Room was spacious. Nice design throughout. Nice restaurant. Also, the maintenance people were very helpful with a project we had. We required help opening a package. The desk clerks for the most part were friendly as were the restaurant employees:)

Stale, old, $5.00 croissant at check in was not edible. Sassy, rude desk clerk didn’t want to hear about it from me. She was asking me “What do you want from me!?” I just laughed and told her it’s awesome… The next morning a different clerk made it all good:) She offered a coffee to make up for the bad, overpriced pastry. That was nice:)

I loved EVERYTHING about this hotel. The rooms were so modern, clean and had everything you needed. The staff was the up most professional service with warm smiles and great service. The restaurant on the property called Sweet Waters had outstanding food and cocktails. There was no need to leave the hotel but if you wanted to 1/2 a mile up are excellent restaurants, a big mall, the freeway entrance and so much more. We had a fabulous time here. They also have a beautiful pool to relax in. Lots of free parking and free wifi. Best part was receiving a text before check-In if we had any special request, we wanted to make sure we had a bathtub and they immediately accommodated this for free. 5 stars for sure! We are considering this place for our wedding venue. Can't wait to get back! Thank you to the entire staff for taking such great care of us!

Would like to see more benches to sit on in hallways. Signs to room #'s are a little confusing to read.

It’s very new and clean, and super spacious as well. I like how they separate the sink and toilet/shower make it more convenient for us when we’re travelling in a group of 3. We also got a G floor room where we get to park our car right in front of our room it’s super convenient. Also, we get to enjoy our Ramen in the “balcony” it was the most perfect morning ever to us! The hotel was also nice enough to let us check-out a little late as we arrived very late (like 12am) on our check-in day.

Quite a long walk through the hallway from lobby to our room, but we took the luggage trolley with us so it’s fine. Maybe also wipe the outdoor seats outside as well? As there were spider web at those corner.

Very well located. The room is clean, nice and ample; although the mattresses of the bed and sofa bed are NOT in their best shape anymore :( The bathroom is functional and has a comfortable size. It has a “closet”, drawers, safe box, hair dryer, garment steamer, and everything you could think of to be comfortable, while staying at the hotel. The Lobby is modern and beautiful. The common areas are nice and spacious. The restaurant has an amazing view to the Willamette River, although I haven’t had the chance to eat there because the kitchen closes at 9:00 pm during the week, and at 10:00 pm during the weekends, I heard that it is good though. I’m planing to have breakfast/brunch tomorrow. The staff at the restaurant were really nice last night, letting me know they were already closed 💓

Everything was very clean and well kept. It had one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in, in a long while. The staff were professional and very pleasant to converse with. The restaurant inside, Sweet Waters, was pleasant and quiet. The food was tasty and plentiful. The staff went out of their way to ensure that my requests were met. The hotel room was large and comfortable with a desk and a solid cushioned chair and a relaxing balcony with a table and two chairs. The bathroom was clean and had a roomy walk-in shower. The lobby was spacious and had a lodge like sitting area with fireplace, offering a lengthy wall of books. Of course, the young gentlemen I observed were working on their laptops and using their phones. All in all positive experience on my part. I will certainly find an excuse to return.

One of the wall chargers offered by the room between the beds did not work, and my phone was dead by morning. I used the one above the desk, and it was charged by the time I checked out.

The new decor is cleaner and more uplifting than the old decor. I liked that there is a real freezer in the mini refrigerator. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.

The sheets smell of a laundry fragrance that is annoying. The fragrance transfers to pajamas and hair so it is with you until you wash off. Fragrance free towels and sheets would be preferable. The doors slam loudly on their own. The TV volume did not seem to change much when I adjusted it. I could barely hear it at top volume.

Excellent location and the remodeled areas are modern, bright, and very nice. Front desk staff were all very friendly and pleasant.

Fitness center was in a small closet-like space under a stairwell. No treadmill (in Eugene!) and the equipment was so crammed in it was difficult to get to. Parking charge of $15 is excessive considering it is not gated or in any way protects cars that are parked for hotel use only. Back exit doors off of back section of hotel do not close/open properly and there were times it would not accept the key card.

Gorgeous hotel on the river. River view rooms are spacious and have balconies with lovely view of river and walking paths. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Didn’t eat in the restaurant but the bar is great- also with river view. Lobby is spacious a comfortable. Lots of nice places to sit and enjoy a latte from front desk coffee station.

Maid service was a bit spotty. Didn’t always take dirty dishes and towels. Was a little different each day.

Everything was top notch from the time of check-in during our stay to the time of our checkout was efficient. Also received a very friendly welcoming text message welcoming or stay and within the last minute request which we did have

we had brought our dog along and had notified the hotel that we would request an assign designated pet friendly room on check-in we did receive a room with no patio access but the location was perfect

I loved everything about my stay. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful. The other members of my family stayed at another hotel and paid twice as much as we did. Our room was aesthetically more pleasing. I would return to Eugene just to stay at the Valley River Inn.

The water could be turned up to be a little warmer. My shower wasn't cold but I would have liked it to be just a little warmer.
