I had a great experience at the Holiday Inn Express. After a long day of travel and a flight delay, arriving to a clean, presentable room that had everything I needed was a huge relief. The front desk associate was absolutely amazing—attentive, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout my stay. The location felt safe and was very convenient. It’s not far from the D.C. tourist spots, especially if you take advantage of the Metro system. If you're renting a car, this hotel is a smart choice—the on-site parking is dramatically cheaper than hotels closer to D.C., where parking can cost over $50 a night. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations. If I return to the area, this will definitely be my go-to place to stay!

Who ever made the decision to buy refrigerators without freezers made a huge mistake. My wife, like many other people, travel with medication that must be refrigerated at all times. This is a pretty basic thing for vacationers, people traveling with children, and families who use coolers for food and beverages when traveling. Not being able to refreeze our ice packs was a huge inconvenience. Although the staff did a great job making arrangements to handle this situation, who ever made the decision at corporate needs a talking to. You must put yourself in the shoes of the traveler. Cost savings is important but common sense is a must.

The staff was super kind, the room was far better than other rooms I've stayed in that cost double the price. Bedroom plus bathroom plus kitchen plus sitting room. all in a standard room. As far as the room goes, couldn't ask for better. We liked it so much we decided to extend our stay and the staff was super helpful with that. Speaking of which, the staff was extremely friendly.

Literally the only thing that was annoying was one of the elevator call buttons was broken (so you had a to walk three feet to the other one). The lobby wasn't super fancy or anything but lets be honest, if you're looking at a holiday inn, you don't care about a fancy lobby. The room is was what matters and that was perfection.

The Front Desk check-in process is very easy. Karla checked me in and she was very nice awesome customer service and greeted me with a warm welcome and smile. The room was comfortable Bed comfortable, slept well The room was somewhat clean, with a washcloth leftover shower from the previous guest but the hotel took care of this right away. Morning breakfast ok to get you by

This hotel was quite satisfactory. Provided convenient access to National Harbor's convention center across the river.

When we arrived for breakfast 20 minutes before end-of-serving time, there were no plates, 2 sausage patties, and no second hot food beyond eggs. The oatmeal pot had been scraped to the bottom and the 1-minute pancake maker was non-operational, with no sign indicating this. Initially, the server, who was busy cleaning up pots in the back, was unwilling to bring out any other food. The front desk did persuade her to bring out something more. She brought out more eggs, which was the one hot food not already missing.

LONG POST ALERT : so on 2/10 upon arriving I was greeted by Matt with a big bright smile with welcoming energy. We giggled from the moment I walked through the doors all while he mutiltaked checking me into my beautiful spacious king suite. I loved how everything was clean , neatly organized and comfortable. Everything was so well prepared for a weekend away from home to celebrate my birthday so much that I ended up adding additional stays to what was just supposed to overnight … Waking up Monday morning I headed to the lobby where I met Ms. Debra who was apart of the hospitality group serving a warm comforting breakfast Ms.Debra’s mannerism and southern comfort energy made me feel like a child all over again although the breakfast was already prepared it was her nurturing energy that had me feeling like I was sitting directly at my grandmothers kitchen table . Later on that day I met Axel and Courtney at the front desk who were added to my list of amazing people and Lastly as my trip was coming to an end I decided one more day couldn’t hurt so I called down to the front desk Tuesday morning and Daisy was on the other end she was so patient with hearing my reasoning and assured me that staying another night was no problem at all … Moral of the story if you thinking of staying anywhere else look no more because the HOILDAY INN WILL exceed your expectations and have you NEVER wanting to leave ... truly a HOME away from HOME THANK YOU MATT Ms. DEBRA ,Axel ,Courtney. Daisy and everyone who contributed to such an AMAZING stay I pray for many blessings and wish to see you all again in the future days to come …

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was stocked with plenty of towels. I loved the bottles of Dove soap, body wash, hand soap, and lotion. The breakfast buffet was delicious with plenty of variety. The kitchen staff were very efficient and friendly. Our stay was awesome!

The staff was great!!

The lady doing breakfast was by herself, and when situations like this happen everyone needs her at the same time and it be hard on worker. I saw this lady at 6am for breakfast and I went to my family function and returned around 10:30pm this lady was still working taking trash out.

Very clean. Nice staff. Updated nice rooms. Breakfast was very good great coffee.

The faucet in the bathroom was coming out like a sprinkler. There was a connecting room door that wasn’t sound proof. We could clearly hear them talking through the door. The doors need to be changed to soundproof type.

Breakfast was amazing, the staff was nice and accommodating. The location was good, close to National Harbor.

I didn't like how overpriced the items in the store was. The elevator didn't work on the first floor, which was accessible by the back parking lot of the hotel. The stairs area needed mopped as well.
