even though the pool wasn’t open it looked nice and the little dog park even though we didn’t have our pups along. the bar and lounge area was nice, the smell of the hotel was fragrant maybe a little too much for me but i get migraines BUT it was nice having that scent the light the hotel.

our room specifically i think the shower needs some updating. the faucet was turned so i turned it back to straight. after running the water realized why it was turned. the pressure valve thing you pull up for the shower head doesn’t work, so water goes into everywhere from the faucet. hence the turning so the water isn’t flowing out of the tub into the bathroom

we always love staying here. it’s a nice hotel, comfortable and always clean. it’s extremely convenient for us to leave our vehicle and shuttle to the airport

they are under construction which you can tell and the signs where there (literally) however when we got into our room all the drawers were opened, cabinet doors etc as if the cleaning person or whomever hadn’t finished? nothing bad per say but was just odd walking into that

THE REVIEW FOR UPCOMING PEOPLE!! definitely was worried about staying here when reading the most recent reviews. but it was good. the property has some age on her & of course with age you see certain things that need updating however, We checked in Friday 3/17 about 730pm and checked and we had HOT WATER. for the most part it was clean. The bathtub top shine coat needed to be redone (due to age) so you could see imperfections but it was clean. Stairwell could use some cleaning. That is it. the room was clean the sheets were clean the beds are very soft but very comfortable. water pressure and temperature were great. I was able to take a very long shower one in the morning and I also took one before going out in the evening. We were going downtown to the bars. It only took about 15 minutes to get there via a Lyft, which was about 12 bucks. The staff wasn’t overly friendly but they were definitely not rude as the previous review. there’s a lounge and small restaurant downstairs that does made to order breakfast that you can charge to your room or pay for there and food was good. there is a cool little art gallery downstairs. live music on Friday and Saturday. I can say after reading the reviews on this hotel. I was very worried about staying here now that I’ve checked out. I will absolutely stay here again the next time I’m in Nashville.

elevator is slow.

We’ve stayed at the Hotel Preston 3 times for a reason.. we love the location and the overall facility. We love the on-site bar/restaurant. We enjoy the food and drinks every time we come by to stay. The beds are so big and extremely comfortable. And I loved how I put a note on my booking reservation and that they took note of it. They also gave us complimentary champagne with two glasses. It was a really nice gesture!

Although we love the Preston so much, there are a few things that we feel could be much better. To start off, the wifi is very poor. The TV’s take some time to start working with the provided cable. The bedrooms are very spacious but the bathrooms are so small. And the water did not get hot during my shower, sadly.

The room was nice, and the design was quite interesting. For instance, the room door and bathroom sink are metal, which is not a common thing to see in hotels, I personally liked it. I ordered food delivery, the elevator requires a room key to operate, but I find it quite convenient to go downstairs and pick them up since rooms are not too far from elevators. Check-out was fast with just dropping the key and go.

The only thing to complain about was that it took me half an hour to wait to be checked in. The front desk was manned by only 1 staff even when the line went all the way to the door.

Reception was very helpfull. Very good and friendly service. Music! Using the shuttle bus means that the hotel is basically very close to downtown Nashville. (appr. 20min)

Hotel good have better communicated that there was a shuttle service to downtown Nashville. We found out by accident while speaking with the frontdesk lady. She was so good and friendly! (June 3rd, evening shift). Parking downtown Nashville is very (!) expensive. Music could have been extended so people on the bar could enjoy it longer (ended at 21:00)...both june 3rd and 4th.

Over the past 18 months, I have been traveling to Nashville to see the Cardiology Team at Vanderbilt every two months. During my last trip, I met a colleague for dinner at Hotel Preston - he was a guest at that time. His room was very comfortable, and clean. We had a good meal. So I stayed at Hotel Preston during my last four nights in Nashville. The facilities were very well maintained; the staff knowledgeable and friendly; and I appreciated the security measures for the guest rooms. I am very pleased with my switch to Hotel Preston. Since I have to see the Vanderbilt doctors, I know that I will be able to relax before and after.

Valet parking would be something I would like.

the entire room was stunning and my friend liked the safe. I loved the room I was in it had an amazing view. I love the unbotherness when I came to checking out. the bed was so comfortable soft yet firm same for the pillows. the location was difficult to find at first via gps but once you got it you like the spot they picked. great elevator security because it was a little complicated.

the bathrooms didn’t match the style of the room and could have been cleaner for me, but I will say the water stayed hot and I did love that. and there was no microwave. I get being high end and a bar and grill down stairs but the need for a microwave I believe is essential when staying in any hotel.

The food was superb (exceptional hummus as was the tortellini with shrimp). And the ambience was relaxed (we were not there when live music was being performed). The rooms were quiet, even though we were near the airport and the freeway. It was very convenient using the hotel shuttle bus to and from the airport. We were pleasantly surprised by the art exhibit (stunning photography) in the lower lobby.

The bathroom was equipped with ADA compatible handle bars, however the bathtub was not convenient for getting in and out--so I did not use the shower during my stay.,

I loved the way the hotel looked on the inside, I’m used to big chain hotels (Best Western, Marriott, etc) so to see a different but welcoming layout was amazing. The beds were soft enough and the windows were big, nice plus for me. it also smelled nice throughout the hotel, super affordable and the staff were polite. The absolute best part was the fact that we didn’t come until waaaay late at night and Hayden was so amazing, still let us check in and gave us a buggy from the back room they had put up. After 9+ hours of driving, it was such a treat to have a staff member like Hayden get us into our room. Will definitely come back when we’re Nashville next time!
