Great breakfast and helpful staff.

The lifeguards spent most of their time looking at their phones and not on watching the swimmers. They should not even be allowed to have their phones with them while they are working. They also needed to be in charge of telling people when to go down on the water slides instead of people just going down whenever. These are big safety issues. I really hope this gets looked into. There are a lot of younger swimmers there. It would also be nice to have the waterpark open a little later; at least until 10. It’s an area where many families explore Mount Rushmore and other nearby attraction attractions and by the time we get back the waterpark is already closed.

Had an awesome stay here at the La Quinta by Wyndham Rapid City! Property was in a great location, was very clean, had awesome staff support, comfortable beds, and the breakfast team (Jane and Keith) was awesome! They were there every morning ensuring that ALL guests had ample quantities of breakfast and kept the area spotless! They are a great asset of La Quinta!

I would like to see more variety with breakfast. But, what was provided was ample.

The water park because my kid loves to swim

The breakfast could have been more. There wasn't much fruit and itbwas the same thing every day. Also the hotel boasts to be family froendly, yet the waterpark closed at 9pm every night which, in my opinion, was too early. Most hotels keep their pools open until at least 10pm, especially on the weekends when kids are more likely to be awake. We were on the first floor and heard kids running and banging above us well past 1030pm.

Staff at front desk was great! Breakfast was good. Although we did not use the water park I think it's great that it was included in the room costs.

Not a big deal but we didn't have any toilet paper in our bathroom - none! We had to go to the front desk to get some. The girl at the front desk was the only person checking people on a Friday beginning a holiday weekend. Kudos to her but she needed help.

The breakfast was good but Monday morning there was not breakfast at 6:00 a.m. The place was very clean and the people for the most part where friendly. This has been the best place we have stayed at in a while. The housekeepers did an excellent job at cleaning.

The bed was comfortable and the room spacious. I love the products provided in the shower.. Breakfast was ok.

We had no idea that the hotel was part of an indoor water park . Since we booked on line while driving I didn’t see anywhere it was mentioned. Soo lots of loud kids having fun. My husband and I were not prepared for that after driving all day . Great place for families with kids just not us .

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was near the water park and Perkins.

Friday night our stay was somewhat irritating because the kids that were running wild thru the halls and in their room next door. I call the front desk. After listening to it for nearly an hour, it got very quiet after reporting the disturbance to front desk.

Great location. It was close to all the places we wanted to see in South Dakota. My kids had a great time in the waterpark.

The first night was so busy that there was no hot water to take a shower. Our refrigerator wasn't working when we got there but was replaced the next morning.

It was clean, attractive and well designed

Finding the access road was really hard for us. The signage for the service road was hard to see in the dark. We drove by the hotel while on the freeway, but couldn’t understand how to get there. It gets REALLY dark in Rapid City when the sun Goes down ….? No light pollution in the sky? We really struggled .

The property is in a convenient location, and is beautiful, very modern and clean. The beds were inviting and comfortable. There was a big TV and clean well laid out bathroom. The fitness room is open 24 hours and has lots of options. The indoor water park looked amazing although we arrived to late to enjoy it. They welcomed our pet kindly The value on a Sunday night was outstanding, even with the resort fee. The front desk staff was the most courteous of all our stays this road trip. Our favorite stay of the week!

The only thing we didn’t love was the limited breakfast. It also closed earlier than at most hotels and when we got down there just before 9, they were already out of pancake batter. The seating area is nice though and it was a comfortable setting. I assume the breakfast closes earlier here since it is adjacent to the water park and they likely have to prepare to serve the park goers.
