Ease of check in, cozy, unique, not modern and updated, amenities like right next to the city and unique Seattle "things! Staff was welcoming and kept me on the second level so I didnt have to carry my bags to the top floor. Personable, helpful, courteous staff. Making jokes and making it feel like friends or colleagues rather than sterile, unhelpful experience. Customer service! Stylish rooms, and I was fortunate to have just returned from a vacation and was tired. This was the tail end of my vacation.

Um, maybe was a little noisy in the evening but overall pretty calm for its location. And had vending machines and in room convenient coffee and tea. More television channels and the rooms were not the absolute cleanest as they seemed to accumulate dust and debris if you looked closely.

Check in was super easy and extremely accommodating, a train delay left us exhausted and just wanting to change and relax and they allowed us to check in early. The weather being on the hotter side we appreciated the fan included in the room, the breeze making the stay so nice. Additionally the prices for the washing machine and dryer were fantastic making it super affordable to just clean the clothes we used during our stay so we could go home fresh. Not to mention this hotel is located right smack in the middle of everything, the waterfront and pikes market isn't far off plus plenty of tasty restaurants nearby and a cool lowkey bar just around the corner! The convention center is also close by so it really is the place to stay for any occasion.

The only issue I had with my stay was there was no 'do not disturb' door knob hangers and the room we had one side of the window was chained so it wouldn't open fully leaving the room unbearably stuffy the first day and night even with the fan blasting air the whole time.

I loved the old look to the hotel. It had an old historic feel. And having a lot of places to order food from literally around the corner was nice. I especially like the little coffee shop across the street. They make a pretty good BLT.

The only thing that I didn't care for was the fact that you needed a fan to keep cool. However, sleeping under a fan proved to work wonders for me. And the lighting in the room was lacking. I found that a couple of lamps didn't have bulbs in them.

This hotel is unusual in that it is a reasonably priced in an expensive area. I expected to be underwhelmed but was pleasantly surprised by how clean fresh interesting and characterful it was. The staff were welcoming and helpful. My room was fresh with windows that actually opened and I was very comfortable there. I would definitely go again.

It’s quite a hill to climb, but once I found the Downtowner bus in the next street problem solved.

The rooms are a good size - a bit like a one bedroom apartment i.e. included a small kitchen and lounge area. It's in a nice area. Friendly and helpful staff. Old style and Good value for money

It's quite a hike uphill from the station so would not want to try walk there with luggage.

The room was basic, no frills. It’s an older hotel but it was clean. A clean room is the highest importance to me and this room met m expectations. The staff was good. The neighbourhood was safe. The parking was not free which was disappointing. $24 for 24 hours was expensive especially considering that other hotels I’ve stayed at always had free parking.

I didn’t like having to pay for parking on top of the room fee.

The room was spacious, the two twin beds were perfect for me and my friend, and the kitchenette was super convenient! The place had an old-school charm that was very endearing. We truly loved the place.

The room could have used an extra box fan since there was no A/C, but I guess we probably could have requested one. Some heavier curtains in the bedroom to keep out the morning light would also have been nice.

Really cool old building in perfect location to see a show on pike st. Good value and quirky, charming old room with kitchen and a great view. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bed was nice and firm and clean

The furniture definitely look and feel old and a little gross but I wasn’t spending time on the couch. Elevator is slow and old. Don’t come here if you like everything to be modern and updated and pristine

The location was perfect, walking distance from the train station and downtown and also close to useful transit lines. The historic decor was great. I wish I could live in this building.

The stove in the room was a remnant from former times and didn't work, but not a big deal. It wasn't the fault of the hotel, but there was also quite a bit of noise outside - people arguing in the street late at night.

The historical building was gorgeous and the location couldn’t have been better! First Hill is a super safe and nice part of town with little traffic noise compared to downtown, and super convenient to the bud routes to get downtown and elsewhere in the metro area! The rooms were basic and very clean, beds were comfortable, and staff was so friendly and helpful!

For the price, nothing much!
