Great Hampton inn! Clean, comfortable, great sleep, but who doesn’t in a Hampton bed? We enjoyed our stay, close to everything we needed! Great fresh food restaurants right there, 2 of them right across the street. Choice of covered or regular parking!

The only thing that bothered me were how lazy and unfriendly the front desk people were, on their phones, no hellos or welcomes, I one was sleeping. One young woman was there at night, who was friendly and helpful.

The staff were absolutely wonderful! I thought I had left my jewelry and the person at the front desk even offered to go through the garbage!!! Incredibly kind and thoughtful AND when I asked who I should write to let his supervisors know, he said not to bother "it is all part of my job...and I am glad to help you".

Everyone here was so nice and welcoming. I had to relocate here after a bad AirBnB experience and they upgraded me to a suite. Comfy beds, clean rooms, good hot tub/pool area, and decent breakfast. Covered parking was a great bonus.

Just a bit expensive due to the location but that was canceled out with the upgrade for me. Same price for a smaller/non-suite room would have felt expensive.

We chose this property due to proximity to a friends' house and didn't really explore SLC. The hotel had everything we needed, the room was comfortable, the kids enjoyed the pool and I enjoyed working by the fireplace in the lobby. Great, affordable place and we would happily stay here again.

I liked the location and I liked the the rooftop patio! The bed was comfortable. The staff members were nice and helpful.

The bathroom was a little dated and not super clean. The towels are very thin and not soft.

Staff very accommodating and kind.

Breakfast was not healthy except maybe the eggs. Sausage waffles, carbs and sugar and tons of salt. Sugary flavored yoghurt. And only fruit flavored tea and herb tea - no standard tea bags.

Check in clerk was kind enough to reduce my Booking.com rate by $20 when I told him my purpose in town was to go to the Huntsman Cancer Instituted for treatment the following day. Excellent service !!!

The staff was awesome (the front desk clerk was exceptional, very friendly and helpful.) The room was nice. There is plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. We parked the car, walked next door for dinner and across the street for a drink. There is a convenience store next door and a grocery store across the street. The views of the city are very nice from the patio.

If you are looking for entertainment options that are nearby you won't find anything. The University of Utah is just a few miles away and the road in front of the hotel is very busy during rush hour (8-9am, 4:30-5:30pm.)

Very, very helpful staff in dealing with a refund, as we could not make it to Utah with car troubles. Shout to Rick at the front desk, who took all of the calls and e-mails like a true professional!

We could not make it to Salt Lake and experience the hotel or the area.

This is a great choice if you're choosing a place in close proximity to the U of U. There's a hotel that's closer but it doesn't have any dining/shopping option nearby. I like being able to walk across the street to the shopping and restaurant area. Very nice view of the Salt Lake Valley.

You can hear heavy traffic in the morning.
