Very well located. The room is clean, nice and ample; although the mattresses of the bed and sofa bed are NOT in their best shape anymore :( The bathroom is functional and has a comfortable size. It has a “closet”, drawers, safe box, hair dryer, garment steamer, and everything you could think of to be comfortable, while staying at the hotel. The Lobby is modern and beautiful. The common areas are nice and spacious. The restaurant has an amazing view to the Willamette River, although I haven’t had the chance to eat there because the kitchen closes at 9:00 pm during the week, and at 10:00 pm during the weekends, I heard that it is good though. I’m planing to have breakfast/brunch tomorrow. The staff at the restaurant were really nice last night, letting me know they were already closed 💓

Everything was very clean and well kept. It had one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in, in a long while. The staff were professional and very pleasant to converse with. The restaurant inside, Sweet Waters, was pleasant and quiet. The food was tasty and plentiful. The staff went out of their way to ensure that my requests were met. The hotel room was large and comfortable with a desk and a solid cushioned chair and a relaxing balcony with a table and two chairs. The bathroom was clean and had a roomy walk-in shower. The lobby was spacious and had a lodge like sitting area with fireplace, offering a lengthy wall of books. Of course, the young gentlemen I observed were working on their laptops and using their phones. All in all positive experience on my part. I will certainly find an excuse to return.

One of the wall chargers offered by the room between the beds did not work, and my phone was dead by morning. I used the one above the desk, and it was charged by the time I checked out.

The new decor is cleaner and more uplifting than the old decor. I liked that there is a real freezer in the mini refrigerator. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.

The sheets smell of a laundry fragrance that is annoying. The fragrance transfers to pajamas and hair so it is with you until you wash off. Fragrance free towels and sheets would be preferable. The doors slam loudly on their own. The TV volume did not seem to change much when I adjusted it. I could barely hear it at top volume.

Excellent location and the remodeled areas are modern, bright, and very nice. Front desk staff were all very friendly and pleasant.

Fitness center was in a small closet-like space under a stairwell. No treadmill (in Eugene!) and the equipment was so crammed in it was difficult to get to. Parking charge of $15 is excessive considering it is not gated or in any way protects cars that are parked for hotel use only. Back exit doors off of back section of hotel do not close/open properly and there were times it would not accept the key card.

Gorgeous hotel on the river. River view rooms are spacious and have balconies with lovely view of river and walking paths. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Didn’t eat in the restaurant but the bar is great- also with river view. Lobby is spacious a comfortable. Lots of nice places to sit and enjoy a latte from front desk coffee station.

Maid service was a bit spotty. Didn’t always take dirty dishes and towels. Was a little different each day.

Everything was top notch from the time of check-in during our stay to the time of our checkout was efficient. Also received a very friendly welcoming text message welcoming or stay and within the last minute request which we did have

we had brought our dog along and had notified the hotel that we would request an assign designated pet friendly room on check-in we did receive a room with no patio access but the location was perfect

I loved everything about my stay. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful. The other members of my family stayed at another hotel and paid twice as much as we did. Our room was aesthetically more pleasing. I would return to Eugene just to stay at the Valley River Inn.

The water could be turned up to be a little warmer. My shower wasn't cold but I would have liked it to be just a little warmer.

This is what a luxury hotel should be like. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was very spacious, and the shower was large and very nice. The room was very nice sized, actually quite large, and very clean. The staff wes very nice and awesome. They upgraded my room to a river view at no extra charge, which was very nice as we were celebrating my wifes birthday.

The pet fee and the deposit was one of the highest I have ever paid.

The front desk said they couldn’t reserve a ground floor room because I need to call back an hour later. It is not hard to take a message and do it in an hour. The women at the front desk looked very unhappy to be there. Also it has a restaurant that is inconveniently closed at check out time for like 30 min!!?!? Who wants to wait 30 in a lobby for brunch? Not me! Way to starve your guests! Also the snack area is unmanned and employees are irritated to take time from what they are doing to serve you! The family in front of me were unhappy with the service and no one wants to stand for 20 min to get crackers. It is even more of a pain with toddlers. Hospitality is not what comes to mind about getting food here!

Everything...seriously, we all were very happy with everythibg.

EXCEPT....2 of us had a waitress for breakfast Sunday AM that rolled her eyes when we asked to move to another table, and then again when she took the bill holder from the table and the credit card fell out. Another 2 had a cranky Sunday AM waitress as well. But on Saturday night, 1 of us haad a great staff experience in the bar.
