast was very good too.

The only complaints are that the mushroom fountain in the pool was not working. However, the front desk attendant did offer to let us visit the sister hotel's pool which had a mushroom fountain too...but it was very chilly and we didn't want to walk back wet and cold so we didn't go. Also, the pool is very shallow. It was perfect for my 5 year old, but my teenagers were a little disappointed that the deep part of the pool was only chest high to them. We still enjoyed ourselves though!

Gravy at breakfast yet not biscuit. Check out lady was gruff non-responsive to conversation. Spoke to a well dressed gentleman (to confirm Carl's name & leave him a tip) turns out she was the manager. Yuck. Those roles could be switched. We needed a shower chair and somehow they were all taken. Get more, disabled people often travel with people. A king bed is not sufficient, 2 queens are required...thus a shower chair or built in with the shower

The ease of check in and check out. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Each night my Grandchildren requested cocoa and the front desk clerk happily obliged them. This was a nice and unexpected treat. The room was bigger than expected. The interrupt and exterior were clean. The breakfast was excellent. There was a great variety to choose from. Close to downtown museums.

The room was comfortable and well-laid out. The breakfast offerings were pretty good and we appreciated that some of the offerings changed up day to day. The staff was also accommodating and friendly.

I understand why there wasn't a restaurant onsite as there is one at the hotel next door and they are owned by the same company. However, it would have been cool to have one at this hotel as well just for more options.

It was the first time I used the Hilton phone App to check in and out and enter the room without stopping at the entrance desk. My wife was impressed! We both liked the large pump containers of shampoo/conditioner/body wash that were mounted on the shower wall. I also found it very convenient to log into my Netflix account.

It was clean and had good breakfast! The staff members were kind. The shower had good water temperature!

There was a hammering/construction sound that began around 7:30 am and didn’t end until 10:30 am. It was less than ideal to be a tired traveler and be unrested because of hammering sounds that early in the morning. That is our only complaint.

Friendly and helpful staff at check-in and when we needed extra pillows, clean room, and a great breakfast! The girl attending the breakfast area was amazing, kuddos to her!

On the day of check out, we got a knock at the door, I hollered to let whoever knocked know that I'd be a minute. As my husband approached the door, the housekeeper opened the door without consent. It was nowhere near check out time. I understand that some customers check out without reporting to the front desk (leaving the keys in a drop box), but, even though she apologized, we did find it inappropriate for our door to be opened just to know if we were still there so they could clean.

They demanded a $30 “amenities “ add on and said it would later be taken off my card after checkout but checkin and checkout staff had different explanations and assurances I am unsure how I will know the $30 is refunded and the “deposit” should have been disclosed with reservation
