Beautiful location and parking is ample. Beds were comfortable and it was nice to be able to cook if we wanted. Ice machine down the hall with snacks. Hard to find a coffee stand open in Ocean Shores so they had a fully stocked snack and drink machine that had coffee drinks in them. Loved that! The units are owned by condo owners and we’re clean. So each unit is decorated differently. Ours was decorated very nice! Beach theme and pretty.

Overall, I can’t really think of anything that I didn’t like, we have stayed here at the Canterbury many times over the years ( in different condos also) and have had wonderful vacations.

We were welcomed by friendly staff and loved the crab outside and the mid-century modern look of the building! We rented a one bedroom suite. It was dog friendly but we did not bring a dog. The room was clean, well decorated and smelled great for being pet friendly! It had all the dishes and anything you could need in the kitchen. We had fun renting old movies too. The staff was great as was the hot tub. We will for sure be back!

The pool was very cold but it is chilly outside. The water pressure in the shower was pretty weak, but overall, no biggie!

Overall the room was great for our family. The separate bedrooms and living room allowed our youngest to take normal naps while everyone else could still be in the other part of the room. With the kitchen it allowed us to have more meals at the room and/or order food in. Location and access to the beach was very nice.

We did have some issues with the internet and not being able to access some of the apps on the smart tv (netflix). Overall the pool was nice, but my kids didn't like that the hot tub was only for those 14 years or older. Even no one else was in the pool area, they weren't allowed.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Canterbury Inn in Ocean Shore, WA, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality that made me feel right at home. At that first step inside the lobby, a wonderful scent fills the air of cleanliness and pride. You can just tell how much the staff and owners care about this establishment built in 1966 and their drive to provide patrons the best possible ocean side experience! The rooms were impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, exuding a cozy yet elegant charm. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, from the plush bedding to the tasteful furnishings. It was nice to have separate areas in the room for our family to mingle given the common area with dining room and kitchen on one side and the bedroom with 2 queen beds on the other side joined with a small hallway or foyer. It was clear in the room as well that the staff takes immense pride in maintaining a high standard of comfort and aesthetics not to mention the cute charm the private owners instill into the room with furniture choices. What stood out the most, however, was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. Whether it was providing local recommendations, accommodating special requests, or simply offering a friendly smile, they consistently exceeded my expectations. They even provided a doggie bowl welcome on our kitchen counter for our sweet Jack Russell! Their dedication to guest satisfaction was truly remarkable! The Canterbury Inn also boasts a serene and picturesque location near the beach, providing a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The lush sand dune gardens and inviting common areas were perfect for relaxing and unwinding as well as a few deer visitors each day. In summary, my stay at the Canterbury Inn was nothing short of extraordinary.

Nothing to the fault of the property however the weather did not cooperate with us for our normal beach visit to enjoy playing in the sand with our boys. That being said, the town of Ocean Shores matched with our stay at the Canterbury Inn made up for the rain and made our stay more enjoyable with visits to the indoor pool at the Inn provided too. The cool weather made the room comfortable as well since it does not have an A/C but we knew this going in. The Canterbury also provides a box fan to help circulate air throughout the room which does not take long to remove any stuffiness and makes it very comfortable.

The room as spacious and equipped with a refrigerator and microwave. The king size bed was very comfortable. I often get back pain from hotel beds but not this one. There were lots of drawers to unpack had we chosen to do so.

It would have been nice to have hooks in the bathroom. The room is small with limited space to place items when you shower, so I would have hung my items on hooks. We had some trouble getting the TV to work, but the front desk came to our room and fixed it.

Pet friendly rooms are clean and cater to the pet. They provide everything you need for your fur babies except food, I'm impressed 👍 I have never been to a pet friendly place like this, usually the furniture is stained and you're afraid to sit down, although we no longer have a pet, I will totally be back with or without a pet and I fully recommend if you're ever in ocean shores WA

Pillows were too flat But not a deterrent, next time I'll bring my pillow. 😁

Thematic decor, nicely put together. Comfy furniture, great personal spa tub. I love there are not limited hours for tub jets... Wish I could have stayed longer. Loved the USB port on the alarm clock so I could play music and charge my device at the same time.

The room was lovely, however since it was on the parking lot side, it felt very exposed with curtains open, not only to parking patrons but to the building windows as well... And then it was very dark with them closed. Perhaps add sheer curtains under the black-out drapes, so we can enjoy natural light and privacy during the day?

The Canterbury Inn is a beautiful peppery and well taken care of. There are 45 individual units that are owned by 43 different that are rented out. Each room is decorated slightly differently based on the owners added touch. We had a bottom room and dog friendly (even though we didn’t bring our dog) BUT it is nice to know for longer stays in the future. Also, having a family it was so amazing to have a full functioning kitchen. The indoor pool was a must for our little ones, it was clean and everyone who was in the pool was respectful! The green grass behind the hotel was an awesome place to walk/run, play (we brought bubbles) and just enjoy the fresh air!! Thank you for an amazing quick stay.

We tried to access the beach from the hotel via labeled trail to beach and it was not accessible. There was extreme mud, big pools of water to big to leap over. I was under the impression that the beach was easily accessible and it wasn’t. So we ended up going to a drive and entering via road to beach. I read this isn’t Canterbury’s responsibility, but the city of ocean shores to take care of this, I just felt the easy beach access was not easy.

EVERYTHING! This is one of the nicest places I have ever stayed at, with a surprisingly affordable price! The room was more like a mini condo. In addition to the bedroom with 2 very comfortable Queen beds, nice dresser, and a t.v., nice sized bathroom. It also had a full kitchen with all standard appliances, including pots and pans, a good-sized living room with a very comfortable sofa bed, 2 winged back chairs, coffee table and end tables, a fireplace and a full sized balcony! It was so wonderfully decorated as well! VERY CLEAN! The lobby was also very clean and tastefully decorated. There was a second lobby for hotel guests to use that had 2 comfortable winged back chairs, an end table and a HUGE flat screen t.v. In that room there was an office syle water coolers with a choice of hot/cold water. Staff was excellent!! And the hotel had a path to the Beach as well! Found a Pearl on the Beach, and it was this place.

There was not a thing to dislike!!

It was like a little home away from home. It was perfect.

They thought of everything in the room we stayed in. All we needed was us and a couple of good groceries if we wanted them. Eating our breakfast on the balcony and drinking my coffee was priceless. Plus, we got so many great pictures of the sunset from the balcony as well. Beautiful!
