Loved the location across from beach and close, but not too close, to I-5. Room had distant mountain view. The one bedroom was large, homey, warm and comfortable. Kitchen was great. Bathroom was large and very clean. Very quiet and relaxed atmosphere on the whole. The Club House was great, offering a place for recreation, viewing the water/beach, very cozy and warm. All staff were friendly, helpful, and readily available. It was snowing and wet, but staff kept everything in the lobby clean, dry and safe. Handicapped parking was close by and appreciated. We wished for a longer stay!

Wished for water/beach view, but were told all 1-bedrooms are on back side of property. Firm, king bed was not as comfortable as we'd like, but we're used to "Comfort Firm."

Beautiful view of bay & beach as well as the Cascade mountains from our penthouse 2 bdrm/2 bath condo. Great location-restaurants on site & with in walking distance.

The kitchen was big and we expected it to be stocked with pots, pans, etc. The items in the kitchen didn't even include a frying pan. There was a tiny salt & pepper - like the individual ones in a picnic set - no other spices, no oil, no sugar, no staples at all. As mentioned, no frying pan, just a small pot & a small cookie sheet. From the photos of the size of the kitchen, we expected to be able to prepare a decent breakfast at least, but weren't able to at all. Very disappointed in that.

Staff were very helpful and efficient. Great value for our money. Lots of free parking. Lots of room in our suite. Beds very comfortable. View from the top deck, Outstanding!

The manager of the restaurant attached to the Raintree in Blaine. Not a very nice person. My friend found a piece of broken oyster shell in her omlette. She had bit down on it while eating. We mentioned it to the manager. There was no apology and no discount off her order. His answer was,,, Well you finished it, didn't you? We will never go back there again. We did let the front desk at RAintree know, she was very apologetic but informed us there was no connection between that restaurant and the hotel. The restaurant also adds 2.9% on your order if paying with credit card. We were not aware of this until we were billed. Who carries cash anymore???

The apartment was so spacious and it had everything we needed. Full kitchen with great utensils.

Only one very small thing - the lighting was quite dim everywhere - particularly in the kitchen. There were no uncounter lights so when we were cooking we were always working in our own light. This would be a simple and much appreciated upgrade.

Great location on the beach front with a beautiful view of the wooded valley for the rear-facing units. Very close to dining, cafe, and a liquor store all in walking distance with the general market a nice short stroll away. The location is stellar! Birds singing and chirping at all hours of the day. If you are an early riser the beach and woods and trail behind the resort are so peaceful and beautiful in the early morning. The one bed unit was very clean and spacious. All the amenities were very well maintained. There's a rooftop patio with an amazing view, heated pool, hot tub, and club room on the top level. We stayed for our 5 year dating anniversary and the one year countdown to our wedding and they provided us with a lovely little gift basket of snacks and goodies and a personalized card! It was very sweet! All the staff were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Jeanie in particular was absolutely wonderful! We would definitely go again!

The couch is not the comfiest to relax on. It was a pull out bed couch and it wasn't comfortable either way you lounged. Small detail as the main bed was extremely comfortable! The local business map provided was a bit hard to read and could use some editing & reviewing for spelling and layout, but we used it with the Blaine map & pamphlet from the maps section in the lobby and it was helpful. We did need to borrow a corkscrew from the concierge as we could not find one in our kitchen. Very small things in an overall wonderful stay.

We stayed here for our wedding that was taking place at the Semiahmoo State Park. First of all, the location was excellent. We loved that this property was right next to the water. Second, the staff especially Jeanne, we’re so kind and helpful. My parents had a last minute chance of plans and wanted to stay at the same property as us. She gave us the instructions to do so as this property does not do reservations in person. A room that had a better view from ours was available and we were able to move over to that room and my parents took our original room. She was so accommodating and so friendly. We truly loved our stay and would highly recommend this place.

Great location, the beach and the walking trail is just across the road. Walkable distance to several restaurants. Size of the apartment is big. Very clean and quiet. Very nice to have in room washer and dryer. Front desk ladies are very pleasant and helpful.

Wish an air conditioner is available in the bedroom. There are ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom which are nice. But in hot day/night, I will say having the ac would be good.

i love the location. And the layout of the rooms is good and has just about everything one needs. some units have good views. the staff were extremely helpful and responsive.

I don’t like that there is no way to reserve or guarantee a particular room (with water view vs eastern view). and I really don’t like the noisy mechanical equipment on the south side of the building that runs 24/7. fortunately the staff went out of their way to move us to a quieter unit after the first night. (I am especially sensitive to mechanical sounds. maybe other people wouldn’t mind it).

Our family has enjoyed family vacations at the Sandcastle for many years. We enjoy the generous sized accommodations the location by the water the swimming pool and the proximity to Seattle that makes the week end possible.

Some members of our family had great difficulty accessing the wifi network.

Our room #216 is above restaurant roof and when it’s raining downspouts making a lot of noise, impossible to sleep. I had to put something soft like a folded hand towel on the bottom of the spout to reduce noise. There is three of them and I can reach only one of them from the balcony. It wasn’t pleasant task. I removed towel in the morning. Do something about it please!!!
