Location and atmosphere.

MAXWELL’s, customer service was good. Once we received it. Food was not that great and the drinks were watered down, but overall with the little work, it would be a great place.

The location is perfect for my trip. Inside the hotel looks like a 5 star 🌟 hotel. Outside area very nice, cozy lounge area. Staff was 100 with a smile, very kind. I will definitely return to stay. I hope the tub is replace or painted. I enjoyed my stay.

Furniture in room needs updating. Stains in sitting chair. Bathtub needs painting or replace due to stains in tub. The room doors need to be replaced (old) peeling.

Front desk staff was amazing! We noticed a coffee carafe in the lobby and looked forward to having coffee available since we are early risers. We were very excited about having MAXWELL HOUSE COFFEE AT THE MAXWELL HOUSE HOTEL! Sadly, we were disappointed to discover it was empty until after 730am. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable! Nice tv and fridge. A/C didn't work well at all. We had to sleep with no covers or sheet. The bathroom was stocked and had nice pressure in the shower with lots of hot water! The shuttle service was very appreciated! The van and driver was excellent!

AC wasn't working properly. It wasn't blowing cold at all. Lack of availability of coffee. Being a hotel with conferences and meeting rooms, having coffee available in lobby earlier would be very appreciated!

The breakfast at the hotel was on of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had, and it wasn't very expensive for all of the options available! I would definitely say that the breakfast is more than worth it for visitors, as you would definitely pay more anywhere in Nashville.

When I moved to Nashville, I had heard so much about the Maxwell House hotel, and I have always wanted to stay there. However, so much change has happened in Nashville over the last 15 years as trips to Broadway have taken off, and people aren't necessarily wanting to stay a little farther away. This has no doubt cut into the hotel's margins over time, as the facilities feel just a touch outdated and struggling to keep up with other hotels that can charge more for their proximity to downtown. That said, this hotel was great for the weekend I had planned, and I would go back if I needed to be near nobro again.

Only thing which marred the visit, outside hotels control, walked to 7eleven across the main road. Had to use the button to request crossing. That was fine. Then to get back across the same road I discovered NN button to request traffic stop. Waited and waited, but lights never cycled for me. Had to phone someone to come down and press button, on hotel side of road so I could cross. NOT HOTELS FAULT. I am sure in a few days might see funny side, but at time it was raining, so not so funny. Otherwise great.

Hotel seemed clean and the staff was friendly and courteous. We only stayed 1 night, we were waiting for our broken car to be fixed so we could resume our trip.

Somewhat weird location that made it difficult to walk to local shops and fast food places. You're only a few hundred feet away, but you have to go all the around to access shops and restaurants behind the hotel.

Nice, convenient little gym, good coffee available through the day, clean room with decent shower. Free wi-fi works well, though you have to reconnect every day. Downtown shuttle is a nice thing to have.

Breakfast options very limited. If you're vegan/gluten free, your only options are some fruits, coffee and tea.

The breakfast was nice. The coffee is delicious. The shuttle was very helpful. The staff was friendly and willing to help. Check in and check out were efficient. Workout gym and pool looked good but we did not have time to utilize them as much as we wanted.

Some guests were rude about getting on the shuttle and cutting in front of others who had been waiting. We also would have liked more towels for the room.

I liked how cozy the room was as it was a little dated but clean and neat. I liked that there were drawers, a small sofa, and a desk, along with a tea/coffee maker and a little fridge.

The way the hotel doors are situated as you can hear the door nearest to you very clearly as if they're coming into your room. The person in the room near our room also had a bad night the first day we were there as she was screaming/arguing along the hallway and slammed her door while we were trying to sleep.

We loved that the staff was super friendly and courteous, the location was close to downtown with a complimentary shuttle running to the downtown area during the day/evening, and loved that the hotel is pet friendly with a very reasonable pet policy, as we prefer to bring our dogs along. The hotel is a really good value for the money.

Likely because of the pet friendliness of the hotel, there is some tradeoff with cleanliness but only with regards to the carpets. The rooms and hotel areas were clean as they can be, so we felt perfectly comfortable, but the carpet had older stains in the room and high traffic common areas of the hotel in some places, so if you expect pristine cleanliness coupled with the pet friendliness, this is not it (but I do want to note that it isn't extensive or wasn't gross, hence we didn't have an issue with it). Overall, a really good value for the money, we felt comfortable and it met our needs.
