The room was so cute - a nice tough of modern and vintage. It was also spacious! The spa bathtub was a nice touch after a long drive! Overall the location was great - within walking distance of restaurants, convenience stores, and even CVS! Also - the room keys were so great! Each staff member we interacted with were so polite and knowledgable!

The lack of parking was difficult - the lot next door had technical issues and since it's not hotel property there wasn't much they could do to help. We did have to find a lot a few blocks back, and with the narrow one way roads unloading our bags at the hotel and then parking wasn't really feasible (so we had to go park, and then carry everything).

Penn's View staff are really nice and helpful--from front desk to cleaning staff. The location is great and convenient to the L line. The room was also clean with a comfortable bed. I also was pleasantly surprised by the Panorama restaurant and wine bar. They had quite the selection of wines and exceeded my expectations. I also appreciated the coffee in the lobby every morning. Despite the busy location, my room was super quiet, too. I booked early and found it to be an economical choice and good value for the money as well.

I couldn't quite figure out the room temperature controls. Fortunately, it didn't really matter since the weather was quite cool during my stay, but it still felt a little stuffy inside my room. Lastly, I wish there had been a hot water pot or coffeemaker in the room. Would be nice to make my own coffee in the room before greeting the world. ;-)

Although I would prefer a full breakfast bar, the muffins and coffee were nice additions. We also found a nice restaurant for breakfast around the corner that we really liked. Staff was very nice. Room was quiet, which you don't always get in hotels.

Bed was a full size and small for 2 people, I believe we asked for a queen, but we will know for next time to confirm that. The view was not great on our side as it is only a parking lot, and rooftop access to lounge given the location would be a great addition and I believe something that is being worked on. Perhaps trying to work out a deal with the parking lot right near the premise would be a nice perk.

The historical location is close to all the sites which are easy to walk around. There is a Plash bus and metro station very close by which allows you to see the sights without having to walk too much. The room was very clean and very comfortable. There's complimentary coffee and muffins for breakfast. Which was good. Although there's a delightful breakfast/lunch cafe across the road that served wonderful coffee, tea etc and delicious sandwiches cakes and treats. The hotel had a fantastic restaurant. The staff member who checked us in gave us a 25% saving voucher which was brilliant. All the staff we met were friendly, helpful and very thoughtful.

There's a very busy motorway/highway running in front of the hotel so it's pretty noisy all the time if you have your window or balcony doors open otherwise for us it wasn't too bad. Although there is a wonderful view of the River and it's activities as well as the amazing bridge. At night it's all lit up so all looks beautiful The rooms around the back were fine but you didn't really get the views.

We loved our room and the size of it! The bathroom was nice, and we stayed in a room with the spa bath (the bath had jets). Everything was well stocked, and the staff had a crib ready in the room for our toddler. Everyone there was super nice and greeted us. The muffins at breakfast were ok, our son loved them. We loved having the train station right around the corner.

The building really wasn't stroller friendly. There were four steps to enter the building and our room was down a side hallway where we needed to go down four more steps and then up two to access it each time. We wish we'd known ahead of time that the building really wasn't accessible. We constantly had to lift the stroller + a 30lb one year old in / out.

The Penn's View Inn is our go-to hotel for our weekend getaways in Philadelphia. We love the Old World style and atmosphere in the hotel and the location in Old City is great for us. The staff is always exceedingly friendly and attentive to our needs. We enjoyed happy hour and dinner for the first time in the Panorama hotel restaurant, taking advantage of a generous 25% discount offered by the hotel. It was a very pleasant evening. The hotel no longer offers breakfast as they used to in years past, but they do put out coffee and muffins for guests in the lobby each morning. Highly recommend Penn's View Inn.

A beautiful gem of a hotel in a perfect location! We were a short walk away from many restaurants, stores, and coffee shops, 10 mins from Lincoln Financial Field, and 17 minutes from the airport. The staff was amazing and Sebastian was always there to greet or assist with a smile. The rooms were spacious, beautifully quaint, and meticulously cleaned - perfect for romantic getaways, peaceful stays, and just for fun trips. The morning muffins and coffee were homemade and scrumptious. Also, the wine bar and restaurant within the hotel was beautiful and served true italian dishes. You won't be disappointed!

We did not dislike anything.

Charming historic hotel with great service - my flight was severely delayed and I was at risk of a "no show" fee. The front desk was so helpful in ensuring that my arrival was smooth, even when I showed up exhausted. I appreciated the free coffee and muffins in the morning as I was pressed for time (given the late arrival of my plane). I hope on my next visit I will have more time to explore the neighborhood. My room was quite clean, in particular the bathroom. I liked the historic furnishings, which made me feel cozy.

The property was great; a beautiful lobby, beautiful restaurant attached. The wallpaper was fancy. The room was fantastic. Very comfortable and clean. Room felt homey and cozy. The fireplace was so nice to have, and it was actually pretty quiet. I really enjoyed the stay. It was extremely comfortable, very clean the staff of the hotel and restaurant were kind and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Parking wasn’t convenient but was able to find street parking not car away.

The staff was friendly, and the hotel was excellent. I somehow thought it would be bigger, but it met my expectations. The room was simple but had everything you need. I only stayed one night for a concert but the bed was really comfortable.

The hotel is across from a highway, so there was residual noise. I had earplugs, so it didn't bother me much, but it may be bothersome if you don't and you are a light sleeper. It's also at the bottom of the city, so a bit of a trek if you were to walk. I also was disappointed I didn't get to try the restaurant. It has fantastic reviews, but I found it was fully booked when I went down for dinner.
