This is a lovely stay next to a hospital. The neighborhood is quiet for being just a few blocks from downtown. The building is historic with large, comfortable rooms with all the necessities. The 9th floor patio is lovely, as well. I would absolutely stay here again.

On the 6th floor the internet/Wifi was difficult to maintain on my tablet and my husband's laptop. While the furnishings were comfortable, my back and hips really didn't like the bed (I woke up every night with back/hip pain). No air conditioning was a concern, but with the provided box fan in the room it was comfortable.

Ashley and Dominic were OUTSTANDING! Great customer service and excellent at making you feel comfortable when we were there for a family members medical procedure. Not any fun for sure. We had several engaging conversations with both when they weren't busy and my husband and I committed how nice it was not to talk about medical stuff. VERY friendly without seeming like it was just "Their Job"! The old charm of the building was awesome.

The only complaint was it was hot in the rooms. They do have window fans. BUT.... we knew that before booking. The building is old, and it was doable. So, really not a complaint, just an observation.

You couldn't get any closer to Virginia Mason Hospital. The facility was very clean. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Beds and pillows very comfortable.

The Inn must have been a grand lady when she was built, in 1928 I think. But as she approaches 100 years old, she is beginning to show her age. The hotel does not have air conditioning (disclosed at time of reservation) so open windows for fresh. cool air are a must. They have been replaced but the job was piss poor as when you raised them they fell into the room, dangerous in my opinion. Deferred maintenance abounds. Soap dish broken off wall in shower, tub drain needed attention. I believe fixtures may not be ADA compliant. The hotel does not provide on-site parking. This adds to your cost as you have to pay for parking if you can find it. No breakfast provided or coffee provided in lobby.

The housekeeping and maintenance staff were very helpful, as I was there for surgery at VM. The front desk staff...not so much. Housekeeping staff were very sweet! Maint. staff helped with our luggage and wouldn't accept a tip. Room was generous and clean. Charming old hotel.

Front desk staff didn't budge...we struggled to get luggage up the front steps only to find out on our way out that there was a handicapped entrance. They didn't make eye contact...there were 2, so one person could have assisted us. They were not helpful or welcoming.

Pretty much everything about my experience from the check in to the elevator and the roof top terrace. The location is fabulous with interesting eateries close by, and a walk down Spring St. takes you to Elliott Bay. Even the hike back up was enjoyable.

Well, I visited in March, and I assumed the lack of AC would be tolerable. It was but just. The southern exposure of my room and lack of AC would make my room very uncomfortable during the summer and early fall. The room also had a largish dresser that took up valuable moving around space. The room has loads of closet space, so the dresser remained unused and in the way for me.

Ashley and Dominic were OUTSTANDING! Very friendly and genuine to talk to after hours at the hospital. The room was very clean and comfortable.

Not a complaint, just an observation, no air-conditioning. We knew that before we booked. The location out wayed the need for one. It's an old, beautiful building, with the hospital within steps away. You don't even need to go outside, just around the corner!

First and foremost, the staff were amazing! Everyone was so nice and friendly. Special mention: Gigi, I do believe she is an angel in disguise! The property is connected to the hospital, which is why we chose it. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. There are some small shops within walking distance and we were able to find things that we forgot and ran short of during our extended, unplanned trip.

The size of the elevator. However, very common for old buildings.

The room was so comfortable and the rooftop had a great view! The staff were super friendly and accommodating. We loved the vintage feel of the hotel. The location couldn't have been better.

I wish there had been a coffee shop or water available in the lobby. But they're working on getting a coffee shop/restaurant ready for guests!

Everyone who works here is very sweet and lovely. I really enjoyed my stay. No there is no air conditioning and the hotel discloses that so please stop giving bad reviews if you don’t do your research. Rooftop has an amazing view.

I was pleased with my stay you can walk to everything but do know you’ll be hiking uphill to get back to the hotel so bring good shoes.

Everything! The rooms were large and very comfortable. Excellent location. The food at the cafe was excellent. Loved the outside sitting area overlooking the city.

Air conditioning would be nice but they did have a fan for the window. I still would choose this hotel if I go back to Seattle.
