While the furnishings are a bit dated the room, bathroom, and kitchen area were all very clean. Large rooms, comfortable beds.

The appliances, especially the fridge, were dated and even a bit rusty. The in-room coffee pot was not made for the single serve coffee packets provided. The office area has an unpleasant smell. I've stayed here several times and there is always an unpleasant smell, that I can't descibe, when you walk into the check in area. Seems strange given the rooms are clean and tidy.

Large clean suite. Quiet and restful

We went to check in at 2:45 and were told that the sheets still had 1/2 hour in the dryer. We were given a key to the room. We sat outside and watched the room door and waited for someone to come to get the room ready. 1 hour later we checked in the room and all was fine. So no one ever came in with the sheets the room was ready all along. We were irritated. We had driven a long way and just wanted to relax.

The kitchen was a good asset although we only used the microwave and refrigerator/freezer for this leisure stay. Shore Stay Suites hotel is pet friendly which made our stay more relaxing to have our fur baby with us. A generous room size with all the amenities of home was quite comfortable. An added plus was that the staff were friendly and welcoming to us. We will definitely visit again!

The ONLY thing we didn't like was that there wasn't a window shade in the kitchen to block the nearby road's headlights through the night.

Full size refrigerator and a stove. Near Cape Charles. We ate at the Shanty, great hamburger. Locks on door is an individual code, no keys. Coffee maker in room. Towels were like new. Air conditioner worked as it should. Right on route 13

Parking lot got a little tight with vehicles trailering boats. No breakfast. How do you check out without keys? Or with no one working the counter???? Left at 8:06 no one there?

I liked the big open room with the windows at each end--especially the kitchen window looking out on the field. I liked the fields surrounding the property. Peaceful place. I felt safe. Nice size bathroom and linens were ample. The bathroom was cleaned when I was for the event I came to Cape Charles for and the trash taken out. My sister and her family were in the rooms just above me -- that was unplanned but very nice! I needed an iron and ironing board to iron my clothes for the wedding I was attending. I was attending and they were there and worked fine! There was a toaster and kitchen and big fridge although I didn't use so much.

There was no smoking in the room but it seemed some of the clients smoked outside near the building. That was a surprise as I'm not used to cigarette smoke. Could hear doors closing and someone seemed to be moving furniture above me. I couldn't get the blinds in the front of the room closed all the way and the lights outside on the veranda made it kind of bright inside. I guess they made the building safer though.

Well maintained, quiet and peaceful environment, very clean, and rooms are spacious with full size kitchen facilities. Exceptional lodging for the value. Very accommodating for late arrivals.

Would have enjoyed having a couple of tea bags and coffee packs to go along with the creamers and sugar packs in the room. Coffee and tea were available in the office though

Pleasantly surprised based on our stay @ 7 months ago! Suggestions from my last visit to refresh the exterior and interior of the refrigerator with enamel paint were followed. It is amazing what a clean fresh coat of paint can do to brighten a space. I chose to try the Shore Stay one more time instead of staying miles away on this unplanned trip back to the Eastern shore, The Wi-Fi was included in the room rate. The USB hub on the night stand was a great for overnight phone charging. The bed was comfy, but a bit high. I need a step. The headboard is beautiful solid dark wood. It would benefit from a cushioned area for a softer lay. We used the pillows from the 2nd bed The floors have new wood and ceramic tile. No fish and no smoking policies are greatly appreciated. There was a working iron and ironing board in the room this trip. They have upgraded the room access to a keyless entry system.

The TV/cable connection are new, but in relation to the size of the room the TV screen is much too small. The chairs at the dinner table are cute and sturdy but not comfortable for sitting. The wicker chair is also cute and sturdy but too low if you are more than 5'2". A taller set of comfortable chairs or a love seat would be a nice touch. Wishlist - a stand to hold open a suit case would be helpful.

The location was perfect for our trip. The hotel was nice and the room was large and clean. The bed was comfortable, though there was a hole in one part of the spread.

The room was a suite and we were told there would be dishes, etc. in the kitchen. There were a few random plates, etc, however, there was only one pan which was in terrible condition. There seemed to be birds nesting in the rafters outside our room. They kept me awake during the night the second night we were there.

This was such a nice little find! So close to the town. Nice and quiet. Relaxing. And the accommodations were amazing. Nice big room with a full kitchen. I can’t wait to come back next year!

TV could have been a little bigger compared to the size of the room and distance from the bed but not a big deal at all.

We have stayed at Shore Stay at least 16 times. It is a halfway point on our trip from CT to SC and back again. The refrigerator and freezer are needed for my medicines. The beds are comfortable, and it has mostly been quiet for a good night's sleep

all was well.
